long story short........

Dingy is

VINDICATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:P

I know this is terribly petty and mean-spirited........but now, even though I was a crazy-ass gluten brain, I seem to have some credibility (there were other things said that indicated this).............

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am out of my mind with some small gleeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

As if we all wouldn't hope for this sort of outcome for the obnoxious people in our lives.

My first ex came back begging me for forgiveness, and I said, um, no. And then did the dance that Susie's probably doing now.

Every once in a while the world turns appropriately :)

Onward!

That's the spirit!! I can feel the excitement building....

I'm smiling, too, Susie. The world has indeed turned appropriately. Maybe this guy will end up with...what was her name....Something Burton, the little creature who tattled on you about stealing.

Well, spoke to my bro last night. He is coming to visit Dec. 26th, with his son, son's girlfriend, and his own....NEW...GIRLFRIEND...! What is this? He is single and lonely ever since his divorce, and I find him his perfect match (mind you, a million miles away), at the same time that he's FOUND someone. Gad.....So, Susie, I'll get a good read on her while they're here, and report. Harrrrummmph.

<checking betting pool> . .. . Who had 5hrs 48min???

Trust me.....Robert, who is busy running his Empire, would never, in a million years, even if he were the most sick Celiac on the planet - check this forum. ;)

Fifteen-day visit, seven of which will be spent here.

Now, she is an undiagnosed, denying celiac, so if by chance she is deciding at this moment to finally do some reading on the subject, and stumbles upon this board, and exclaims, "My heavens!", ...imagine a very refined, Northumberland accent..."Elye....that just may be Emily! Now what does she have to say in her little messages?", I shall leave things at that for now.

Gaaaaaaaahhhhhh....

North Umberland......where is that? She sounds so.......exotic!!! Is she bringing any Yeti scat?

DONNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Donna will remember all of the pathetic Robert posts made by Yours Truly. And.....focusing our energies to make for what proved to be the Bulldogs' WORST LOSING SEASON in something like 75 years.

Every once in a while the world turns appropriately :)

:P Yes, yes it does......I do feel sorry for the new Mrs. Robert as I have truly experienced the force of that daughter's power and wrath....... Never, in my entire life, have I met such a wretched and unlikeable girl......it was astonishing.

My boyfriend has a girlfriend?????????? oh this is BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Emily.....this calls for drastic measures. hmmmmmmmmmm......I will ponder what to do. Something requiring your MIL's Yeti scat, methinks, adn a magic spell.

Patti said CAPITAL IDEA again and it's always good for a chuckle.

Right on the English/Scottish border (right, Nikki?)...I can feel her getting closer as the day wears on... <_<

But yes, perhaps she can be made useful. if she's brought some magical poop with her, and if I can get some incantations out of her that she has picked up from the First Nations people she knows, I may be able to rid the competition for you, Susie...

You know there's always is my dad! I'm always hoping he can find someone nice. He's a tad on the stoic side but a GREAT cook. And I can vouch for his children NOT being heinous.

Today I was at my Grandpa's and there was a bat in his apartment! Now, I consider myself to be pretty brave and not too much of a girly-girl but honestly I was screaming bloody murder. It was hysterically freaky. I hid in the kitchen while my grandpa went after it with a broom. For a second it was making a B-line right for me and I dove out of the way screaming the whole time! It eventually flew out the patio door. If anyone has ever seen the episode of The Office in which there was a bat in the office, it was pretty much the same thing -- chaos, screaming, and diving out of the way. I don' t know what it is about bats but they make people lose their minds. I don't think this sounds very funny to explain it but it was hilarious if you were there!

 that sentence cracked me up! Bats DO make people LOSE THEIR MINDS!!!!!!! and BTW - it actually does sound funny.

OMG - I had an (out-of-body?) experience with some over-the-counter sleeping pills my mom gave me when I was little, at the cabin, adn COVERED in poison oak. I, um, hallucinated all night long, saw/felt/heard swarms of bats EVERYWHERE - and........of course, there were none.

To this day even the thought of bats really could make me lose my mind!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, we think bats are pretty cool in this household. Might change my mind if one was in my house. I took the kids to a talk on bats with a bat expert (he had been on Ellen) and he had 4 bats with him. Cool stuff. He had some equipment so that we could hear the bats using their echolocation.

We are due to leave for Virginia in less than 36 hours. Beside the fact that I'm outrageously behind in my preperations . . . My son just threw up. Merry Christmas to me! My daughter had it last week. It's been floating around the school. A 24 hour thing. Hopefully, neither me or hubby will get it and we can continue on as planned. Always something!

Patti, the cookies taste great. I might try a little higher butter ratio next time or maybe just a tad bit less flour. The dough handled great and I think it would have whether it had been refridgerated on not. They did not spread at all and are a tad bit crumbly - not bad - but it's hard to sneak a cookie 'cause I'm leaving evidence. ;)

Emily, yes, you and Gus make a dapper pair! Soooo, do you really have kids? You've been known to . . . er . . . um . . . make things up?

'Twas. It was crunched up in the corner where the wall meets the ceiling in our bedroom. I still remember the noise when the sweet spot of my racket met that little body...eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww....

Tell me about it. My children, the truly camera-shy. Have no interest in posing in any shots. Even dragging them to family portrait appointments we are, literally, dragging them. Will have to sneak up on them and get a candid shot to post. Gus is always obliviously willing...

I'm still alive and well, visiting Sillyville. I'm trying to keep up, but am skimming through the posts and may not pick up everything. I'm glad to hear the Yeti is doing well in the Pacific Northwest. If you send him up into the Cascades it may feel just like home to him.

I'll be back before then, I'm sure, but I want to wish everyone here in Sillyville a wonderful Christmas if you celebrate it. If not, may the good will of the holiday season be yours.

I hope all of us, and those dear to us, have a healthy and prosperous year in 2008.

If black seed oil is working for his Afib, stick to it, but if not, I can say that ablation therapy is no big deal--my mother was out of the procedure in about 1 hour and went home that evening, and had zero negative effects from the treatment. PS - I would recommend that your husband get an Apple watch to monitor his Afib--there is an app and it will take readings 24/7 and give reports on how much of the time he's in it. Actual data like this should be what should guide his treatment.

This happened to me as well. What’s weirder is that within a couple hours of taking paxlovid it subsided. I thought maybe I got glutened but after reading your post not so sure.

Hi Tiffany. Thank you for writing your dituation and  circumstancesin such detail and so well writte, too. I particularly noticed what you wrote about brain for and feeling like your brain is swelling and I know from my own experiences that's how it feel and your brain really does swell and you get migraines.    Way back when I was in my 20s I read a book by 2 MD allergist and they described their patient who came in complaining that her brain, inside her cranium, was swelling  and it happened when she smelled a certain chemical she used in her home. She kept coming back and insisting her brain actually swelled in her head. The Drs couldn't explain this problem so they, with her permission, performed an operation where they made a small opening through her cranium, exposed her to the chemical then watched as she brain did swell into the opening. The DRs were amazed but then were able to advise her to avoid chemicals that made her brain swell. I remember that because I occasionally had brain fog then but it was not a serious problem. I also realized that I was becoming more sensitive to chemicals I used in my work in medical laboratories. By my mid forties the brain fog and chemicals forced me to leave my  profession and move to a rural area with little pollution. I did not have migraines. I was told a little later that I had a more porous blood brain barrier than other people. Chemicals in the air would go up into my sinused and leak through the blood brain barrier into my brain. We have 2 arteries  in our neck that carry blood with the nutrients and oxygen into the brain. To remove the fluids and used blood from the brain there are only capillaries and no large veins to carry it away so all those fluids ooze out much more slowly than they came in and since the small capillaries can't take care of extra fluid it results in swelling in the face, especially around the eyes. My blood flow into my brain is different from most other people as I have an arterial ischema, adefectiveartery on one side.   I have to go forward about 20 or more years when I learned that I had glaucoma, an eye problem that causes blindness and more years until I learned I had celiac disease.  The eye Dr described my glaucoma as a very slow loss of vision that I wouldn't  notice until had noticeable loss of sight.  I could have my eye pressure checked regularly or it would be best to have the cataracts removed from both eyes. I kept putting off the surgery then just overnight lost most of the vision in my left eye. I thought at the I had been exposed to some chemical and found out a little later the person who livedbehind me was using some chemicals to build kayaks in a shed behind my house. I did not realize the signifance  of this until I started having appointments with a Dr. in a new building. New buildings give me brain fog, loss of balance and other problems I know about this time I experienced visual disturbances very similar to those experienced by people with migraines. I looked further online and read that people with glaucoma can suffer rapid loss of sight if they have silent migraines (no headache). The remedy for migraines is to identify and avoid the triggers. I already know most of my triggers - aromatic chemicals, some cleaning materials, gasoline and exhaust and mold toxins. I am very careful about using cleaning agents using mostly borax and baking powder. Anything that has any fragrance or smell I avoid. There is one brand of dishwashing detergent that I can use and several brands of  scouring powder. I hope you find some of this helpful and useful. I have not seen any evidence that Celiac Disease is involved with migraines or glaucoma. Please come back if you have questions or if what I wrote doesn't make senseto you. We sometimes haveto learn by experience and finding out why we have some problems. Take care.       The report did not mention migraines.

Hi Jmartes71 That is so much like my story! You probably know where Laytonville is and that's where I was living just before my 60th birthday when the new Dr. suggested I could have Celiacs. I didn't go on a gluten challange diet before having the Celiac panel blood test drawn. The results came back as equivical as one antibody level was very high but another, tissue transaminasewas normal. Itdid show I was  allergic to cows milk and I think hot peppers. I immediately went gluten free but did not go in for an endoscopy. I found an online lab online that would do the test to show if I had a main celiac gene (enterolab.com). The report came back that I had inherited a main celiac gene, DQ8, from one parent and a D!6 from the other parent. That combination is knows to sym[tons of celiac worse than just inheriting one main celiac gene. With my version of celiac disease I was mostly constipated but after going gluten-free I would have diarrhea the few times I was glutened either by cross contamination or eating some food containing gluten. I have stayed gluten-free for almost 20 years now and knew within a few days that it was right for me although my recovery has been slow.   When I go to see a  medical provide and tell them I have celiacs they don't believe me. The same when I tell them that I carry a main celiac gene, the DQ8. It is only when I tell them that I get diarrhea after eating gluten that they realize that I might have celiac disease. Then they will order th Vitamin B12 and D3 that I need to monitor as my B12 levels can go down very fast if I'm not taking enough of it. Medical providers haven't been much help in my recovery. They are not well trained in this problem. I really hope this helps ypu. Take care.
