  1. Have you used the little search square at the top? We just had this discussion the last few days. I know it was discussed before, too. You might find some info that way.
  2. How awful! I hope you feel better really soon!
  3. I think it's part of the allergen listing law. A bit of overkill. But people think white bread doesn't contain wheat....
  4. When my son had wisdom teeth out, he was hungry but couldn't chew. We made milkshakes in the blender with vanilla or chocolate ice cream, milk & peanut butter. Smoothies might work to - 2 cups frozen fruit, half banana & 6 oz of oj or container of yogurt. Freeeze juice or pop in ice cube trays. Pulverize in blender with a little extra juice...
  5. Juat found one not on line as a buy one sale and it does list gluten as an ingredient. CVS Daily Multiple Tablets Plus Iron Per Tablet: Vitamin A 5000 IU; Vitamin C 60 mg; Vitamin D 400 IU; Vitamin E 30 IU; Thiamin 1.5 mg; Riboflavin 1.7 mg; Niacin 20 mg; Vitamin B6 2 mg; Folic Acid 400 mcg; Vitamin B12 6 mcg; Pantothenic Acid 10 mg; Iron...
  6. I looked at the CVS website at the buy one get one free listed there and found this oneas the only multi vitamin I could see. I don't know where the gluten would be. CVS Daily Multiple Tablets For Women USP - Verified Dietary Supplement. Multivitamin with iron, calcium, zinc & folic acid. This formula contains essential nutrients for women that...
  7. The good thing about the fair food vendors is they usually only make 1-5 items and are owner operated. You should be able to get good answers about process & ingredients. I would think that the potato places that cut the potatoes into long curly pieces and fry them into bits of greasy goodness, might be OK. Most of them only do the potatoes & soft...
  8. I think this is a Cover your a statement. They list any gluten they know about but do not test for it. For example, they buy sugar to put in something. Its remotely possible but unlikely, that the company they buy it from has screwed up and there is gluten in it. So they don't want to guarantee another company's products. I think we have to use some...
  9. Hanging in here. Much better temp today and yesterday! Yeah! My baby is going today to get his High School locker and try to find his classrooms.
  10. Have you seen this? Open Original Shared Link
  11. Not sure why you said that about Chapstick. It is gluten-free unless you meant sharing it. I think you could have gotten some gluten from those treats. It can get under a fingernail or some place and jump out at you later. Make you co-workers gluten-free treats next time.
  12. If he's taking any vitamins, iron can do that to poop. Red wine, too but, if he got into that you have other problems. Oh, grape juice or some dark colored gatorade/Kool aid type things or jello. The crayons usually came out in pieces.
  13. That's what I did. Left a lunch in a cooler bag in a locker. People were bringing in food for whole families. The place was sooo crowded. Boys were on there own & went out to the shopping area and got food. Said it wasn't busy out there. Hub got ice cream because he didn't want to stand in a really long food line. The Back Lot Tour was great! ...
  14. Now you tell me! We were in the area last week on vacation. Boys took surfing lessons at Bolsa Chica!
  15. Kid Covered In Wheat? I always coated mine with colored sugar! Seriously, wipe him down and shake him out outside the school. And like SSG said, guard your drinks. But don't get too paranoid or make a big deal out of it. It can make them feel bad that they can eat stuff you can't and give them wierd ideas about food.
  16. Doesn't look like the voice is really coming out of her! Wow!
  17. I posted these before for a Boy Scout so maybe you saw them. Just put the frozen veggies in the cooler & they do fine. You can even freeze the meat if it will be a day or 2 til you cook. The adults are still talking about howgood the chicken ones were as they always do the hamburger. The key to tasting good is a little liquid like BBQ sauce, salsa...
  18. Sometimes, gas happens, even to good Celiacs.
  19. I'm a Caphalon fan like Tiffany. I had it for 23 years before Dx. Kept that for my glutinous family members and got a whole new set for me! Takes a lot of cabinet space but we must keep Mom happy. . Also, love Pyrex and corning ceramic for other stuff. Got a big ridged grill pan for the stove top to do BBQ chicken when we don't want to grill out...
  20. Jess - we need pics of your kitchen on the book. Or did I miss them when I was in the abyss? Dining room almost sort of finished, will post pic soon. Hope the crazy wall cover translates, we love it! Emily- M & I are in love with the fruity poodle. He has always said he would have a big dog like a Rotty or a lab mix and a little fluffy Bischon...
  21. Ravenwood -I'm going to use that one, too. Some people were like, "oh, is that what was wrong with you?". In a tone that sounds like I had said I had broken a nail. I tried to explain in more detail. One said "I have IBS and colitis. I should watch that, too but when it gets bad, I get steroids. I take medicine everyday so I don't have to watch what...
  22. Some doctors inflate the colon with air and this causes a lot of gas after. My father's Gi did it that way. My GI did not do that so I didn't have the problem. How come we have people on here from all types of jobs and expertise but no one who works with GI patients? I guess we would scare them off with our questions.
  23. I do that when I'm walking the dog. Only positive thoughts. If I can't think of happy stuff, I make up a story or count how many people have pink flowers or Halloween decorations, etc. After a few minutes, the bad stuff is gone.
  24. If you put the salad dressing on the bottom then the salad on top, it doesn't get too soggy. Just shake or turn upside down before eating. Cooked rice, pasta sauce, maybe some veggies or Italian sausage, mixed then covered with cheese and baked. Taste of pasta but cheaper then rice pasta. Cooking some stuff ahead is a key to fast dinner prep. I made...
  25. It's raining! Went from 103 to 73!
