  1. Yep, that is the only food I can eat at university.
  2. It really depends on the brand of soy too. The best one in my opinion is Silk.
  3. Plus, cows have some great critters (I think bacteria, I forget my invert. zoology) that help them digest. They can't digest much of anything without their symbiotic friends inside. They kept a newborn calf in a pristine room so that it couldn't eat dirt and therefore it didn't get the necessary bacteria for its stomachs. Lets just say the calf had a very...
  4. I drink wines from every continent. I don't think you need to worry in my opinion.
  5. That's good to know, I live in Edmonton and have been wondering if it would be safe or not.
  6. On another forum many people have discussed their bowel incontinence. They use adult diapers and a medication called "nullo" which removes the smell of feces. Depending on the severity, maybe Immodium.
  7. Not everyone with celiac has symptoms. But they still get the damage.
  8. That's great. Once in awhile a Jager is good for your spirits!
  9. I'm tempted to buy a deep fryer just to make those. Those sound great.
  10. Kraft will list any allergen ingredients. If you are in Canada, Parmalat will not confirm that any of their products are gluten-free. Dairyland has many gluten-free products.
  11. Are St Ives products not safe?
  12. I'm new at the tequila thing. Someone who had been to Mexico told me that was a good one. I'm going to print your list for future tasting. Thanks for the info. Beer was so much easier.
  13. There may be fewer of us, but we are here to help.
  14. I know Yoplait is. Sorry I can't help with Breyer's.
  15. I'm going to the dentist in a couple of weeks, the first time since being gluten-free. Let me know what you find out Judy.
  16. This is tough because I loved beer and now I have been trying to find safe enjoyable drinks. Wine and gluten-free beer of course. Vodka tonic and straight Jose Cuervo Gold tequila so far.
  17. I use Fleischmanns lactose free and salt free margarine everyday. This is a ConAgra product and they will label common allergens such as wheat.
  18. Mrs Mays website says gluten free and wheat free and dairy free.
  19. I'm in Edmonton. You are right Calgary doesn't have any Save-On Foods. Man, I am going to have to think twice about moving back down south. I rely on Save-On for so many of my gluten-free foods. But you guys have CO-OP which we don't have up here. Okay, I just tried a couple of bites and it is disgusting. Tastes are personal, but that was gross....
  20. EnerG makes a pretty normal tasting cracker. They are quite good.
  21. Sorry, I was just making sure for my own selfish reasons. I bought it at Save-On Foods. I've been wary because it contains maltodextrin, which I'm not sure if I react to or not. It's the weekend, if I am brave I will try it.
  22. And if you are in Canada, La Messagere is gluten-free.
  23. I could be wrong, but didn't you post that Tofutti brand soy cheese was casein and gluten free? I was just wondering because I bought some today.
  24. I think they are just trying to explain the difference to the general and sometimes uninformed public. And the fact is a true allergy can cause an anaphalaxis reaction (potentially life threatening) whereas an intolerance won't.
  25. I know how you feel about changing from beer to hard liquor. It really is different. It doesn't have the same effect. I'm with you all the way when it comes to Pinot Noirs. I didn't know I could have a Mojito.
