  3. My sister and I (sister also celiac) had a terrible teeth-clenching problem before gluten free. I had also extreme muscle tension throughout my body, which did not relax with massage therapy. I took a relaxation class, and the more I tried to relax a part of the body, the greater the tension became I still have some problems with my legs and shoulders...

  6. Yes, at the time I had intestinal candida I was trying to eat healthy/lose weight and I was taking rabbit food (lettuce, carrot and celery sticks, etc.) to work for lunch, and could not understand why I was spending so much time in the bathroom Nothing was being digested. Before I went gluten free I was an omnivore with the exception of corn and...

  8. Oh yes! That helped plenty. Just as good as eating them Set the drool going
  9. I agree with Gee Eff. Just because your doc screwed up and didn't do the biopsy testing, and your PA tells you to go gluten free, is not a reason not to do the blood testing right now!! before the antibodies leave your system. Because once gone, coaxing those little suckers back for testing can be pretty painful
  10. We are all keeping you in our thoughts, hon.

  13. Yes, and yes, I think are the answers to your question. Whether it be SIBO, or SIBO and leaky gut, people with these conditions will react to foods and will even develop intolerance to foods in the case of leaky gut, that would not bother them if those conditions were not present. Bloating, particularly, with SIBO, and also diarrhea. I am speaking from...

  15. Not mine - my sister was hooked on codeine (you can get it OTC here, as in Panadeine, but I think they are making you sign for it now)

  18. Three-year supply of tasty cooking fat
  19. Since love2travel is offline, parboil is equivalent to blanching, enough cook to stop the spoiling process, but not the whole way, and par bake is cook halfway, so it is no longer raw and subject to rising, but still needs to go back in the oven for the finishing bake. Like the semi-baked rolls you can find in the supermarket that you pop in the oven for...
  20. What it is with that stuff is that it really does jazz up the system, so they put all these dopey-making things in it to counteract the jazz. But you and I already got so much jazz that if they jazz us up further nothing will dope us down.
  21. They never manage to knock me out with their so-called sedatives - gotta bring in the heavy troops like a general to take this woman down. And that went for colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, but sssshh. don't normally tell newbies this possibility. But if you tell them, they know it, and they still can't sedate you, that's incompetence or willfulness...
  22. You and me both. If I really need to stay awake, Nyquil does the trick
  23. Welcome to our community, Mom! I am glad she finally was diagnosed and is healing. Did you know that your other children should be tested for celiac, too? And at least every three years after, unless you have the genetic test for them and they do not carry the same genes. And you and your husband should also be tested although I note you are going gluten...
  24. Poor wee Re-peep. What a rough way to start a life. I'm pulling for her!! SIT DOWN already, mom!
  25. I try not to overly dwell on this, or overburden you guys with it, but thought that almost two years on you might be interested in the state of our city. http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/opinion/8140685/Christchurch-from-an-outsiders-eyes
