  1. OMG I just saw this.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTI!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!! You deserve all the birthday wishes in the world! xoxox
  2. Hi all, I wanted to let everyone know that Annalise Roberts has a recipe on her website for black & white cookies. Yum!! Every recipe I have tried from her is amazing, and I'm sure this one won't disappoint. Open Original Shared Link
  3. Check out this thread. I haven't tried it yet but it seems there are some great recipes to recreate the samoas for us. Open Original Shared Link
  4. Oh trust me I'm not trying to lose weight anywhere else but there, and maybe the tiniest bit on my tummy. And don't worry, I don't seem to be giving up the Ben & Jerry's; there are currenly 2 pints of Chunky Monkey and 2 pints of Pistachio in my freezer. LOL!! Hey they were on sale! Where is your office? There is a reformer pilates studio right across...
  5. I haven't gone yet. Let's go when you get back from Florida!!!
  6. Hey Stef - My parents will be in West Palm next weekend too. LOL!! Chris's grandma actually lives in Jupiter and last time we went to visit her we ate at Bare Bones. They don't have a gluten free menu but they were pretty helpful and the food is yummy. I know there is also an Outback and Carraba's around there. I didn't eat there, but I heard...
  7. I haven't tried the honey nut one yet, but I tried the apple cinnamon one last week and thought it was pretty good. It's expensive so I wouldn't buy it on a regular basis, but I would get it again when the mood strikes.
  8. I actually go to a Japanese restaurant near my house that like Benihana is a hibachi place and they are extremely helpful and accomodating. Whenever I go, I bring my San-J wheat free soy sauce and they make whatever I order in a clean pan in the back. I use my Triumph dining card just to make sure everything is covered. I can't have the soup, but they will...
  9. Well I work in NYC, and walk to and from work everyday from Grand Central. It's only a few avenues - but it's something. And actually I'm a really fast walking. I think I'm a pretty nice person (ummm, despite my quote at the bottom of my signature), but I am definately that NY'er who is ready to mow anyone down infront of me who is walking at a painfully...
  10. I got into it last season because of Chris Daughtry (I like the rock n' roll), and so far it's not bad this season. I'm not sure if I have any favorites yet, but I like the be-bop guy. Some of the woman are amazing too.
  11. I'm supposed to be doing Pilates anyway for my osteopenia (yup I'm 29 and I'm officially a senior citizen - LOL!) so this sounds like a good idea. LOL!!! LOL!! Ok I should mention I don't have that much to give. In fact if any of you actually saw me, I might be committed to some sort of program. I literally have maybe, 10 lbs...
  12. I wanted to let everyone know that I just found out about another Chinese restaurant that has a gluten free menu. It is called Gourmetland and they are in NYC. The gluten-free menu is small but heard that they can accomodate almost anything on their menu to be gluten free. Sure enough I decided to call and see because the Ginger Spareribs had be drooling...
  13. Does anyone know what the best excercise is to trim some extra weight I've been gaining on my outer thighs, kinda by the side of my lower butt. I started using a treadmill but figured maybe people can suggest better excercise to target that area.
  14. I can't completely relate because all my tests where positive and I had total villous atrophy, so no one really questioned my diagnosis; but I would simply tell this "friend" that maybe she should try drinking Drano, and see how she feels. Then when she doesn't feel so well drinking the Drano tell her that you think it's absurb that she not continue drinking...
  15. Hi Sarah. Pleasure to meet you. Please stick around.
  16. Hi John. Welcome!!
  17. It is definately a lifestyle that takes some getting used to - but don't cave!! It's not worth making a few friends happy. All of my friends are supportive, but I know that secretly some of them think I'm being to narotic or think maybe I'm exaggerating just how careful I have to be. Honestly the best way I find to deal with it is to just not care what they...
  18. I put this on my calendar as soon as I heard about it. I can't wait!!!!!
  19. LOL - I know!!! I think this may need to be added to the "you know you're a celiac if" list.
  20. Amanda, I will absolutely be thinking of your sister. Please keep us all posted on her recovery. xoxo
  21. I didn't end up trying it. I'm actually now thinking of trying the one by Authentic Foods. But Bob's RM seems to be getting a lot of thumbs up... hmmmmm. Is anyone finding it as funny (and kinda pathetic) as me that I've now spent a week and a half debating about pancake mix?!!
  22. I 2nd the Bell & Evans Chicken Nuggets (or Tenders). Although I have to say, that recipe AndreaB gave sounds yummy!
  23. We really want to get a dog and were debating between a Wheaton Terrier or a Tibetan Terrier. We read that Wheaton Terrier's are prone to celiac. LOL!! Oh the irony (Not for that reason) but I think we're gonna go with the Tibetan.
  24. The items I generally buy at Whole Foods (that I can't find at Stop n' Shop) are: - San J Wheat Free Soy Sauce - Blue Diamond Nut thin crackers - WF gluten-free Bakehoue Banana Bread - (not every shopping trip, just if I'm in the mood) - WF gluten-free Bakehouse Carrot Cake - (not every shopping trip, just if I'm in the mood) - WF gluten-free Bakehoue...
  25. I actually just tried the apple cinnamon ones for the 1st time yesterday. I really liked them. I would definately reccomend it.
