  1. It's at least 1/2 a cup. That's what they say in the directions. Maybe my directions are different since they're for a toddler...
  2. Fruit Kabobs for the kids, fresh fruit wedges with a yogurt dip for the adults Mini Pizzas for the kids (Bette Hagman's Easy Pizza Recipe), and garlic breadsticks w/ alfredo dipping sauce for adults (also Easy Pizza Recipe) Schar crackers w/ cheese spread for kids, schar crackers w/ garlic cream cheese spread for adults (rice crackers also work well...
  3. I will definitely be going out there this afternoon. We've dubbed today as "Red Bridge Day". I never in a million years thought that I could be so excited over beer.
  4. Yeah, definitely a good deal on gluten free beer. I called A-B tonight and they confirmed that it is definitely gluten free. Yea!!! I'll post tomorrow when they get it in. Hopefully we can get Outback to carry this one since it's so much cheaper. I think they all get it from Kirchner's in Lancaster. Maybe I'll have to do some checking around on that.
  5. The distributor actually told my husband about the beer. We had never heard of it before. They've been expecting it in now for about a week and a half. Arrival was gauranteed for tomorrow though. I'm sure you can ask your local distributor to order some in... It's an Anhueser-Busch beer. Oh, and I called A-B today and they said it is definitely gluten free...
  6. I haven't eaten fast food since watching that documentary. It freaked me out.
  7. Heinz apple cider flavored vinegar is now on their gluten free list. I'm pretty sure the brand was Heinz... Whoever owns Ore-Ida.. I think it's Heinz. It used to be on their no-no list, but now it's considered gluten free. I am in the US, I don't know if the same is true for Canada.
  8. I'm 100% gluten free, I rarely even eat out. I still feel like something's not right though. I can't say that I'm sick, but I can't say that I feel great either. I mean, I feel pretty good most of the time, but I just feel like something is off, askew... I haven't changed anything other than going gluten free. All of my other symptoms (if you want to call...
  9. My distributor just called me and let me know that the new Red Bridge sorghum beer will be delivered tomorrow and the price will be $29.99 for a case. For reference, normal beer around here is about $20 a case, Mike's Hard Lemonade is about $27 a case. Bard's Tale sells for about $43 a case. Woo-Hoo!!! This time they were sure they would be getting it in...
  10. Wow, I get that... I just thought that was normal. I thought everyone was like that. I find it very hard to sleep because of that, even when I'm dead tired. Hmmm... BTW, I was editing my post above while you posted... Let me know what you think, could my doctor be wrong?
  11. What exactly are you guys talking about? What's brain chatter? Carla and Lymetoo... For the sake of argument, here's my story. I could use a little insight. I was tested a few years ago for Lyme Disease and they showed me that a 4 or higher is a positive test and anything below that was negative. I tested a 2. They said this meant I had been exposed, but...
  12. OMG, Richard! That avatar is so funny! I saw them in a few catalogs like the Lighter Side... I wish my husband loved that movie as much as I do, I'd buy him the lamp.
  13. I generally use mini-loaves so that the bread cooks in the center, otherwise the crust gets too thick for my liking. Try doing more time with the foil on and less time without it. That may fix your problem.
  14. These are great... We like the szechwan one (however ya spell that...). Mrs. Leepers are decent, but they don't compare to the GFP ones, much cheaper though.
  15. Shopbydiet.com is having a sale on Tinkyada pastas... $2.69 a bag... Just thought I would share. Enjoy!
  16. I totally agree with Ursula about your girls...
  17. I second Patti with loving the rice flour blend!!! I always use Kinnikinnick flours because I feel as though they make a much nicer end product.
  18. I didn't think it was necessary at first. Now, I know that my slow recovery was due to gluten filled body lotion. I would definitely only use gluten free body products, ESPECIALLY face wash.
  19. I know exactly how you feel... My daughter is 100% gluten free with no diagnosis. She's actually had no testing whatsoever. I just feel as though it's more important for me to keep her gluten free than it is to have the convenience of gluten. Plus, I'm so sensitive that our house has to be gluten free anyway. Every time she ate gluten or played with Play...
  20. It definitely sounds like you have a problem with gluten. Since you've already been mostly gluten free it's likely that if you got tested it would turn up negative, whether you have Celiac Disease or not... You already know that gluten is a problem for you, stick with the diet. OR... You could try Enterolab testing. You don't need to be actively eating gluten...
  21. Welcome! So glad to hear that you're feeling better since going gluten free. If only there were a more accurate test that doctors would do for gluten sensitivity/Celiac Disease...
  22. If you miss pizza or breadsticks, try this recipe. It's my favorite... It's quick and easy, easy enough to even make for lunch. From Bette Hagman's The Gluten Free Gourmet Cooks Fast & Healthy... Easy Pizza recipe... Okay, now here are MY directions... They're much quicker and easier. 1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. ...
  23. "O Holy Night" is my favorite Christmas song. It's such a beautiful song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. My daughter's favorite is "Jingle Bell Rock".
  24. It takes everyone a different amount of time. For me it only took hours off of gluten for the GI problems to resolve themselves and only about a week until I felt great. However, it took over a year for me to feel "normal" again. Each person has a different story. There's no specified amount of time.
  25. For the first twenty five years of my life I was constantly fatigued, tired, and depressed. I slept as often as I could, sometimes 15 hours a day or more. All I ever wanted to do was sleep, it was horrible. Then, at 25 I began to get constipated along with the chronic fatigue. My joints ached and I was beginning to experience significant memory loss. Less...
