  1. I didn't realize its been 3 years. What was the test negative last year? Might be time to tighten up your diet and environment. Do you have gluten in your home? Maybe you need to be stricter with how its handled. Make sure no one is using the gluten-free peanut butter or colander. That sort of thing. No eating out. Make sure any thing that could...
  2. How high were they before? Mine were off the top of the level. It took more than 6 months to get them all the way down. That is normal.
  3. Should have said....this is the info but what you chose to tell Hubby is your choice.
  4. Exactly! If they don't have the products you want.....don't give them your money!
  5. I know you are angry but we do not have a right to food at a baseball game. If the stadium decided not to sell food to anyone, that would not be a violations of everyone who wanted to buy overpriced food's rights. If the stadium decided to only sell snack items like chips and candy, is that a violation of the rights of someone who would like a steak? If...
  6. Open Original Shared Link This is a partial list of what stadiums have for gluten-free food. I know it isn't complete for my stadium as I found other things. Our food service " chef" said to email a week or so before the game I am going to and he could help me with some choice besides what is listed. I usually eat a little bit at home and get a Redbridge...
  7. We don't really have a right to eat at a baseball game. If you just spoke to the person selling tickets or whatever, that might not be the right person. Talk to the head of security or the GM. Tell them you have Celiac disease and can show them a note from your doctor. Might need to give a brief explanation of Celiac but, probably not as big stadiums...
  8. Sorry to disappoint you. You are not the first to ask this question. It should not be a concern. Kissing his gluteny mouth is a concern. Open Original Shared Link
  9. I have never heard of an airport that didn't allow you to carry food thru. They might not allow a full sized yogurt, but most of us carry sandwiches, nuts, candy, fruit, small squeeze packets of PB (in the liquids baggie),etc When I go to something like the baseball game, I email or call a few weeks ahead of time. There is usually an email for people...
  10. You could use Sweet n low or Splenda in your tea.
  11. First....slow down! Take a deep breathe. Here is a good place to start. Read ingredients. Wheat will be listed. Rye is in hardly anything but rye bread or rye crackers and will be listed as an ingredient. Barley is often listed as malt. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/page-2#entry851855
  12. Portia is very thin. Maybe she has it too?
  13. If the DH pops up after a few days of gluten, maybe you could get that biopsied. The child does need to eat gluten and have a fresh spot for the DH diagnosis. Here is info about a gluten challenge. This site has a lot of good info. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Once again....this is not a medical or scientific article. This is an Internet rumor. A " home economist" is not an expert in any medical science. There is no credible scientific evident for this " coffee cross- reacts" nonsense. If you have actual scientific or medical evidence from reliable medical sources, please provide it. Please read the forum...
  15. The " article" you reference is not from any doctor or medical center. Yet, somehow this person has managed to become an "Internet legend" with her " Internet myth". There is no scientific evidence for this coffee cross- reactive nonsense.
  16. Why not just drink coffee? It's gluten-free! Edited to say - why not decaf coffee?
  17. People like a hot beverage sometimes. Plain old hot water doesn't quite do it. But I thought maybe some easy to find, easy on the wallet tea?
  18. Just curious. Since these really don't resemble coffee, why not just drink tea? Lots of varieties and flavors to choose from.
  19. I got those when our grocery first stocked them. They held together ok but I thought the taste was a bit off. I tried them again a few weeks later, they were dry and crumbly. They weren't past the expiration date but I think that they don't hold up well on the shelf. I got a Gluten Free Bistro frozen crust. It held up well. Browned nicely with no...
  20. Maybe not....but this is CELIAC dot com so I'm assuming we are talking about gluten concerns.
  21. Not sure what exactly you want us to see but ...could you copy it and paste it here? I'll take your word that its what the lab says as I'm too lazy to look it up. I think I had a Celiac panel done by Lab Corp before.
  22. Personally, I am not concerned with gluten being in a shot or IV. It is unlikely there will be a protein as large as a gluten molecule injected. Also, the antibody reaction to gluten happens in the intestine not the muscle or blood stream. The link I posted to the U of C Celiac Center does not mention to watch for gluten in a shot. If that was a legitimate...
  23. In 7 days? That's a lot of bloating!
  24. I'm not familiar with those terms in that diet book. Starch, as an ingredient, can be made of different things. If its wheat, they will list "wheat". Often its corn. I don't know if she needs to go to extemes yet. Its only been a month. You might not even have figured out the gluten-free diet yet. Separate toasters? gluten-free colander? gluten...
  25. Many times your best source of reliable info is the products website Open Original Shared Link "Is Sweet'N Low safe for people with celiac disease?Yes. Sweet'N Low is safe for people with celiac disease. Sweet'N Low contains no gluten, nor does it come into contact with glutinous products such as wheat during its manufacture."
