 Donna!

:lol::lol::lol:

Was hoping no one noticed that, lol.

Hmmm....I'm thinking the cows doing their business on or around our nice fresh rachelville grown veggies is not a good thing. <_<

I hereby object to cows pooping in the vegetable garden! I OBJECT!! (In case you didnt hear me) :D

 The President has spoken!

Then maybe after their poop is composted, we need a poop hauler to take it over and fertilize the garden, the poop won't be smelly at that point. Might be an appropriate job for the town idiot!

Sometimes I go back through recent pages in case I missed something. When this thread is hopping, I am more certain to do that....and when it's slow, I generally don't miss anything. :) You just need to hope it's a day I don't feel like posting. (which does happen believe it or not). :P

dlp252 Apprentice
Kind of a punishment for going back into the pages of the OMG thread.... :P

Yes this should be a decree...anyone who goes back should incur punishment, lol. (Okay, maybe only TheDave!)

I'd like to bring something to everyone's attention--I have done a successful multiple quote post for the first time ever! I'm pretty proud B)

OMGosh...is it true?

Doesn't poop hauler = attorney :lol::lol::lol:

I think I'd better keep quiet on this one...there IS one attorney (very nice I might add) in my office who has gluten intolerance, lol.

By-the-way, great picture!

Too funny, Donna do you work at an attorney's office?

Yes, I am the one in the middle. I only put the pic up because it is the only jpg I could find. That picture was from last year, Army 98 Fordham 0. The two guys are my touch judges, I was the referee for the match.

Yes, I do...I don't say too much about work here because I am one of 5 people in this office who are gluten intolerant or Celiac, lol. ;)

does everyone get the new name?

Hi Susan!

Nice to see you :)

That's the thing about company--you have to clean before they arrive, and then again after they leave!!!

This morning I was literally on my hands and knees cleaning up grease spots all over my kitchen floor. The funny thing is, they weren't there when I went to bed  Had to have something to do with my son's work boots.....

So does anyone have it as bad as I do as far as this site goes? It is minimized on my computer at work all day. I hate to miss out for too long because then I have so much to read to catch up. Ha!

oh yeah, i got home from working at frosh orientation and i had like 112 emails from celiac.com, which is many more than i usually get, cause i get notification of a new reply to this topic cause i can't get THAT far behind, or i will never catch up.

swittenauer Enthusiast

I think I spent the first 1/2 hour at work today just reading to catch up on here.

I hear you. I just hope that I don't get pages behind when I really have to do something. It usually takes me 1/2 hour to an hour to catch up in the morning and I try to be on consistently at night after the kids are in bed....by then it's usually calmed down.

I'm glad you enjoy it bc it probably won't stop since we're both lazy. Plus, I'll be going to college soon.

Girls, and our few men, and dingos,

My phone lines went down today so no internet. I was in panic mode, what am I gonna miss on the board :blink:

I have a lot of reading to do to catch up.

Shel Silverstein- I have a collection of his books, he was my favorite growing up- I think I have all of them.

Grease- LOVE IT, I love Grease 2 also, with Michelle Pfiefer (sp?). I watched that over and over and over again when I was 10 or 11, around there. The three questionable songs, not for young ears, "Reproduction" , "Do it For Our Country" and "Gonna Score Tonight", me and my friends would sing them at the top of our lungs, knew every word but didn't know exactly what it meant

Picard- great picture!!! You are a soccer coach too, right? I thought that is what you said and it looks like you are wearing some kind of sports uniform in the picture...

Susan- I am available to dingosit the bored staring dogs for you

Back to reading....

Forgot to say, I love everyone's new pictures,

OMG julie!!

I LOVE Grease 2!! I think I saw if first before I ever saw Grease....I loved it...have seen it too many times to count. I probably know it by heart. Because I saw it first, I never really liked the original Grease half as much. Nobody else gets this!! Everyone looks at me like I'm off my rocker cuz I like the one with Michelle Pfiefer better.....sue me!

The songs you named arent my favs though...I liked "I'll be Your Girl For All Seasons", "Cool Rider" and the one at the end...when they're at the luau....cant think of it right now.

Julie,

I was wondering where you were today.....wasn't worried......yet. :)

I saw Grease in the theater and both Olivia Newton John and John Travolta were wildly popular. They played the songs on the radio, too. It was big summer hit ... I was in high school.

I saw Grease 2 a couple years ago, but I don't remember it. I remember liking it better than I thought I would, but I don't really even remember it being in the theaters.

Okay, showing my age here ... I'll have to rent the second one again. I can see how you could like the second one better if the first was in the theaters before you were old enough to see it there.

Welcome to the forum, @Mmoc! Please include the reference ranges for the IGA and the TTG tests in your next post if you have access to them. We cannot comment much otherwise as different labs use different reference ranges for these tests and also different units of measurement. There are no universal standards as of yet so the raw test numbers are not always helpful. Having said that, if your IGA (what we usually call "total IGA") is low, the TTG-IGA score will be skewed and cannot be trusted. Other kinds of tests for celiac disease would need to be run, particularly those in the IGG family of tests. Perhaps this will be helpful:

Hi there any advice welcomed. I have had 4 years of symptoms ranging from immune related anaphylactic symptom sudden onset food allergy to peppers/paprika/chilli/capsicum family derivatives. all these allergies fizzled out and following a food challenge test in hospital I reintroduced them a few months ago. Since then my digestive system is a mess. i have since noticed that 4 years ago when testing for iga allergies my iga level was .62 and my ttg was less than .1 (due to symptoms I was probably eating very plainly at that time). should I insist on being retested for celiac? I’ve since read two indicators for celiac include: sensitive to spicy foods when in flare up tooth enamel weakness and symmetrical discolouration patches on teeth which I have had since childhood on my two front teeth     thanks

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
