  1. It takes mine over one hour to rise. I don't know if this helps or not.
  2. I've been to Ecuador, but I wasn't gluten-free back then. There is always lots of fresh fruit. Okay, I just completely lost my train of thought. I'll get back and post later. I think I need to have a snack. LOL
  3. I put each one in the microwave for a short time before I fill it. Then I bake all six of them. Yummy.
  4. I do field work and I sure depend on my LARA bars. I haven't had any problems. But, in the early stages of being gluten-free, I think I had some problems with digesting dates. Anyway, I hope it was the chips you ate and not the LARA bars.
  5. Rusla, those sound delicious. Where do you buy your masa harina flour?
  6. You are so lucky. I still can't eat my trigger food without getting a migraine even since being gluten-free. I still have hope that one day I'll be able to eat it again. LOL
  7. There's been a lot of discussions on here regarding Amy's gluten-free status, which is why I haven't tried them yet. I had a giant black hair in my Healthy Choice product years ago and I was so grossed out I haven't tried them again. I don't eat hot dogs, so I can't help you there. I'm unsure if I reacted to Old Dutch since the last time I tried...
  8. I agree with everything Pauliina said.
  9. Please don't let him eat onions as they are not good for cats and dogs. You could try sardines. That's how I got my sick guy eating again. Then I managed to find some canned food that he liked for a little while.
  10. Because I am Canadian and there is only one Canadian team left, I must support Ottawa. I guess that makes me a patriot! LOL
  11. I have my doubts, but does anyone know if there's anywhere I can eat in Peace River? It has to be super safe because I'll be in the field every day for a week, i.e. no toilets just bush and male co-worker whom I've just met.
  12. The one and only gluten-free beer in Canada has the expiry date on every bottle. It is usually only good for one month after I buy my six pack. However it is brewed on the other side of the country, so maybe it lasts a little longer.
  13. Could you have other food intolerances? I just figured out (I think) that I really cannot eat tapioca. I was losing weight and feeling awful for the past two months, so I stopped eating it this week. I hope you can figure out what is causing your problem.
  14. Oh, sorry for misunderstanding. That is very strange and I am glad I've never had one of those.
  15. I love the support that we can get and share here in regards to our furry loved ones.
  16. This won't be much help, but some Sobey's are more informed than others. The one closest to my place is useless for gluten-free info. or products, but the one further up the road is much more modern and informed.
  17. I used to get mouth ulcers before I was gluten-free. But, I haven't had any since. Did you consume some gluten accidentally?
  18. I could be wrong, but I thought only some of the Lactaid pills were gluten-free. Also, if he is casein intolerant, Lactaid won't work. Lactaid is only for people with lactose intolerance. So, if he can eat cheese without any reaction, he is most likely lactose intolerant. But, if he has a reaction to cheese than he may be casein intolerant.
  19. That sounds like a great recipe. I usually coat my hands in olive oil to smooth out the dough. I've never tried the butter method. LOL. Yummy.
  20. Swiss cheese (Primo Taglio brand from Safeway)
  21. Okay, I finally have got around to trying my Mooncup (the silicone version of the Keeper). I had to cut the stem a couple of times and I think it's the right length now. But, I am so raw from taking the thing out a few times and having the stem irritate me that I've gone back to tampons for the rest of my cycle. I have no problem putting it in, but man...
  22. This is from Sun Rype's website, "My family is allergic to nuts, gluten and dairy products. Do Sun-Rype products contain any of these? Sun-Rype products do not contain any Nut, Gluten, or Dairy products and they are manufactured in a facility that does not process any products containing these allergens. If you have food sensitivities, we always recommend...
  23. Okay, I have just been through hell and back with my sick cat, who is still recovering very slowly. I know exactly how you must be feeling right now. I know it's hard, but try to think as positive as you can. You never know what will come from your vet appointment on Monday. He'll be okay. Give your kitty lots of love right now. I'll be thinking of...
