Many celiacs do eat naturally gluten-free products, for example tomato paste or sauces may not be labelled gluten-free, but are naturally. This section of our site has many articles on this: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/gluten-free-foods/ for example: Some celiacs only eat items with "gluten-free" or that are Certified Gluten-Free, but...

Welcome @NoNummies! You did not mention if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. Since you posted in this forum would it be safe to say that you are gluten-free? If so, you may also want to re-check your diet to make sure it is 100% gluten-free. Also, an article came out just today (need to find the link again) that indicates the best time...

I believe many farmed fish alternatives would not have such a risk, and this issue is more with wild caught fish.

Many larger supermarkets here in California now include their own in-house bakeries. Our local Safeway has one. I can often smell wheat bread baking when I'm shopping, but have never felt or gotten ill from this. There have been people on this forum who claim to get ill nearly instantly in such situations, but I do not believe that there is a scientific basis...

Welcome to the forum @RussHunt! So this article is a summary of a study that covers this topic in more detail, and I will admit that it wasn't one of our most popular articles, but it is based on published research...we didn't just make it up. I think reactions will vary greatly from person to person, so it's probably best to do everything reasonable...

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSE: THS) is voluntarily recalling one lot of Restaurant Style Italian Dressing sold under the brand name Tuscan Garden. This recall is being conducted because the product is labeled as Restaurant Style Italian Dressing, while some of the bottles may contain Asian Sesame Dressing. The Restaurant Style Italian Dressing label indicates...

Should I be concerned? Bad Symptoms
Scott Adams replied to UKguy88's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Type 1 Diabetes is more common on those with celiac disease, so I would begin by getting screened for that just to be safe. Also, recheck your diet for any hidden gluten, and I agree that you may need vitamin/mineral supplements as well. -
PTSD In-Patient facility with Celiac Diet
Scott Adams replied to Brad2022's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I looked at a few web sites, but none mention the food they serve. For example: https://www.therefuge-ahealingplace.com/ptsd-treatment/ This leads me to believe that you likely would need to call them to find out. -

I want to add that you can order topical lidocaine lotion that can help with the itch, and some people have reported than Ben-Gay cream helps.

Welcome to the forum! First, you have a positive tTg-IgA test for celiac disease, so there is a very high chance that you have celiac disease, which would mean that the rash you've described is very likely DH. To me it sounds like you might be trying to find another explanation for your rash, but given the evidence you presented, including your symptoms...

Welcome to the forum! Also keep in mind that iodine can also trigger DH outbreaks in some people, so you may need to avoid seafood, seaweed, and dairy/cheese as well, but not everyone with DH has an issue with iodine.

Airbourne Gluten

Are you using the products, or are they just in the house? If this shampoo is just in your house you should be totally safe. Super sensitive people who use such a shampoo may have issues. -

Are Celiac Disease Drug Treatments Just a Pipe Dream?
Scott Adams commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Additional Concerns
It is true that some barley based beers are extremely low in gluten, but not 100% gluten-free. Some may be below 20ppm which means they would technically be gluten-free in many countries. This article may be helpful:- 32 comments

I think this can vary greatly from person to person, including how severe the withdrawal symptoms can be. For me it was bad for the first week, and improved greatly during my second week after going gluten-free. I also experienced so much symptom relief during that initial couple of weeks that the positive benefits I was experiencing far outweighed my withdrawal...

I believe I have this! Serology tests all negative
Scott Adams replied to Hb333's topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis
Here is some info on going gluten-free, which should only be done after all testing for celiac disease or DH has been completed. Even if you end up with negative test results you still may want to give this diet a try for a few months to see if you get some relief: -
I would just wear a mask if you are concerned about this...a covid type mask should be sufficient, but if you are still worried about it go with an N95 type mask.
