It's a challengeto say the least... You stated you haven't found...

ARCHIVED Can I Buy gluten-free Flour At The Asian Market ?
mamaw replied to aseidman62's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Asian flours are okay but flours from China may contain lead. After using rice flour from Asian sources , I found my lead levels were much higher than they ever were before using rice flour.... So now I stick with flour I know are tested . It hurts my pocket but health is what counts in the end. Without good health , cash does not do us any good because... -
ARCHIVED Newly Diagnosed
mamaw replied to kasey1953's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Kasey When a biospy is done , usually the docs take three biospies. Not always do those three small biospies pick-up anything. Plus be thankful if you have no villi damage, that's a good thing. Next, you could maybe not be a celiac but be gluten sensitive or intolerant... there are now more gluten intolerant people then true celiac people. Also, many... -

Hi Mary Welcome to the group. There is a wonderful Italian Place in Sharon Pa called Ferrara's Little Italy, they have a nice gluten-free menu plus a bakery. Three Sisters bread is what they serve , very good. Sisters Three are form our area. In Indiana, Pa there is Spaghetti Benders which also has a gluten-free menu. More pricey than the Sharon, Pa eatery... -
In my opinion Applebees is not a good choice. When we were in Florida on vacation we went to an Applebees for supper. When I ask about gluten free choices the manager was so wonderful. She said nothing was safe , not even the grilled chicken because of the glaze(flash frozen). She even went so far as to bring out this big box of chicken so I could read for...

ARCHIVED gluten-free Pasta For Cold Pasta Salads?
mamaw replied to sallyterpsichore's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I agree with RiceGuy. Cook the gluten-free pasta a minute or two longer than ala dente. Rinse in cold water. I've been doing it this way for many years ...never had a cold hard pasta result... if you overcook it the pasta will break up into mush.. Maybe a slight learning curve here..... good luck -

I would love to find a doctor that would give natural thyroid treatments but non around me, none not even close! My good doctor was chased out of town years ago. He's in Vegas practicing now. It would be a long commute!

cytomel----- I was on this for about 9 months prior to my RAI. I loved the stuff but in my neck of the woods most mainstream doctors will not use it. They call it "speed" but it was the best time of my life! It cleared up rosacea, non-sleep patterns, constipation, no brain fog, energy to spare, A well rounded sense of well being.... If anyone has a rapid...

I think the company you are referring to is Toro. They used to be sold in the US but recently close shop in the US. The rule of thumb is under 20ppm's....with that said I did eat the Toro mixes because I was sent samples a few years back. They were good & I had no outward symptoms... optive word here is : outward..... For me I wouldn't run out &...

Hi Roda I never heard of B-syndrome befrore, very interesting....but you can buy testing PH paper at a health store . It is not as good as going through the nostril but its simple & may just give you a clue... Just hoping better health is or will come quickly.

sorry you are feeling so poorly. I pray you find an answer & relief quickly. I have often read where Zantac, pepcid & so on only mask the problem & at times do more harm than good. Short term use may be okay but I don't think long term use is good. Short term meaning a couple of days at best. They make the problem feel better but do not correct...
