GOOD ONE!!!!!!!! Yes, Bunnie's got it right, I think, the poor man had glutened himself and had to take quite an extended break. Next time, I'll check fer the fetid, reeking bucket (from a distance) and just nod knowingly at him......

Got a better idea, Soooozie - - next time ya see him heading reluctantly into his trailer, holding his breath and pacing about before barging through the gate, tell him you'll allow him to empty his fetid bucket into your toilet - - for three front lawn treatments.

.......so I click on things.......and then......and then I have to select other things and........then I had to play a freakin' game all of a sudden and.........invite my friends....

I'm going to ignore things now, when it prompts me to do sumfin'. So if you sent a drink or a furry pet or some karma or a green patch, thank you, 'twere all lovely.

Yes...... . . I phrequently get poked.. . .. .tickled. . ....rarely hugged or given stuffed things.

Can you grab someone?

How about biting, or taking a swing at someone?

....That's another Book.... . . . .....

but............what can it mean????????

Em will know. ;)

Now, the novel that Janet has begun. .. . .......

Just wait for the Zulu gym member, an exchange student, to enter mysteriously into the heroine's life. He begins to scoot along her living room carpet and steal her Vaneli sandals...... ...she is at a loss, knows not where to turn - - until one evening she sits transfixed in front of her television, watching this K-Tel advertisement:

http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/20...a-hot-pants.webp

This could be the answer. The answer to EVERYTHING.

For all of you that have been anxiously waiting, here is the answer to your questions about my balls.

Gluten Free Meatballs

The main recipe for meatballs calls for bread crumbs. We make these from Glutino Fiber Bread, but other gluten-free breads should work equally well. It is best for this purpose when it has been defrosted for at least a day, or that fresh bread is at least a day old. Tear it into pieces and then use the pulse setting on a blender or food processor until the desired consistency is achieved. Unused crumbs can be placed in a sealed container and stored in the freezer. If measuring frozen crumbs for a recipe, allow extra. We find 1 1/4 cups of frozen defrosts to about 1 cup.

Hmm, maybe this should be a secret recipe. It has eleven four different herbs and spices.

Preheat oven to 400F (200C)

15x10 inch pan, lightly greased (or use PAM)

Makes about 45-50 meatballs.

1 1/2 lbs extra lean ground beef (750g)

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup gluten-free bread crumbs (see above) (250 ml)

1 tbsp dried parsley flakes (15 ml)

1 tbsp dried basil (15 ml)

1 tbsp dried oregano (15 ml)

1/4 tsp ground black pepper (1 ml)

You can use fresh instead of dried herbs by doubling the measure, that is, 2 tbsp or 30 ml.

In a large bowl, gently mix together beef, egg, bread crumbs, parsley, basil, oregano and ground pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place in single layer on prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until no longer pink in the center.

To Freeze: Cool slightly then freeze baked meatballs on the jelly roll pan. Once frozen, remove from the pan and place in a heavy-duty freezer bag. They won't stick together. Remove as needed and add directly to sauce, or microwave until just thawed before adding to sauce.

The picture was taken while cooling after baking and before freezing.

Bon appetit.

Here is the syntax you need. I will include it twice, first as the actual bb code, and then again substituting braces for the brackets so you can see the structure.

I hope that helps. I usually paste the url from another browser window's address bar.

Gooood Morning, Sillies!

DH is taking the day off work, and I'll be here through the afternoon- - - we have two big worker men joining us. . . . . . doin' some SERIOUS final destruction, and installation of the decking. I shall be wearing work gloves, as all intelligent workers should do whilst on a site.:lol:

I could not get the Michael Phelps diet footage. .. .....apparently, they do not stream up here to Canada. If we give up some of our softwood lumber and fresh water, they will come to the table.... .. . ....

Oh, dear gawd..... . ...My ineptidude for this kind of thing is astonishing and amuses many. . . . . I just begin to read these brief, straightforward instructions from PeOter, and my heart is racing, my brain screaming..... . .. . . ...gaaaaaaaaahhhhh....... .. ....!!!

PeOter! I have done meatballs with ingredients exactly like this, except I've used gluten-free rolled oats in place of the bread crumbs. Also delish, and at times easier, as I always have oats handy and rarely old gluten-free bread to sacrifice... . . . ...thanks fer this recipe!

..... .. I am CERTAIN that your balls are better than mine...... .....

My recipe fer balls is almost identical to PeOter's. As fer the technical link instructions.....:lol:

It's rainin' big burly workmen over at Em's!!! :o Wif a group like that, you should have yer hot tub installed stat!!!

I've got a guy comin' over in about a half hour, meself. Our pond has been leaking and we are now noticing one of the basement walls (the one nearest the waterfall) is beginning to discoloUr. When I made the appointment last week, the man told me not to add any more water until they got there (it makes diagnosing easier).

Well, there's now about a foot of water left!! I keep an eye on the fish--they seem fine. They have a deeper grotto under the waterfall, so they're ok fer now. (I woulda added water fer them if I had to ;) )

I hope it's a simple fix, but somephin tells me it ain't gonna be <_< Mefinks a couple post counts are comin home to roost

Gawd--that poor woman! Mine is not like that at all--it's like a pin prick that you might have after a shot. The skin around it is perfectly normal looking. It really doesn't look like any sort of a reaction is happening.

Mark had Lyme a couple years ago--he actually developed the bulls eye rash (I was the one who spotted it--it was on the back inside of his arm). He also had a stiff neck, fatigue and a headache.

I'm hoping I got off with a warning this time--but I'm staying aware of the situation ;)

Yeah, light colored clothing, pants tucked in socks. :)

I'd go with a vodka tonic, but that's just me😉

That and my nutritionist also said that drinking cider is one of the worst drink choices for me, given that I have candida overgrowth.  She said the combination of the alcohol and sugar would be very likely to worsen my candida problem.  She suggested that if I drink, I go for clear vodka, either neat or with a splash of cranberry.   So in summary, I am giving ciders a rest.  Whether it's a gluten risk or sugars and yeast overgrowth, its just not worth it.

While plain, pure tea leaves (black, green, or white) are naturally gluten-free, the issue often lies not with the tea itself but with other ingredients or processing. Many flavored teas use barley malt or other gluten-containing grains as a flavoring agent, which would be clearly listed on the ingredient label. Cross-contamination is another possibility, either in the facility where the tea is processed or, surprisingly, from the tea bag material itself—some tea bags are sealed with a wheat-based glue. Furthermore, it's important to consider that your reaction could be to other substances in tea, such as high levels of tannins, which can be hard on the stomach, or to natural histamines or other compounds that can cause a non-celiac immune response. The best way to investigate is to carefully read labels for hidden ingredients, try switching to a certified gluten-free tea brand that uses whole leaf or pyramid-style bags, and see if the reaction persists.

This is a challenging and confusing situation. The combination of a positive EMA—which is a highly specific marker rarely yielding false positives—alongside strongly elevated TTG on two separate occasions, years apart, is profoundly suggestive of celiac disease, even in the absence of biopsy damage. This pattern strongly aligns with what is known as "potential celiac disease," where the immune system is clearly activated, but intestinal damage has not yet become visible under the microscope. Your concern about the long-term risk of continued gluten consumption is valid, especially given your family's experience with the consequences of delayed diagnosis. Since your daughter is now at an age where her buy-in is essential for a gluten-free lifestyle, obtaining a definitive answer is crucial for her long-term adherence and health. Given that she is asymptomatic yet serologically positive, a third biopsy now, after a proper 12-week challenge, offers the best chance to capture any microscopic damage that may have developed, providing the concrete evidence needed to justify the dietary change. This isn't about wanting her to have celiac; it's about wanting to prevent the insidious damage that can occur while waiting for symptoms to appear, and ultimately giving her the unambiguous "why" she needs to accept and commit to the necessary treatment. This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the IgA Levels/Deficiency Test (often called "Total IGA") because some people are naturally IGA deficient, and if this is the case, then certain blood tests for celiac disease might be false-negative, and other types of tests need to be done to make an accurate diagnosis. The article includes the "Mayo Clinic Protocol," which is the best overall protocol for results to be ~98% accurate.
