How Come Gluten Didnt Bother Me In Italy
Hi Theresa, A few of my friends have your same story. You may be right about barley, etc. 18 years ago at a football game while clapping, suddenly my 4th finger was in agony. It looked like a vein had burst. It was blue for a couple hours, then disappeared. Finally realized it happened every time when drinking beer. It's occurred several times over the... -

Blood results
The EMA test is an old and less sensitive test for anti-tTG2 antibodies. It relies on a technician using a microscope to check for fluorescence of a labelled substrate (typically monkey oesophagus or human umbilicus), giving a simple positive/negative result. It is similar to running a standard anti-tTG2 test but with a high cut-off, making it more specific... -

How Come Gluten Didnt Bother Me In Italy
Maybe you have a low intolerance to Wheat. Rye, Barley and Malt are the gluten in Celiac disease. It has always been stated Wheat and Gluten, not just a Wheat intolerance. Barley will keep me in bed for (2) weeks. Gut, Migrains, Brain fog, Diahrea. It is miserable. And when I was a toddler the doctor would give me a malt medicine because I always... -

I know--the more I find out, the more I think Celiac will be a sideline. But, we'll wait and see--any mention is better than none at all!
Just bumping this--tonight's the night!
I also saw preview and was wondering how they are going to tie celiac disease to this womans problems. Although with all the reading I've done I know some people do get seizures. I do hope this show is good. I for one will be Tivo'g it so I can watch again.
In one preview, she looked darnright possessed!
Let's hope it gets celiac "out there"......
Hugs.
Karen
It will be interesting to see what the "research" section of the website will reveal after tonight's episode.
Let's hope it doesn't make people with celiac look "out there"....
*fingers crossed*
Actually, I bet this stie will get hammered. Every here should be ready for it... IF celiac disease is the star of the show, then ppl will hope online, and guess what site comes up first in google..... I feel for the moderators!

Yeah, good luck moderators!
I meant that I hope it doesn't make celiacs look like crazy baby-drowning posessed crazies.

thanks I realy need that this am!
Ha--got out just in the nick of time

Hey all, just checked on the time in my neck of the woods, and the summary says this (on tvguide.com site)
"A mother almost drowns her newborn son when she has a seizure while bathing him, but that's not what's causing his serious illness. And the mother's "seizure" turns out not to be a seizure at all. Meanwhile, Chase begins working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; Cuddy and Wilson have dinner together; and Foreman's back at work, though his mental acuity isn't all the way back."
So........hm.......maybe she has celiac? Tune in to find out! LOL! I will
