  1. I assure you, it is gluten free, otherwise I'd be dead by now. Cheers!
  2. I'd call it : Happy NEW life!! hugs, IH ( P.S. I am not a doctor, but you sure sound like NCGS to me. Anyone who cannot tolerate a gluten challenge is deemed that in an article written by Dr. Fasano) BTW, did you have classic allergy testing--skin prick tests? maybe that would clarify it? Has your brother read this?? Open Original Shared...
  3. SINCE I POSTED EARLIER IN THIS THREAD ABOUT AN UPCOMING WEDDING, I THOUGHT I SHOULD UPDATE YOU ALL. Had a fabulous time at my cousin's daughter's wedding. Legs still work after dancing my face off for hours. whoohoo! My cousin made sure we GeeFReers had apps (shrimp cocktail, crudities, cheese platter) but I just had a cocktail (i had Crunchmaster...
  4. uh huh....and she who owns all the hershey bars rules the roost, baby Cut and pasted to the wedding thread--hope newbs and vets alike can see anything is possible. As the elderly G F lady I shared a cookie with said to me,,,,this ain't the old days. They know what to do for "us" now. (well, they do if you ask enough questions....) I avoided a collision...
  5. There are many threads on this topic on the site and the majority of us have researched the products, talked with dentists and hygenists (mine looked them all up for me before I even asked) and we find it is not an issue. Personally, I ask for plain pumice just because I am not a big fan of mint -flavored anything in dental cleaning products. Just me...
  6. .......If you do not like fireworks, why, yer just a crazy person!! Fireworks are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Hellooooooo dinner peeps! Had a fabulous time at the wedding. Legs still work after dancing my face off for hours. whoohoo! hmm...maybe I should post this in the thread about "paranoid to go to a wedding"--maybe later--- but I my cousin made sure...
  7. "Dr. Clark" is a chiropractor posing a theory, hon...not a celiac expert. So, no, sorry---- I do not give him much credence. I'm a retired English Professor myself We like to provide links to reputable sites on c.com so newbies can find reliable and solid information. Sorry you are not finding the friendly support here that so many people do...
  8. I thought earlier today when I read this but could not respond until now....just drink water????!
  9. Agree. I just prefer a soft chewy crust and I can get that if I make my own. I was disappointed with this crust because all my toppings were superb....but they fell through the crust. Oh well.... I will try anything once!
  10. Horrid..... just Horrid. Tastes terrible, broke apart on my oven rack (&# *^$&^%!) and spilled cheese everywhere, so thanks a lot, you wankers! Total waste of money. I only used these shelf-stable crusts because someone gave them to me to review. (and sorry you spent the $$, sweet friend) Okay, so I am reviewing: Honestly....do not...
  11. there is enough cheek to pinch...facial or gluteal LOL I am sure I sent you the HH info, because anytime someone I care about has chronic pain and inflammation, I "go there" in my head (as does My Ski Lisa) but if not, you're getting it (again, probably) via email. Dinner tonight: Rustic pizza while I pack a "to go" bag of clothes and food...
  12. I had acid reflux so bad for over 12 years. My entire GI tract burned from mouth to rectum. Not kidding. I would "spill acid" back up into my throat which felt closed and burning like mad. I did not want to eat at one point and even water hurt. No meds helped. I can report to you that it is GONE!!!! but it took awhile (maybe 10 months? and I had...
  13. I hate to state the obvious solution, but what the heck.....how about you PUT a post- it on your bathroom mirror saying: "DUDE...Take your Vit D!!"
  14. if it matters, that's what I would do. (walnuts and vinegar are HH, and I knew that when I suggested things to you.... but if you did a tiny bit, you should be ok!).
  15. I'd chunk it over field greens, sprinkle with candied nuts and maybe some vinaigrette. Eat it with pears. I'd also make a mini "cheesecake" muffin with it (sub gluten-free flour, obviously). http://foodandspice.blogspot.com/2009/07/blueberry-goat-cheese-muffins.html I'd eat it by the tablespoon or on a cracker or try this compote...
  16. Throwing a wobbly ...why that's just A fantastic expression, MW In New England, we call it "having a s$#& fit" or "throwing a nutty", "popping a cork or popping a gasket"...or just plain "I'm friggan pissed"..(not to be confused with pissed as in drunk, but pissed as in really super mad) ....although I did hear this new one today on Gdude...she...

  21. Now, this is a perfect example of the beauty of the English language, (but first...a hug for your boo-boo and your ensuing "strop") Darling girl, please tell the dinner peeps what "getting over your strop" means. (I know, but they may not) It's a fabulous word!! Hopefully, you have dodged the bullet. And for the love of mike, have them eat...
  22. Hi Megzydee, I appreciate your kind words and yes, I am still healing, but I have come so far and I am grateful for every day. I am not at all the sick and dying woman I was. I was able to return to the gym after 2.5 years of rehabbing my wasting painful muscles and it feels good to be able to do "normal things" once more! I am sorry that you, too...
  23. Sorry, hon.. I do know how hard it is to watch someone you love ignore what we see so plainly. But ....take care of you and be an example of what good health looks like.
  24. me too. I keep links to celiac centers and Pub Med articles, wesbites like Shelly Case, etc. bookmarked or articles and posts saved in my "drafts" on my email server or in word ....and do a lot of "cutting and pasting" instead of typing things over and over and over. That got tiring.
