  1. That is a good question! How can they be gluten-free if they contain wheat? You might want to email them and report back here.
  2. I have to agree. It does all seem a bit unlikely. Wheat flour would be very expensive to waste in these countries. And it really wouldn't keep them from sticking or growing mold as it gets sticky with moisture. I would think that that some of the Celiac organizations would warn us. I think it's likely these companiy service reps didn't understand...
  3. I am not sure why they would use wheat flour. When damp, wheat flour quickly clumps up and gets sticky.
  4. That's a new one to me..... I would think wheat flour, imported into their country, would be too expensive for this use.
  5. Have you tried plain coffee? Both of those choices have a lot of extra "stuff". Maybe it isn't even coffee?
  6. Sorry. there is no scientific evidence for cross-reactive to gluten foods. There may be a real reason you are feeling better off of coffee, but coffee does not cause a Celiac immune response. Open Original Shared Link "There is not yet reliable data about cross-reactivity. As for the alleged possibility that many gluten-free foods or drinks...
  7. If you are on a gluten-free diet because of Celiac Disease - this is very irresponsible of your doctor! YOU CAN NEVER EAT WHEAT!
  8. The nachos should be gluten-free. Obviously, there is a big chance of cross contamination, but it wouldn't be a big enough amount for a gluten challenge. Eating cheese...which you say you have never been able to eat.... I wouldn't blame that reaction on the chance of a slight crumb of gluten.
  9. Never seen butter with gluten.
  10. You must ingest gluten to get a Celiac reaction. If you worked where there is flour in the air, like a bakery, you would probably swallow some when breathing. I doubt you can breathe in gluten at McDonalds. So maybe you are ingesting it? I would start looking for another job.
  11. Gluten must be ingested to cause a response in the small intestine. If you are experiencing these skin issues where you have applied the deodorant, I would think that there is some ingredient the you might be contact allergic to? If a new product caused me to itch where applied, I would throw it out! If the skin issues are in a...
  12. Infections are one of the triggers for Celiac. Stress is always hard on the GI tract, even for people without Celiac Disease.
  13. Keep eating and gluten and get the celiac blood panel.
  14. I have never actually found any with gluten, you should be able to read ingredients. It's usually just coffee and artificial flavors. Cameron's is a brand here in Kansas that says they are gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link I am am talking about coffee beans or ground coffee - not instant coffee. for instant, just read the ingredients...
  15. You might want to just eat what makes you feel good. There is no real scientific evidence that a " muscle test" tells you what foods to eat. Open Original Shared Link Anytime you drastically alter your diet, it can take a while for your body to figure it all out.
  16. Maybe you are eating foods you didn't eat as much of before?
  17. I am curious - which past members do you keep in contact with? Maybe we have some of the same friends. I keep up with about 30 on Facebook. I know some of them really like rice or corn Chex, some don't eat any cereal, and one just likes fruity kids stuff. Lol
  18. I think " numerous Celiac. Com members" enjoy and do well with Chex cereals.
  19. I know many many Celiacs that eat Chex with no issues. I love them. Perhaps you have a problem with corn?
  20. If you would pm Admin, with both user names, I think he can put them together. Tell him which name you prefer. Or you can pm me and I will ask him and explain it.
  21. Actually, it applies to the US, too. "Spices" legally must be spices and not grains or other things.
  22. I have had that, too on my PC using Chrome
  23. No matter what the cause, excessive diarrhea can cause dehydration and nutrition issues.
  24. Before you self diagnoses yourself with an autoimmune disease, please see a doctor for some blood work. Celiac usually doesn't just "pop-up" one day after a bagel. Keep eating a regular gluten diet until all testing is finished
  25. I had a problem with it for a couple of months. It is hard to digest and seemed to be"scratchy" to my system. Not very scientific, just how it seemed to me. Read the Newbie thread. You may want to cut out dairy for a few weeks or months
