I have gotten cinnamon buns through The Grainless Baker, which you might be able to find if you live in PA-NJ-NY area. They are sold through healthfood stores. Their products are wonderful.

If not and you enjoy cooking..... I am sure one of our other members might have a homemade recipe that they use. I am not much help in that area.

Kinnikinnick also makes some great cinnamon rolls; when I still ate dairy, I used to put Philadelphia cream cheese on top--yum!

I can get Kinnikinnick in some local health food stores, and what I can't get locally, I order from their website.

Chebe has a good mix for those.

It's Open Original Shared Link one.

I have a wonderful recipe. It is a bit time-consuming because it has to sit in the fridge over night. But the results are GREAT. Let me know if you want it, and I can post it on here.

Ok, here is the recipe. I don't remember where I got it, but it was somewhere off the internet. I have to make a double batch because these go so quick!

I buy the Ener-G brand. I make a bit of vanilla icing to put on the top. Can't do cream cheese. We're allergic.

To me, cinnamon buns were always an excuse to have the warm, gooey, cinnamon sugar and the cream cheese icing!

Seems to me, that wonderful flax skillet bread recipe that someone posted a few weeks ago (the one I've been making 3 times a week ever since: Open Original Shared Link would work well--just add more sugar to the basic recipe, drop big gobs onto a greased baking sheet, top with cinnamon sugar (and maybe pecans, hmmm), bake, and ice with cream cheese icing.

Roben Ryberg's biscuit recipe would also work well.

Man, I'm getting hungry....

bbs,

I've been craving Grands biscuits. :P

Last year, before I was diagnosed, every time we would have Grands, eggs, sausage (or bacon, or linkies), I would feel ill afterwards. Having never heard of Celiac, I suspected a sudden intolerance to eggs. Or perhaps the Grands being so rich, especially with butter and syrup. Now of course, I know it was the biscuits. Damn the bad luck!

I've been eating the gluten-free waffles. They're OK, but no Grands.

best regards, lm

I use Bette Hagmans basic gluten-free mix. It is: 2 parts rice flour, 2/3 part potato starch, 1/3 part tapioca starch (6 cups rice flour, 2 cups potato starch, 1 cup tapioca starch). I only use Asian rice flour

I use this mix for most of my cooking since I cook so much and I can't afford the premade mixes!

Was the card itself lost or just the record or both?

We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
