  1. My mother was diagnosed as a baby and of course back then they routinely told the moms that their babies would "outgrow it" And to let them start eating gluten in a few years. Long story short, by the time she was in her 30s and "rediagnosed" her liver enzymes were so out of whack the docs insisted on taking a liver biopsy (very scary long needle) before...
  2. What brand? Regina and GV(WalMart) will state gluten-free on the label. Could it be something else glutened you? Or food poisoning, was the chicken cooked throughly? Did you use a soy sauce? What thickener did you use? Or a commercial brand sweet n' sour? Can I think of any more annoying questions to ask?
  3. It used to be gluten-free. My mother used to make onion dip and roast gravy with it. It was delisted awhile back tho, I don't remember why exactly. I've been looking for gluten-free canned onion soup, no luck. Swanson's organic beef broth is as close as I've gotten.
  4. You can also make them with Perky's Nutty Rice. (A cross between rice crispies and grapenuts)
  5. Open Original Shared Link is a good site to help decrypt those alphabet-soup-tests.
  6. It was my first ever user name ( 8 other LKellys before me) and I've used it ever since.
  7. Yes, it's on the new Delphi list - Aquafresh (Open Original Shared Link) (vw=2/24/06) “Aquafresh® toothpaste does not contain gluten.”
  8. This is what they say about their "secret recipe"; "What ingredients make up the "natural flavoring" in Bush's Baked Bean products? Although the exact make-up of our "secret family recipe" is proprietary, the "natural flavoring" does not contain any known allergens. For further questions, contact us or write to: Bush Brothers & Company Consumer...
  9. I know Dubble Bubble is gluten-free. Here's the Wrigley's Listing from the new Delphi List: "Wrigley (vw=4/25/06) (Open Original Shared Link ucts_faqs.asp#q6) Wrigley's Spearmint gum, Freedent gum, Doublemint gum, Extra gum, Big Red gum, Eclipse gum, Juicy Fruit gum, Eclipse Flash breath strips, Winterfresh gum, Orbit gum, Winterfresh...
  10. Here's McD's Open Original Shared Link on gluten-free menu items. This list is as of 3/06 - and it still lists the plain beef patty. Nantzie? Is it wrong?
  11. {Homer Simpson Voice} "Mmmm . . . misspelled beer." Have you seen the Open Original Shared Link article?
  12. From the new Delphi list - I was horrified. I loved Colgate Total and Softsoap! "Colgate (ve=04/18/06) We do not intentionally add gluten to the following Colgate Palmolive products. However, we cannot guarantee that the ingredients used are not exposed to any glutens. Afta Shave products, all variants Cashmere Bouquet Bar Soap Colgate...
  13. I didn't read the original thread so I'm not getting the full picture but from these quotes - lines you yourself culled - I gotta tell ya, this is seriously offensive stuff . It looks like you were snidely suggesting that her opinions were invalid because she had a mental illness. Now I know you wouldn't deliberately try to stigmatize someone just to win...
  14. I don't think Kroger's maintains a gluten-free list for their in-house brand products. You can call their customer service line. (1 800 632 6900) I know Ricola won't say if their products are gluten-free or not.
  15. Last I heard Vlasic, Claussen and Mt. Olive are all gluten-free - except Mt. Olive's hot dog relish, sweet India relish and sugar free gherkins. Colgate will not guarantee gluten-free. I emailed Rembrandts but since their website isn't even up an running yet I have no idea if/when they'll respond. Do you still have the box the toothpaste came in...
  16. What's the name of the company? They may have a website, you could email them - if going back to the pharmacy is a long haul it might be quicker. Open Original Shared Link
  17. No, corn intolerance doesn't cause the same kind of malabsorption as celiac.
  18. I found their Open Original Shared Link. Now that I've been thinking about it I'm almost sure I've seen Hoffner products in my local health food store. I'll have to stop in later today and check . . . see! The slogan's working already!
  19. A modified trifle? Baked apples, tho it's hardly the season yet. I have recipes for a Peach and Rasberry crumble (g,e,d - free) and a Baked Fruit Compote (g,e,d - free).
  20. Ooo. Sounds yummy. What store did you find them in? . . . and btw, Hoffner's should pay you for their new slogan! "Hoffner's Pita Flats, Suprisingly Tasty!"
  21. I'm a bipolar celiac and I take lithium - 300mg 3xdaily, a generic from Roxane Labs. Teva is a good gluten-free generic. I know the brand name Eskalith CR is gluten-free. The generic form probably is too. I loved Eskalith CR but my insurance won't pay for the brand name, even tho I'm allergic (hives) to the generic. In my personal experience there's less...
  22. I'd call the doctor right away. That does not sound like the normal post endo stomach-achiness. Maybe he's just taking longer to recover than most. Maybe his subconcious really doesn't want to have to deal with celiac disease ! In any case I'd call the doctor's office and see what they think the problem is.
  23. Is your "mailbox" filled up at the server? That is, your email account only gets so much space. If your server isn't automaticly deleting your mail (at the server), it may be reading "full" and bouncing new emails. Check with Hotmails email help section. I had to deal with this years ago on Prodigy. (Yes, I'm old.)
  24. I've been nosing around online and haven't found any . I have found small to medium size shells, would those work?
