Gads, I leave dh home for 4 hours and he decides to clean house. GREAT idea since his baby tubes were sliced and diced yesterday  Guess who was writhing on the sofa wif an orange-sized hematoma in his left groin....pseriously, do I have to babysit everyone?!?!?!

I met some other mom's at the zoo this morning and took and extra 4 year old boy wif me (jackson), as well as my 8 year old. When the 2 boys got in the car, the immediately started dishing about Ava, who is in their class (and would be at the zoo), see Jackson and Ava are quite the 'item' and Max wants her to himself (since his set of twins moved away ) , so he and Jackson were trying to work out a deal. Initially Jackson was willing to sell her off for 50 quarters and by the end of the car ride, she was down to 5 dollars in cash and 21 quarters and Jackson would no longer be building the house he promised her.... I was laughing so hard. Poor Ava   And this was poor Madeleine's phace thru the whole morning

 Maddie swears Stanley was in her classroom right now.....how's you manage that??

You hate to discourage housecleaning.

My now 14 year old had a similar issue in Kindergarten. Many boys liked the same 2 girls: Elaina who was pretty but not as pretty but very fun & friendly & the exotic "Beautious Alaina". The boys decided the girls would trade off being Queen of the classroom - one week & the other the next week. The queen got to tell the boys what to make with legos & to pick up stuff.

I think Good Stanley has gone back to school but his evil twin clone has stayed in the UK.

POeter! I'm really sorry to hear about Jacquie's fibroid nightmare. . . . ......how frightening and stressful. I'm really thinking of you two, and yes, you ARE a great hub.

...... . . ..Hubby-dubby-doo, as me mom would say.

Will she still say things like that, post -stroke? Will she still find things fan-f*ckin'-TAS-tic? ... . ....

Mehopes so. :)

Jestgar Rising Star

Maybe she'll have even better, more inappropriate, things to say. :)

My friend who ditched on Friday called me yesterday and I road tripped with her and her mom (Grand Pocky) to go shopping in Sequim. It was a blast. We went to the market and then Costco.

The Costco I normally go to is full of inattentive parents nominally in charge of throngs of children who spend most of their day crowding around the sample stands. Sequim, however, has a median age of 60. Not a child in sight in the extra wide aisles of Costco.... :)

In just a short bit I'll be walking to their house and my friend and I are walking a 5K around downtown. This is the most I've done on a weekend in a very long time.

Know this has been discussed - but I finally tried Udi's white bread.

I am quite certain it was the best ham and cheese sandwich I've had in close to 6 years----by far. (and how has it been that long?!)

Wow. All the buzz on that bread is correct.

Glad you enjoyed it, Laura :D

I actually had a loaf in my hand at WF--it looked delicious and soft but I couldn't try it because of the tapioca <_< It's so great, though, that they've managed to come out with a good gluten-free bread--finally!

I hope so too. Like Jess said - maybe she will be even better. Not only will she want to tatoo the eybrows but maybe pierce them too!

I'm fairly certain you wouldn't let your kids run wild through the aisles and crowd around the sample stands yelling

"MOM!! CAN WE HAVE SOME??????"

to you while you are still on the other side of the store

Mmmm Udi's

A few months ago I was dying to finally retry something w/ yeti yeast - zero since candida "dx" in '05 & last yr bloodtest for candida antibodies was neg (well, highest of 3 meas was an 8 where 10 is "positive") - so poking around WhF saw they'd gotten the much-balleyhooed Udi's.

I was PSYCHED!!! :o

Ahhhh I believe it was Dec 5th :D (2 days later was my last great perfuming @work, tho it was only the damn fragrance in his shampoo I think. . .omFg it's such bs).

Anyway ... .of course I loved loved LOVED the bread, but .. ..uhhhmmm . . .well 3rd day in. ....uhhh it'd be a <ahem> gross exaggeration to say 's$#&ting blood', but the tp was WAY redder than it should ever be.

:(

But what if the perfuming or something else caused it?!!! !!

3 wks later tried it again . . ..same response. :( :(

No other ingred is questionable for me, except the canola, which just makes me dizzy. So it's the yeast.

Before finding the Udi's, I thought I was gonna try something from WhF g f bakery but EVERY DAMN THING THEY MAKE HAS SOY FLOUR!!!!!

<ugh it takes me so long to compose #$%^& sentences these days> :(

Over a year ago, maybe 2, my microwave developed a mind of it's own......not counting down or heating up, but still running......not stopping when I want it to.........running when I DON'T want it to.......

Then it thought better of it and decided to behave. <_<

Well now it's doin' it's own thang again!

Yeast, huh?

For me it's definitely sugars......same thing happens with fruit......and not so much an exaggeration

Really would love to try the Udi's :(

This evidence (forum acting up & the crazy microwve) along with Jess's magical Crockpot should be taken seriously. Machines are going to rule the world! We think the kids FRIST Robots are in crates being shipped home but.....

Have you tried Pure Encapsulations supplements? This is a brand my doctor recommends for me. I have no issues with this brand.

plant sources of calcium, such as spinach, have calcium bound to oxalates, which is not good. best source of calcium is unfortunately dairy, do you tolerate dairy? fermented dairy like kefir is good and or a little hard cheese. i do eat dairy, i can only take so much dietary restriction and gluten is hard enough! but i guess some people do have bad reactions to it, so different for everyone.

i take b12, folate, b2, b6, glycine, Nac, zinc, vk2 mk4, magnesium, coq10, pqq, tmg, creatine, omega 3, molybdnem (sp) and just started vit d. quite a list i know.  I have high homocysteine (last checked it was 19, but is always high and i finally decided to do something about it) and very low vitamin d, 10. have been opposed to this supp in the past, but going to try it at 5k units a day. having a pth test on friday, which is suspect will be high. my homocysteine has come down to around 9 with 3 weeks of these supplements and expect it to go down further. i also started on estrogen/progesterone. I have osteoporosis too, so that is why the hormones.  anyway, i think all celiacs should have homocysteine checked and treated if needed (easy enough with b vit, tmg). homocysteine very bad thing to be high for a whole host of reasons. all the bad ones, heart attack , stroke, alzi, cancer..... one of the most annoying things about celiacs (and there are so many!) is the weight gain. i guess i stayed thin all those years being undiagnosed because i was under absorbing everything including calories. going gluten-free and the weight gain has been terrible, 30#, but i'm sure a lot more went into that (hip replacement - and years of hip pain leading to inactivity when i was previously very active, probably all related to celiacs, menopause) yada yada. i seemed to lose appetite control, like there was low glp, or leptin or whatever all those hormones are that tell you that you are full and to stop eating. my appetite is immense and i'm never full. i guess decades or more ( i think i have had celiacs since at least my teens - was hospitalized for abdominal pain and diarrhea for which spastic colon was eventually diagnosed and had many episodes of diarrhea/abdominal pain through my 20's. but that symptom seemed to go away and i related it to dairy much more so than gluten. Also my growth was stunted, i'm the only shorty in my family. anyway, decades of malabsorption and maldigestion led to constant hunger, at least thats my theory. then when i started absorbing normally, wham!! FAT!!!

Great advise there I agree with the aniexty part, and the aura migraine has I suffer both, I've also read some great books that have helped I'm going too look the one you mentioned up too thankyou for that, I find a camomile tea just a small one and a gentle wind down before bed has helped me too, I suffer from restless leg syndrome and nerve pain hence I don't always sleep well at the best of times , racing mind catches up I have decorated my whole house in one night in my mind before 🤣 diet changes mindset really help , although I have to say it never just disappears, I find once I came to terms with who I am I managed a lot better  , a misconception is for many to change , that means to heal but that's not always the case , understanding and finding your coping mechanisms are vital tools , it's more productive to find that because there is no failure then no pressure to become something else , it's ok to be sad it's ok to not sleep , it's ok to worry , just try to see it has a journey not a task 🤗
    • nanny marley
I agree there I've tryed this myself to prove I can't eat gluten or lactose and it sets me back for about a month till I have to go back to being very strict to settle again
