  1. Oh wow. It could be anything in that meal that could have caused it. Not nessisarially gluten either.
  2. regular rice crispies are not gluten free. I believe it has barley malt in them. Everyone is different, including their reactions.
  3. I have no idea honestly. I do know, however, once gluten is removed it stops a "blanket" effect covering other potential issues. It could be that since your body is so out of sorts with the recent change and recovering that it is far more sensitive to certain things.
  4. I wouldn't think that was the cause. Allergies can come on with no rhyme or reason for it. I have one to tomatoes that came out of no where. I would look into why your immune system is acting up so much.
  5. Sorry, but the only way i can think of is by doing the gluten challenge. There is a genetic test, but it by itself is not a diagnosis tool (it can help, but cannot stand alone) because about 30% of the population has the genetics for it.
  6. Yep, its the week before finals. I'm making mac and cheese to go with my cake. Some sort of veggie with it as well.
  7. Chex, as i have heard, get some of the added vitamins from soy.
  8. For roses, i've heard that horse droppings are good for them.
  9. Ah! you are probably part of the "silent" celiac group, aka those who do not have symptoms that are obvious. We are all different. I dropped 40ish pounds in a little over a month (was really ill with GI issues). Some gain it. I can see why your body would freak out. When in starvation type situation, the body tends to hoard calories (fats from food...
  10. I have heard chex are made in one, but i do not know if that is the case.
  11. Hmmm... That really screams a nerve issue then. I have had a tooth that had to be surgically brought up (cutting into gum to expose, after healing a bracket for the braces is put on to 'pull' it up). For the longest time and every once in a while, it was very sensitive. Nothing like a tooth throbbing for no reason. This was probably due to the braces...
  12. I find if i don't wear my retainer often that my teeth will ache. The teeth are trying to move, in my case. Could it be something similar to yours? From my years of braces and related items, whenever i had something put in it would take a good week before the ache and pain from them to go away.
  13. Oh wow, that came out good. I subbed 1/2 a cup of olive oil for the stick of butter required. While you can kinda taste the oil, its a heck of a lot lighter than the butter version. I only added butter to the crumble on top.
  14. Just took the cake out of the oven. It raised a lot more than previous ones did. I'm impressed. The cooking time was longer though (1 hr 15 min). I bet it would cook to the time that the box says if i lived at sea level.
  15. Well i just put the cake in the oven. I subbed oil for butter and it appeared to be a bit more thinner. However, in the past it has always been a bit more dryer when it was like that, so maybe this fixes that issue.
  16. That also works to help resolve acid reflux or so i've heard.
  17. 1. There are things that are, as a rule, naturally gluten free, such as cheese (unless its beer cheese). Learn what companies have labeling policy (such as kraft) when it comes to wheat. 2. Generally, there is no gluten in natural flavors. however I've heard that there might be some cases where it is in it. Food coloring wouldn't have it. 3. Honestly...
  18. Oh i wish i could have some of the stuff you guys are making. Too busy to cook at the moment. I've got... 3-6 papers to do (ranging from 2 -21 pages), going over homework i thought i was fully completed, studying for three finals, and doing one take home final. This stupid cold really set me back. I had planned on doing most of the papers this past...
  19. As stated already, allergies tend to pop up out of nowhere.
  20. I second the allergic reaction idea. Is there anything you only use at night?
  21. I've still got some in the freezer i need to eat. I've yet to reintroduce it. I picked up some broccoli at the store, i'm thinking of subbing that into it.
  22. I hope so. It was one of my favorite meals when i was younger.
  23. That first one looks lovely. I might do that one this weekend It also looks like i can play with it a bit as well (subbing for this or that). Thanks!
  24. I'm getting better i think. My head doesn't hurt as bad this morning. My nose, while still stuffed, is doing better. My throat is still sort of sore and sort of itchy (healing perhaps?), especially after i eat or drink something. I still run a low grade fever (99.3 or so).
