  1. Some good snacks I reccomend....Gluntio pretzels, Nut Thins. Wraps are a good idea. For the first hotel do they have a place where there is a common area with snack machines and microwaves, cause then you can take some Thai Kitchen noodle bowls. I am brainstorming right now trying to come up with some other ideas. I'll check back in soon.
  2. Hmm...I can do research if you give me cities too. Let me know if you pass by Doylestown and get pizza!!!
  3. I have days like that. Sometimes I forget that there may be days I get sick just like everyone else. Sometimes I notice that I feel sick if I have a lot of stress at work too.
  4. I only have an Outback around my home so I can give you my advice on them. I have never had a problem. I actually had a real good experience with Outback when I ordered a side (we were using the curbside service) the server actually called me back to tell me if wasnt gluten free and they wanted to make sure I didn't get sick and had a good meal. She helped...
  5. Welcome Welcome Welcome, I know I did not come off as very welcoming. Sometimes I tend to get defensive. This board is a life-saver for me. I hope it comes to be the same for you.
  6. Fruit Salad as mentioned above, I let mine soak in Cherry Juice, I do apples, pears, grapes, strawberries, blueberries and cherries. I dump the cherry juice over it and mix. gluten-free Brownies Chicken Scampi I am trying to find the recipe.
  7. Glad to hear you are feeling much better. Isn't it amazing what a change in food can do? Talk about a whole new light. I know personally I feel like a whole new person.
  8. Good Luck, glad you finally got an answer
  9. Well. For me personally, I know mine is fat I have always had a little roll on my stomach area but it has grown since being on the diet and finding some pasta I liked. I was always average weight but I weigh more now than I ever did. I don't eat chips or junky food, but I still have gained. Have you gained/lost any weight recently?
  10. I second the food diary notion, it really helped me before I was diagnosed and it continued to help while I got back on my feet and learned the in's and out's of the new diet. It is so much easier when you have something on paper too. CC is a big thing, not to scare you but you would be surprised on things you would never think of as being sources of glutenings...
  11. I eat the Thai kitchen mushroom bowl, no problems they are tasty
  12. Patti, you don't know how much you have been missed! Hope you are feeling better.
  13. Some of the Wegmans flavors are, and they list it on their container...I enjoy the Creme Brulee.
  14. There is one in Downingtown...I ususally catch the Scranton store when I am visiting family but if we stay here a lot of times we drive to Hunt Valley MD, which is right off I-83. If you ever want to take a drive let me know. I love going to that store.
  15. Wegmans is actually a grocery store in NY, PA, NJ, MD, and I believe in Virginia....they actually label gluten free on their store brand products. Which is nice since it is a little orange circle with a "G" in it. Since it is a store brand it is actually cheaper or on sale alot.
  16. I will have to ask John about the museum, he is pretty easy going. I drag him to every lighthouse when we go to the shore and he is not into that kind of stuff but he does it for me. We should all meet at Jules one weekend. Easton is by Allentown. Not sure if it is closer than Jules. I want to go back to Whole Foods one day and get those biscuits....yum...
  17. I generally buy Wegmans Pasta Sauces, all labeled gluten-free and I believe some are even lactose free and all are labed with the Allergen keys, they have quite a few different flavors and I believe all are gluten free. I really enjoy the Smooth Marinara and the Tomato and Basil....I just checked my closet and the Tomato and Basil and Roasted Garlic are both...
  18. Wegmans puts Gluten Free on their ice-cream....I know I gained weight after eating all the peanut butter chocolate-chip....but that doesnt stop me
  19. Angie-That is so funny, I map-quested it too...I am trying to find other places in that area I want to visit too, helps to convince John if I have lots of places to go.
  20. I googled it but didn't come up with much other then saying it is whole grain...General Mills site is not very helpful I am keeping my fingers crossed.
  21. Get well soon, it's not the same without you here! Very smart about bringing her own meals, she is so prepared.
  22. John and I are planning on meeting some friends down in Harrisburg to watch the Strawberry drop, the last few years one of us worked the holiday and it was 2nd shift so we never got out. So those are our plans, nothing too extravagent.
  23. As easy as it is to pick up fast food dinners, I steer clear of the Mcdonalds fries...I just don't trust them. I had found that when I quit eating all the greasy fast food I felt better and saved money.
  24. I don't think anyone is intentionally trying to force you to do things. The ten-thousands emails you have gotten like Ursa is uncalled for. As for everyone else who has been telling you about things, they just want you to be aware of things that could happen down the road. Yes those things like demtia and osteo may never affect you but wouldn't you like to...
  25. Hi Everyone I am hoping some of my celiacs who have either traveled to Italy or are living in Italy can help me with this. My sister, who is 19 and her fiance went to Italy to visit his entire family (mom,dad..sisters) anyway they are staying there till Mid-Jan. So she said she would pick me up some gluten-free goodies while over there. So she called today...
