  1. No. Look at other people's profiles. that is what people can see on yours.
  2. I don't understand - what is "barley rice"? Blackberries in risotto? They do have dairy but I don't think that was the question Risotto is made with rice. It is possible, not likely, that a restaurant might add flour to thicken. I would always ask about the ingredients.
  3. It is probably considered non-emergent. You could see if you could get on a cancellation list? Or call everyday to see if anyone has cancelled for the next day?
  4. What are you trying to say? that they contain gluten? Why would you say that?
  5. This website has a lot of good info Open Original Shared Link
  6. Maybe share this from Celiac experts with your doctor? "New celiacs should receive follow-up testing twice in the first year after their diagnosis. The first appointment should occur 3-6 months after the diagnosis, and the second should occur after 1 year on a gluten-free diet. After that, a celiac should receive follow-up testing on a yearly basis...
  7. I eat The Edys without obvious gluten ingredients. A lot of companies will not claim gluten-free any longer if they don't test for gluten.
  8. But she isn't really IGA deficient as it pertains to Celiac. There is no tests with ranges just for Celiac. In Celiac, IGA deficient is less than 20. "What level is considered IgA deficient for someone being diagnosed with celiac disease? IgA deficiency (as it pertains to a celiac diagnosis) is a value less than 20 mg/do." ...
  9. Let's get back to the OP, OK? Liz - does he have Celiac!? If so, it might be a good idea to re- check his antibodies. You might want to be really strict with the lactose for a couple of weeks and see if that helps. If not, you may just have to eliminate foods and see what helps.
  10. There have been studies that indicate that a few Celiacs may react to pure oats. We have posted several on this site. and your warning that they contain " up to 20 ppm ", less than 20 ppm is considered gluten-free and safe for a Celiac. Also, pure oats, grown and processed to be gluten-free , should have no more gluten than any other plant grown...
  11. The term " allergen free" doesn't mean much. There is always someone allerigic to an ingredient. they may have meant the allergens that the US requires they list . If that is the case, gluten isn't one. They have to list " wheat". Oat straw might technically be considered " wheat free".
  12. Most people actually post a little info . But.... I will just answer the question in your title "Dermatitis herpetiformis without the Celiac gene?" Not likely. Probably isn't actually DH.
  13. Bob's Red Mill is gluten free. They may have some that doesn't say gluten-free, but the gluten-free stuff should be safe. Open Original Shared Link Which products are gluten free? All of our products marked with our gluten free symbol are produced in a dedicated facility and batch tested for gluten content. For a...
  14. The response was from 2011. They may have changed practices in the last 4-5 years. You might want to check with the company.
  15. But a eight -ten year old list shouldn't be helpful! It might give you a place to look for updated info. In this case, drinks, the info probably hasn't changed from a gluten perspective. But there have been other products that have added or deleted gluten in the space of a few years.
  16. Of course we need to be careful about these. Quaker is using a "sorting process" - not oats produced to be gluten-free. As we have seen with Cheerios, this process seems to have some issues. Would be nice to hear how they are testing to be certain the level of gluten is less than 20 ppm.
  17. Do you know why you need so much iron? I would want to find out the exact cause. Iron supplements are hard on the GI system. When I was first diagnosed with Celiac and very low on iron, I spread my iron out to twice a day. If you want it to be effective, you need to follow the exact directions - no calcium within a few hours before and after, taken...
  18. This thread is even older than the other one you replied to! Over 10 years! Lol i have never seen anything to show that these juices even have a realistic chance of cc. Perhaps there is more sugar or a fruit or other ingredient that bothers you?
  19. The post you are responding to is from 2008. Products can change in 8 years, so you should probably check the current ingredients and websites. That said, its unlikely juice will contain or be cc'd with gluten. But if it bothers you, don't drink it.
  20. Your first post is moderated to make sure you aren't some evil spammer selling drugs or fake passports! I am not seeing any other post for you awaiting approval or posted.
  21. I see no reason not to trust this company and its gluten free claims. I would be skeptical about this post. No company certifies "to be less that 10 parts per billion ". That is not even possible currently nor necessary to be considered gluten free. From their website - "we run rigorous tests to be sure that nothing...
  22. I think you mean refractory Celiac? 4 months gluten-free is a little early to diagnose that, I think. Open Original Shared Link What is refractory sprue? Refractory sprue is the term used when persistently damaged villi in the small intestine are not repaired after the gluten free diet has been successfully initiated and...
  23. You do get a skewed perspective on this forum. We get lots of people that may not actually have an issue with gluten, or have multiple issues, seeking help. These people may not get "well" while they are posting. Most people who are feeling better and have the whole gluten-free process worked out don't post anymore. It is just the nature of these types...

  25. I have never seen anything to indicate that Celiacs have a higher rate of allergic reaction to latex. I would love to see the research.
