  1. I've had so many kidney, bladder, sinus, and respiratory infections in the last twenty years. I was starting to get immune to the antibiotics the doctors were giving me and I had to start buying the most expenisive brands. Most of the time I had to get two to three presriptions of them just to recover. I was sick so much out of every year. It was horrible...
  2. I just wanted to add that I was getting gluten from these vitamins, too. I took me a while to figure it out. I called this company three times... I was taking the same vitamins for months and I had so much energy, but I was still having my same old gluten reaction, so I stopped taking them to see if I felt better. All my reactions went away. It's crazy how...
  3. Look at your diet to see if it's something else giving you these reactions. I too, really doubt that it's the bottled water. Good Luck!
  4. Sorry -I don't trust the gluten free medication list. I always call the company myself first. If a company tells me they can't guarantee a product is gluten free, or there is a chance of CC, I don't take it. It sounds like you already did some calling. I would just start changing the meds to a different company to see if you feel any different. Maybe they...
  5. Hi Seth! Welcome to the board! I know exactly what you're going through -believe me- we all do! There's so much great information here -just keep reading. Everything will get so much easier once you get used to the diet. It would really help you to stick with basic fresh foods for now- fresh meats, fresh veggies and fruit. You have to watch your spices...
  6. Hi Garysgirl! Believe me - I completely understand how you feel. I can't believe your Doctor never ordered blood work for you. Maybe you really just need a good doctor and a dietitian who understand celiac disease more. My first GI doctor was so clueless about the disease. Even though he diagnosed me with celiac through upper endoscopy & probably...
  7. I agree. I wouldn't take them. I actually started taking GNC Women's Ultra Mega Active 3 weeks ago. They're gluten free and I just called them to ask about CC. I'm really sensitive & so far these are the only good vitamins I have found that I can take without having any reactions.
  8. Hi Wenmin, I know I was getting some CC of gluten from the brand name synthriod last year. I called the Abbott company twice & they told me the same thing - "They didn't add gluten to the synthriod but they didn't test for gluten & they couldn't guarantee it was gluten free." Last year after being on the gluten free diet for three months, I didn...
  9. Hi Sarah, I really feel for you. I know what's it's like to have that much anxiety. It's a horrible feeling. You've gotten lots of great advice from everyone. I know deep breathing, meditating, journaling, exercise & talking to a counselor really helped me when I was feeling really stressed out and anxious. Your post reminded me a lot of myself when...
  10. Thanks cassP! Good luck with the Armour!
  11. I just use Dove -fragrance free soap. My dermatologist recommended it to me a long time ago when I was having acne problems (now I know it was because of the gluten). She said that's all we really need -a gentle soap that's easy on your skin with no harsh chemicals. It doesn't matter if your skin is dry or oily. And you can use a little exfoliating sponge...
  12. Yes! I used to get acid reflex with them also, when I was first diagnosed. I thought maybe I was allergic to them at first. But, like everyone else says, they are hard to digest & if your small intestines aren't healed yet you might just have a hard time digesting them. The good news is this might just be temporary. My dietitian recommended me to...
  13. Hi there, I've been taking Levoxly from King Pharmaceuticals & it is gluten free the last time I checked -last year.I'm really sensitive & I've never had any problems with it. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Thanks Patti for clarifying this! I know I am a sensitive one also, so I probably won't be able to eat them. After reading everyone's posts about these for the last year, I was too afraid to even try them. I just stick with Lays Stax & Xochitl Corn Chips. I used to eat chips everyday before going gluten free, but now I don't get those cravings...
  15. Hi, I've been taking Levoxly 100 from King Pharmaceuticals & it is gluten free the last time I checked -last year. My doctor writes on my prescription "Brand name" so the pharmacy can't give me any generic brands. I'm very sensitive & I've never had any problems with it. I did take synthyriod for my first three months of being gluten free....
  16. Hi GlutenGladi! Thanks for the tip! No, I haven't been taking any, but I have heard about the great benefits of fish oil. How much do you think I should take? I'm very active - I exercise, lift weights & I might try to get pregnant this year (hopefully) What do you think? Thank for the advice!
  17. Hi Carolina! I use Paul Mitchell. It does have soy in it, but I don't know if you have problems with soy or not. I've been using it ever since I've been gluten free & it hasn't bothered me at all. Paul Mitchell is very good with listing all of their ingredients and if their product has wheat in it, it will be listed in bold print. I also use the...
  18. Thanks so much Patti!!! I was thinking about buying these, too, and did a little research on them. When I called they told me there is no gluten in there facility so there is no chance of cross contamination and they test for gluten! That's wonderful! Very Impressive! Thanks again!
  19. I second Pocono Cream of Buckwheat. It's so good with milk and fresh blueberries or strawberries. I eat this about two times a week
  20. Hi everyone, I've really had a lot of problems with vitamins in the past year & I'm hoping someone could give me a good recommendation on a good gluten free vitamin and they know they're antibodies are normal. I'm really sensitive & I've started with Member's Mark then I switched to Megafood vitamins and Rainbow Light and then I changed to...
  21. I totally agree with T.H. ans Skylark - It does depend on how sensitive you are to gluten. I do avoid processed foods a lot. And I too mostly stick with home-cooked meals. I make a lot of food when I make dinners & then I freeze it. My home-made frozen meals are great when I don't have time to cook. I feel so much better so it's definitely worth it...
  22. I LOVE the Silk Almond Milk! I drink it everyday! And it's even good in mashed potatoes too! Yum!!!
  23. Hi there! I have allergies too & I live with cats. I do take regular clairton (over the counter) and it is gluten free. I usually take it once in a while when my allergies are really bad. I do nasal nasal irrigation, too, once a day & that really helps sine I have a lot of sinus problems. You get used to doing it after a while. I also had allergy...
  24. I would call the product number. Believe it or it could be made from barley. This is an "iffy one." Always call.
  25. I would really watch out for the "gluten free" snacks. I was getting glutened by a lot of them & "gluten -free" cereals. Just because it's says gluten-free, doesn't mean that it is completely free of gluten. I only trust Glutino. And then I only eat them once in a while. I was really skinny, too, but now, after I weeded all the things I was still getting...
