  1. I have a brilliant idea! (but I need someone else to do the work ) Can we take all of these awesome recipes, get them organized, and just have our recipe section here on the site? The on-line gluten free cookbook compilation by us, for us!
  2. A vitamin B12 deficiency symptom is anxiety. It is very likely to be B12 deficient with Marsh 3 results. There is no toxic level of B12 for humans and sublingual supplements are available. Glad you have the diagnoses and can start healing on the gluten free diet. I suggest a safe snack bag be carried around for a while. (even if it's not the healthiest...
  3. I think her daughter was getting odd skin rashes. Her odd rashes may have been from fat malabsorption, hyperkeratosis folliculitis, or dermititus herpetiformis (DH). I still think newbies should keep a food journal. It can help track down cross contamination sources. (we had a bottle of vanilla that I kept from kitchen clean out that must have been...
  4. When all testing is done. You may find yourself "negative for Celiac". You have proven to yourself that you feel better not eating gluten. Current medical testing isn't proving why so many feel better not eating gluten. Listen to your body, you don't need a medical diagnoses to be gluten free. There were some reports out years ago about 30% of untreated...
  5. I have just developed a food intolerance to "skin extract" Just thinking about it I want to vomit.
  6. Thank you! I usually skip that area without even looking. Now I will check.
  7. Can you give more details about the pizza? Brand? Bakery or frozen section?
  8. As a parent of a child with Celiac and Eosinophilic Esophagitis, I would hope you can find a ped. gastro. to help her. There can be other issues going on, as she is showing symptoms. I hate to assume.* Adopted from China? No genetic family history? No detailed health care history? An endoscopy can be done to rule out or diagnose further issues, and...
  9. The ped gastro. doc will be suggesting an endoscopy with biopsy. (It is used as a "gold standard" for Celiac diagnoses. Unfortunately a lot of GI issues present with the same symptoms. You have noticed a connection to certain food "triggers" and that is very good and observant. Keep up the good work and keep a food journal. People with Celiac tend to...
  10. Looked up gluten free at Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers) and as usual the Windsor Star newspaper (Canada) ran the story from last summer about gluten free options! It is still advised to call ahead 313-471-2230 for dining options. (I would go to the web site first)
  11. You may be lacking in vitamin B 12. It is a "safe" supplement, as there is no evidence of a toxic level. (Your body will just "flush" out any extra amounts) You can have your levels checked by a blood test. (make sure you get a copy of the tests to show the range) Stay clam. Go to the doctor. Get your vitamin and mineral levels checked. Deficiencies...
  12. Part of on line safety is to NOT reveal too much information about yourself. Unless it is a specific call out to an area's information, just don't do it. (I did reveal my state. I do have a few friends residing here with me. You probably don't want to meet Smith and Wesson, or Remmi. )
  13. We had a really nasty hail storm on Saturday. My brother still doesn't have power back yet. Then we were hit with high winds and I lost power for a day. Today we have about 3 inches and off and on snow showers. (I think I have run out of cuss words at this point!)

    ARCHIVED Crps

Hey!!! My heart goes out to you Addy. ((cyber hugs)) From getting to know you through your posts, I believe you are bigger and stronger than CRPS. You know our forum peeps are here for you! If bad days come, we are here. On good days, we are here too. You do make me laugh often with your posts. I went to some site to double check my info...
  15. I've been here long enough to tell you these symptoms should not be ignored. They can be related to Celiac, and that should be enough for the referral to a ped. GI. A quick glance about my daughter's case.... infant/toddler age bracket Celiac symptoms, blown off by ped office until I did suggest possible Celiac. Bloated belly, occasional vomiting...
  16. Keep her on GLUTEN. There has to be damage from eating gluten to diagnose Celiac with the endoscopy. It sounds like you need the "gold standard" diagnoses for your ex-husband.
  17. My husband was never diagnosed with Celiac. At my daughter's diagnoses (she was not even 2 years ) the whole house went gluten free. (yes. even pets!) After years eating gluten free at home he realized gluten just did not agree with him. He tried the Domino's gluten free pizza on a work trip, and did just fine. (He does notice adverse affects from...
  18. Our family's experience with Eosinophilic Esophagitis, ~ do the endoscopy! All symptoms do match EE or ( EoE). Unfortunately they also match a list of presenting symptoms for.... hernia H. Ployri defect of the GI tract parasite infection Celiac EE the list goes on, but I just can't think of them all... I also suggest you go back and try and...
  19. Still waiting for the snow piles to melt! (tapping foot arms crossed~Hrrmmpppphh!) It is supposed to snow this weekend......
  20. Can you find the cheesecake that is pre made and sold in a tub like cool whip? You can take the pre-made stuff and place on a small gluten free vanilla or shortbread cookie in a cupcake holder. Or I think Jell-O has an instant pudding of cheesecake flavor. Other than that, some cheesecake recipes are baked without a graham cracker crust. Start to look...
  21. Thanks for the pic! Now what stores are people finding the flavors at? I did NOT find them at Meijers. Target? I don't have any Walmart store close
  22. I still haven't found the Party Cake Peeps! Can someone post a picture of them?
  23. Congratulations! I believe Denver, Colorado is really making strides in gluten free food products. I think Udi's brand originated there and owns some restaurants and bakery. Can you look out for any gluten free food fairs in your area? Apparently they are running a contest to rename Udi's. (Probably because of Rudi's gluten free products)
  24. Moose, Did you try Buckwheat Creamy hot cereal a Hodgson Mill product? Ingredients are Buckwheat and milled flax seed. clearly labeled gluten free. If I remember correctly, it reminds me of cream of wheat more than cream of rice/grits.
  25. Where is the stricture? Esophagus?
