  1. Hi Ender...I don't know if you get this in time, but push for the Vitamin D and full thyroid testing. Ask for thyroid meds....with a free T4 below range you need it. The only other thing I can think of is lupus.. I have a cousin who has it and I know that there can be a lot of pain involved. But I'm not sure about anything else. Do stress to your doctor...
  2. Hi Ender, Although you didn't get a complete thyroid panel, from what I see you are hypothyroid. Most Dr's only care about TSH and yes yours is in the range, but when mine is that high I get terrible joint aches. I feel best with mine around 1. Your free T4 isn't just a tad low...most people feel best with it around 50% of the range. I think you...
  3. Hi Fargo, I would definitely get Vitamin D and thyroid checked as both can cause this issue. I've experienced a lot of joint pain when my thyroid was out of whack. Make sure you get a full thyroid panel, many Dr's will only order TSH which isn't going to tell the whole picture of your thyroid. This would include Free T3, Free T4, TPOAb, and TgAb...
  4. Tonight I'm making chicken parmesan, garlic bead and green beans...yum.
  5. Carrageenan bothers me a lot. It is very often added to almond milk, coconut milk, etc. So it could be that. I drink mine with half and half and do fine. Others add coconut cream. Both might be worth trying.
  6. Another piece of Le Creuset cookware...love it! And cookbooks, always cookbooks...so much fun to have a lot of them.
  7. Hi...it's hard at first for sure. The one thing I wish I'd listened to was to eat only whole foods for the first 6 months. I didn't do the at first. I felt awful and was convinced that I was reacting to everything. After a bit of that I went to all whole foods for quite a while and started feeling better. Your system needs time to heal. I also use...
  8. Hi Cristiana, I'm sorry to hear about your flooding and low ferritin... ((((hugs)))). Thyroid trouble can cause long, heavy periods and flooding. So can perimenopause. I've had my share of the long, heavy periods. This last period was ok, but the 2 prior the flooding was terrible. I did have 2 ultrasounds done last year because of all of the...
  9. I'm so sorry... (((hugs))) With only 2 ingredients in the dark chocolate chips I thought for sure it would be ok. It sounds like the corn thing is really tricky.
  10. Enjoy whatever you get...chocolate is very important!!
  11. Totally Enjoy Life! Their chocolate chips are the best and are soy free as well! Yum!
  12. You are super lucky to have a good doctor who's on top of things! Please do let us know when you get results!
  13. Initially I felt much better too, but then felt much worse. It was very discouraging! I cut out dairy, soy and corn completely for a while and that helped some. One thing that I found was really causing trouble for me was carrageenan...an additive in things like ice cream and almond milk. Once I cut out everything with carrageenan I felt a lot better...
  14. I don't eat a lot of cereal, but when I do Rice Chex is good and I've had no issues with it.
  15. Hey Jays...would you share where you ate safely in Denver and Boulder? I don't live too far from there and if we go I'd love to have a safe place to eat. Thanks!
  16. I also enjoy your updates...thanks for continuing to share. I had high Vitamin B12 at one point as well...no clue why. The Dr wasn't concerned but I thought it was odd. I had it redrawn with my physical this year and it's now normal. No idea why...Haven't changed anything in the past year. So I've got nothing for you there...just know it's not just...
  17. (((((Hugs)))) That sounds awful. I'm really sorry that happened to you. Last summer a big gluten eater stayed at our house and glutened me. She just doesn't get it. As she's eating a quesadilla from Chipotle she asks if I want some. Ummm...no I can't eat that. It has gluten. Well you can have the filling. Umm no, it's sitting on the gluten? Urgh...
  18. Wow! Cool! So excited for you Bartie!
  19. That's really good news Nicole!
  20. Thank you so much twinnie! I was very excited...thanks for all of your help too.
  21. I hope you feel all better soon and that none of your boys get sick. ((((Hugs))))
  22. Thank you all so much for sharing in my excitement! Thank you also for all your support along the way...I sure needed it. (((Hugs)))
  23. I just wanted to share that I saw my GI today and got the results of my blood work from 2 weeks ago. All of my antibodies were in the normal range! Yeah...go me! My D was up to 45 which is awesome for me as I was deficient at diagnosis and my ferritin is better as well. I've been gluten free for just over a year and a half. Thanks for letting me share...
  24. Aww...I was really hope thyroid for you because the medication would help. I'm bummed for you but as usual I'm so impressed by your attitude! You're awesome! Have you tried the gin soaked raisins yet by any chance?
