  1. The links in the article still work. When checking the status It says: To me it looks dead...most likely killed by the drug industry.
  2. Are you taking the test to see where your current antibody levels stand, perhaps to see if you are getting gluten in your diet? The test isn't really designed for that, but follow up tests can be helpful to see if your levels are dropping, which they should be. Do you eat outside your home? This is another common source of contamination.
  3. Are you by chance eating oats? Around 10% of celiacs cannot tolerate oats, even if they are gluten-free oats. Also, have you tried eliminating dairy?
  4. It hasn't gone anywhere yet, but we'll report on this should anything change.
  5. I've not heard of this being associated with celiac disease, but it's possible. Be sure to follow up with this with your doctor.
  6. You have a friend who got a knee brace to help cope with gluten sensitivity? Really?
  7. Celiac.com 03/29/2021 - A team of researchers recently set out to analyze the connection between celiac disease and depression in children, adolescents, and young adults with Type 1 diabetes. For their study, the team looked at nearly...
  8. It’s possible that the diet will help normalize your thyroid issues, if they are caused by gluten sensitivity. I hope the diet works for you, and keep us posted on your progress.
  9. I agree and hope it’s a temporary condition, but nowadays having celiac isn’t so bad, at least in comparison to having it in the 90’s of before, where you’d be looked at like a space alien when you talked about it with almost anyone—and especially at restaurants!
  10. You may need to call them directly to ask, I could not find anything on the Internet with the ingredients.
  11. There have been many posts on Lyme Disease over the years: https://www.celiac.com/search/?&q=lyme&search_and_or=and and it used to be a very popular topic. Some research has been done on this connection as well, including this study which does show a small connection:
  12. PS - I think the high blood score is unlikely to be caused by anything else, but it’s possible. You could keep eating gluten until you can get another blood test, and next time get a full celiac blood panel done.
  13. Welcome to the forum! It’s known that certain viruses can trigger celiac disease, so it is interesting that yours may have been triggered by COVID-19. We just published an article showing that Covid does change the microbe balance in the gut:
  14. Please let us know how it goes. Feel free to share the results with us.
  15. Just make sure the meds are gluten-free! Yes, some use wheat starch and other ingredients. This list may be helpful for food ingredients:
  16. That is interesting, and I will try to get a copy of this study and summarize it. Let us know how things turn out.
  17. If you are still eating gluten-free I would still request a blood test. As mentioned, some celiacs don't have villi damage, or the gastro doctor doesn't take a biopsy in the right area, and the blood results should actually be done in order to diagnose CD.
  18. I use the one who is an advertiser here called "GliadinX" and after I started using them every time I eat outside my home I stopped having issues. We've published many articles here summarizing studies that show that people who eat out regularly, like myself, get regular amounts of contamination, almost no matter how careful the restaurant claims to be. I...
  19. I've not heard of this symptom being related to going gluten-free, so I agree with @BuddhaBar here, and think that it could be caused by stress or other issues. For myself I notice I always sleep best when I exercise during the day, and avoid caffeine after noon.
  20. I did a search and found this article: https://theceliacdiva.com/gluten-free-exfoliant/
  21. These are great questions, and I'm not sure about this, but believe that they would likely follow proper protocols for storing and shipping the samples. It would be great to get an answer about these questions from them directly, have you tried asking Quest Diagnostics?
  22. Hi Nancy, welcome to the forum. Please note that it's best to post in all lower case, than all capital letters, as the latter is considered something like yelling 😲. There are many products that are naturally gluten-free, although the safest options are ones with "gluten-free" on their label, or even better, certified gluten-free. If you have a ...
