I also have a letter from my doctor asking that I be allowed to Blue Ice. I spoke with TSA at my local airport and they said with a note it should be ok but I stopped I would need to ask for a supervisor. TSA did ask that I bring only the minimum amount of blue ice required and do not include any forbidden food items such as yogurt. A premade Peanut Butter...

ARCHIVED Baked Lays
Phyllis28 replied to monkeymc890's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
An alternative you might want to consider are Kettle Brand Bakes Potato Chips, lightly salted. The ingredients are gluten free and they do not contain any Olestra. Since there are Kettle Brand Bakes made from wheat products there is probably a risk of cross contamination. I have not had any problems with them. -
ARCHIVED gluten-free Food At Restaurants
Phyllis28 replied to Franceen's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I travel for business and I always book a hotel with a kitchen. I stay at a Residence Inn or the TownPlace Suites by Marriott. I believe that Hilton has the Homewood Suites with kitchens. I always book a flight that arrives in time to go grocery shopping and I pack my own food. Since I am usually staying in a different hotel than everyone else I rent... -
I am sorry for the loss of your aunt. If you are driving you might want to pack a cold meal in a soft lunch box with blue ice for the funeral reception. A suggestion would be salad, cold meat, salad dressing, gluten free bread or crackers, fruit and yogurt. Bring it to the reception and eat when everyone else does. Then you don't have to worry about what...

I have never seen Gatorade in a can but it does come in powder form. Just add water. -
I ignore the "No Food Rule" on a regular basis. I have also found that I need to deal with restaurants and caterers myself. Pull out the American Disabilities Act if you have to. Bringing your own food is a reasonable accomadation.

That's terrible. I do not know if the medicine still exists, when my son was little the doctor prescribed a topical cream that we put on and covered about an hour before any needles. It numbed the area so the needle would not hurt. -
