  1. This list has tons and tons of old information. For instance (just one), tuna with vegetable broth is without exception all gluten-free. Never found one that isn't. It's simply made from vegetables (and sometimes rosemary). Vanillin is unquestionably gluten-free. richard
  2. It's gluten-free. richard
  3. Don't know about the bleeding, but the ttg could still be up. Mine wasn't tested again until after 6 months. richard

    ARCHIVED Why?!?

FYI, the beans and the chili powder are most definitely gluten-free. richard
  5. My opinion is that this has nothing or little to do with celiac and the subject always causes some pretty violent reactions on both sides. People who believe one way or the other ALWAYS cast doubt on any information that doesn't support their position. It's almost like "discussing" abortion or politics. IMO, it either shouldn't be on this forum or it should...
  6. Just like with celiac, I imagine it all depends on the person. Mine didn't get worse and i don't have a outbreaks if I make a mistake or get CCed. My father's actually disappeared completely before he went gluten-free. richard
  7. These days you need not worry about artificial flavors. In fact, you never really needed to. richard
  8. Don't know of any connection . There's no bad gluten in popcorn. richard
  9. I don't think there's a need to replace those. richard
  10. Also check bacterial overgrowth. That can cause you not to recover. richard
  11. The authors are Donna Washburn and Heather Butt. Book is about $11.50 at Amazon. I believe it is somewhat like that recipe. though no flaxmeal. You make a round loaf. richard
  12. I'm sorry you seem to react to a product like Coke, but are you saying that Coke is lying and is using a caramel color from overseas? Caramel color made in the U.S. is definitely gluten-free and they say the product is gluten-free. I'm not sure what country the website you gave is geared toward, but while much of it is good information, there are definitely...
  13. There is actually one recipe I've liked for ciabatta. It's in the 125 Best Gluten-Free Recipes book. It can actually hold together for a sandwich without toasting and while it doesn't exactly taste like "real" bread, the smell is close. Worth the low price of the book for this one recipe, IMO. richard
  14. Doesn't sound like DH. DH doesn't just go away that quickly. richard
  15. Six years later and I basically never eat the breads. I can't stand them. And to me they're definitely NOT worth the cost. richard
  16. If you haven't already, please, please make sure your children get tested for celiac disease. They have a much higher chance, particularly the one with diabetes. All first-degree relatives should be tested. richard
  17. I've never ever found a spice in six years that isn't a mix that has gluten. It just doesn't happen. There used to be this rumor that companies put "flour" in to make the spice pour better, but that makes no sense at all. And these days in the U.S., if they did that it would HAVE to be listed. There are some mixes, such as marinades and such that do have...

    ARCHIVED Snow

I WANT snow!! Instead we're getting a 34 degree rain. Blech.
  19. I've never called this company so can't guarantee anything, but if wheat isn't listed, it's almost certainly gluten-free. richard
  20. I would always check, but overall flavored coffees are very safe. richard
  21. Coke is gluten-free. Wasn't the caramel color.
  22. You might check out the info here. Open Original Shared Link richard
  23. It's been my experience that you can get gluten-free sushi just about anywhere. But you do need somebody who understands English well. Oh, and you need your own soy sauce. richard
  24. The most common presentation is really itchy blisters filled with clear fluid. richard
  25. Wouldn't go near it. One of those places that basically sends most of their foods pre-frozen and the folks there have no idea what's in it. Overpriced and, as you can see, will only waffle on what's in the food. richard
