  1. I allow my daughter one of these per day. At first I objected, but... I have a super hard time getting her to eat her vegetables or take her vitamins. So I finally decided that at least with these she is getting some vitamins. Probably not the right ones though. She is very picky and will only drink the pink ones. Not sure what they have in them. She...
  2. Daughter loves these! She has them for birthdays instead of cake.
  3. Last year I made apple crisp. This year I will make pumpkin bread and cranberry muffins.
  4. I would beware of the butter at Outback because I read here that there is flour in it. Or at least there can be. I've never eaten there. Their menu does not appeal to me. We have the gluten free pasta at Olive Garden and Old Spaghetti Factory but sometimes they still put croutons on the salad even when we remind them not to. We eat at a few Mexican...
  5. My daughter just showed me a round, two toned Jolly Rancher and asked me if she could eat it. She just expects me to automatically know if something is safe or not. I don't! I told her if the ingredients are not on the wrapper to assume it isn't safe. We do go out before Halloween and check all the things she normally eats just to see if there are changes...
  6. They were easy to make. I will say that. The cheese sauce was not so good though. Had clumps in it that I couldn't get out. And when I tried to spread it across the top, there wasn't enough. I added some sharp cheddar that had been grated. Daughter ate it first. At first she said she liked it but then she quickly said she did not like it and could...
  7. My favorite chili recipe is very easy. The basic recipe is three cans of beans (different kinds) a can of corn and a jar of salsa, mixed together and heated through. Drain the beans and corn or not depending on how much liquid is in there and how thick you want it. I usually doctor it up some by adding chili powder (to taste), cocoa powder (about a teaspoon...
  8. I have used some of their products but can't remember what. I think perhaps they were things that came in a can.
  9. Throw it or give it away. I once fell for that. Saw an ad on TV for some frozen product and actually went to the store to look for it. Luckily the pasta was big and obvious. And then I thought... What in the world was I thinking? Same thing when I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I could buy pies for my daughter's birthday at school. ...
  10. I plan to make the cheesy hash browns on Halloween. I know daughter would love the fried rice but she's allergic to peas and I'm allergic to eggs so that's a no go. I wish they made some other flavors that were gluten free.
  11. I would read to see if it says something like, "Processed on equipment with wheat", or something similar. A lot of their stuff does. If so, then I wouldn't eat it.
  12. There is a brand called Go Organic that seems to fit your needs. You can do a search online for it. I can't seem to find the manufacturers website but do see a lot of places that sell it.
  13. If it were me, I would go to the grocery store. I would probably buy gluten-free canned turkey or maybe some packaged gluten-free deli style turkey. Maybe some pre-made mashed potatoes if they were safe. If not, then a plain potato that could be "baked" in the microwave or maybe a package of precooked rice. I don't do desserts, but perhaps an apple baked...
  14. She has all the CDs and DVDs she wants right now. Perhaps she will find some new ones between now and then. She hates puzzles so I wouldn't get those things. I have gotten them for neices and nephews. She also dislikes getting money because she feels it is too impersonal. She accepts it from our relatives who live far away because she knows that they...
  15. I am sooo sick of pizza at the parties. I usually make it. Now we have Garlic Jim's. I can order gluten-free pizza, but it is expensive. There is also Bostons's where I can get it to go.
  16. I'm pretty sure she would never go fishing in any way shape or form. I have a fish phobia so I know I wouldn't take her! As for the bible, it's a book and she hates books. I don't buy many DVDs. I think they are pretty much a waste of money. She does buy them for herself sometimes but I don't know about that one. She would also not...
  17. I don't like turkey either. My favorite Thanksgiving fodos are mashed potatoes and raw veggies.
  18. She would never do any fishing or hunting. Her dad would like to take her. She said she would be a vegetarian but she just loves chicken too much! To eat that is. She doesn't really like any other kind of meat. We have the Cranium game and I think all the others made by the same company. We like Cranium but my parents have bad eyes and can't read...
  19. Her dad is currently living in another state. As for getting her things she simply doesn't need like pajamas, that's just not an option. Doesn't need any toiletries either. Sorry to hear of the theft. SIL's house was robbed last year right before Christmas. Not only did they steal all the presents plus the TV, they destroyed parts of the house. ...
  20. She's not really interested in arts and crafts. We did a lot of that stuff when she was little, but she doesn't do it now. I can't tell you how many craft supplies and projects we just got rid of because she has no interest. I dd ask her about an art class but she wouldn't do it. Not that she really has time to. Dance takes up four afternoons/nights...
  21. As I said, I only have the one child. I don't think I could handle any more! And because I had a high risk pregnancy and almost died, I don't think I could even if I wanted to. I was one of those people who never really wanted kids. I just figured if it was meant to be, it would happen. And it did. I pesonally feel that I do owe plenty to my...
  22. I guess I am lucky. Angela doesn't play any sports outside of occasional golf. She is actually quite good at it but hates it so I don't encourage her to do it. Golf is her dad's thing. She does have a friend whose dad works at a golf course and she is good at it too. So husband will take them once in a while. She puts up with it every once in a while...
  23. I don't see how you can spoil someone without material goods. We live in a material world. Oh gawd. Now I sound like Madonna.
  24. Bonding is certainly not something we need. Most of the time it is just the two of us here and she is like my shadow. I can not go anywhere without her. She is spoiled. She's an only child. I don't see anything wrong with being spoiled. I was spoiled and I still am. As for as expecting presents under the tree, I think that's pretty much a given...
  25. I use the Tinkyada for most things. For pasta salad I use a corn and quinoa blend. For tuna casserole, I use a quinoa pasta that I get from the health food store. All of the pasta is cheaper at my health food store. I did buy some shapes today that are different than what I can get at the health food store. I tend to buy those when they are on sale....
