  1. When I was in Spain I wasn't gluten-free yet, but I don't think you'll have a problem. I think someone in Spain just created what's supposed to be really good gluten-free bread, and they're apparantly going to start serving it in restaurants soon. You might want to look into that. Other than that, I'd just make sure to bring a good dining card....
  2. I think they had to put the dog to sleep I remember McVet was somehow involved in all that
  3. I'm so glad I randomly popped in and read the spinach post   Rachel, I can't even imagine what you must have read while putting that together  I bet a search for "geese" would result in some equally funny sentences...but it's gonna be hard to top spinach
  4. Hum..well I don't feel that strongly about it one way or the other LOL, but I meant she has a nice presence when she performs. I do like the fact that she's quiet and humble when she's not singing...but can get out there and have such a powerful presence when she sings. Then again I think Phil is pretty freaky but a lot of people like him, so who knows...
  5. If your mix happens to be Arrowhead Mills the coconut oil will really seriously work well.
  6. I think it's the fact that she actually has stage presence. Most of them this year don't seem to have that quality.
  7. Coconut oil in chocolate chip cookies is REALLY GOOD!
  8. I can't believe it can go from 74 to snow in some places. That's just crazy. It's 71 here today. Hopefully it will stay that way for a while.
  9. I find this really interesting: Open Original Shared Link I'm not even going to say anything else about it. Everyone is free to draw their own conclusions. About China, I've been told from people who have been there that they only use organic farming methods and they eat whole foods, as opposed to the processed foods we eat here. When you consider...
  10. The best way to watch Idol these days is to record it and then fast forward through most of it LOL. All the guys (except maybe Blake) should go home.
  11. It's an excuse and it's reality (though the tone of my last post was really meant to be interpreted in more of a tongue and cheek sort of way. Sorry if it offended, though I understand your need to vent). It's just that a lot of us here are average Americans with equally busy lifestyles, and we find a way to make this work without really compromising all...
  12. Sorry but those are really sad excuses It's not like all of us here devote our entire lives to gluten-free cooking It's more a matter of changing your mindset, rather than changing your entire lifestyle (and even some men can figure it out ) Purchasing an Amy's gluten-free pizza is not exactly more difficult than buying a Godfather's pizza. You...
  13. Well said. I really truly am to the point where I can look at the most amazing cake (or cookie or whatever) and in my mind it does not even look like food. I might admire the aroma of it in the same way I'd enjoy a candle, but I really really won't want to eat it. You will get to the point where gluten cravings go away and you won't want that stuff anymore...
  14. I know where you're coming from because I don't have a celiac diagnoses either. The thing is, you really just have to make a firm decision one way or the other. You either eat gluten all the time and suffer or you don't eat gluten ever. Anything between those two options is really pointless. Just decide that you will never eat gluten again and once...
  15. I was wondering too. Come back Lister and let us know how you're doing...
  16. I eat them all the time with no problems. The flax and such might be difficult to digest for some people.
  17. Get a good sound dock LOL I don't know mine stopped holding a charge after less than a year. I think there was a law suit about the defective batteries and for a time they were replacing them for free. I don't think they are anymore though The screen on mine cracked after a few weeks of owning it and when I took it into the Apple store to get it fixed...
  18. Yeah it's a raw vegan thing. Pretty much just fruit, nuts and agave. I have no idea how they make it into a cheesecake-like substance, but they do...
  19. Open Original Shared Link I'm pretty useless at interpreting test results, so that's about all I can offer to this thread (but...it's also soy-free, gluten-free and pretty much free of everything else... ) It's actually available at a lot of health food stores.
  20. There will probably be lots of pig and fruit at the luau I doubt you would have much of a problem there. I'm not sure about restaurants though.
  21. Mood: Dreamer Fun: Conqueror Habits: New Wave Puritan Love: Love Bug I'm looking at this and realizing I picked water as my drink and tea as my treat. How boring am I? I think I need to go live it up and drink a soda or something I wonder if any of us picked the waffle as our treat. It looks pretty tasty but I honestly didn't...
  22. I was surprised that thread got deleted so quickly. More than anything, that seemed like an issue of a person assuming he had celiac disease, when something else really was the problem. Maybe he cured his candida and therefore gluten stopped bothering him? I dont' know, I think we could have learned something from that thread if the reaction had been ...
  23. I'm surprised Haley stayed over Sabrina....and I don't really get Phil's popularity. Something about him creeps me out a bit. Maybe I'm missing something...
  24. If you need a good restaurant in Carlsbad, everything at Cilantro Live is gluten-free. www.cilantrolive.com
  25. That's awesome!...and I totally agree!!!
