  4. I good place to look might be the articles of the opiate affect of wheat and casein. I do believe the articles I read for schizophrenia said to try the gluten free and casein free diet. I don't think there were any changes until the person had been on the diet for at least six months or longer. I would expect there to be some withdrawal type symptoms...
  5. We are here for you to vent to. My oldest son's test came back negative. He was eating gluten free for about 2 weeks, because I was just trying to get the basics of the diet down and everything in the kitchen checked. He ate 2 small chocolate chip cookies and his belly bloated out so badly. I thought back and the constipation and rash he had battled cleared...

  7. Welcome to the board! You need to give yourself time to heal. During that healing time there are some very common ingredients that can cause the "D" or other stomach upset. This has lead to a list of suspicious ingredients to watch out for. Annatto is one such ingredient. You may be lactose intolerate while you are healing. Vanilla or distilled vinegar...
  8. I agree with the others, try the gluten free diet. It would appear that males don't seem to suffer from the symptoms as often as females. The genetic markers that he tested positive for are linked with other auto-immune diseases, that a gluten free diet can help. The book, Dangerous Grains, may help you make this decision. L.
  9. I was stressing trying to figure out how to replace graham crackers for smores for the yearly trip up north. Someone on here said just use gluten free chocolate chip cookies. So simple, you don't even have to break up a chocolate bar in the dark. Now I like the "smores" even better now! L.

  13. I looked into vaccines, and I bought stock in the makers. It is completely protected money IMO. The vaccine compensation act that was passed in 1986, caps death payment at $250,000. It is very hard to prove vaccine damage in a patient, (you won't get any support from the medical field) and the complatent has a trial by phone against a panel of twelve lawyers...
  14. 18 months is not too young to have DH or Celiac. It is harder to get an accurate test result. DH is often called the sister disease of Celiac. In DH patients there is damage happening in the intestine. All first degree relatives should be screened.

  17. I would work with the best specialist you can get to. My daughter had projectile vomiting from the first attempt at formula (about 72 hours of age), even tried the most hypgenic available.   22. Rice crispies that have malt in the ingredients are probably not safe, because malt is mostly derived from barley. There are some specialty cereals and some off/store brand that are safe.
