  1. Yes and no... It can show you food that gives you issues, but it won't show an indication for/against celiac disease. I tested positive for celiac, and I don't test positive for wheat allergy. The blood test for allergies is also not always conclusive because you have to be eating what they are testing for for antibodies to show up. Its a good place to start...

  5. Exactly. I eat gluten-free oats and don't react at all, but mainstream oats and oat products send me running to the bathroom, and I react to the slightest bit of CC. If you're willing to deal with CC, thats fine, but for those who want to be 100% gluten-free, I don't think this cereal falls into that category.

  10. Oats grown in the US are subject to massive amounts of cross-contamination. They are grown in crop-rotation fields with gluten grains, shipped on the same trucks, milled in the same mills. Not to mention the shared lines issue. Honeycomb is not considered gluten free. I don't eat any oats that aren't certified gluten free.

  14. My headaches have completely gone away being gluten-free. That being said, a co-worker was having a constant headache that would not go away. Had the headache for almost a year, has MRI's, every test they could think of, etc. Turned out to be his thyroid. Might be worth checking out.

  17. According to my GI and various other doctors, if you have GI problems, use of Splenda is not recommended, as it can cause stomach pain and other issues. I know that Splenda gives me terrible stomach cramps myself, and one of the first things he told me before I even got diagnosed with Celiac was "No Splenda!".   20. They appear to be gluten-free, but I have a marked distrust for anything with "crispy" in the label, even with rice puffs, cause of the malt. The blue M&M's appear gluten-free on the label as well, but there is sneaky malt in there. I have trouble believing these are gluten-free. Despite reassurances from Mars, I will not be eating them.

  23. I describe it as "gluten makes me dumb". I'm normally a sharp, smart person. On gluten, I've got the IQ and attention span of a puppy. One of the most frustrating parts of the disease for me, in all honesty.

I would also do early dates with something that doesn't involve food, or if does involve food, pick something easy, like sushi or PF Changs or another restaurant with a gluten-free menu.
