poor widdle dog!!!!!!!!

Poor widdle Tinkerbell :( But, I swear I think I know these people--the Utley's. How is it possible that I live here, and actually work in Rochester, and Suze knew about this before I did??

Answer: Mimms spends entirely too much time talking to her invisible friends online.

am at work - and, I just showed my boss and my young co-worker, Derek, my cleavage sternum.

it was shocking......in its phlagrant display of savage boniness

Hey - where in hell is gianknit????

The last time I saw bone on my sternum I was downright anorexic. Otherwise, being mammorily gifted and incredibly short--anybody can see clearly down me shirt just about any time they want to. Been told so. Can't help it. Hate  turtlenecks

Maybe she's in Waterford, MI??

I told you we had 70 mile an hour winds!!

...the pet psychic reunited them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D ......... wait  ...we don't have them 'ere <_<

Is this to get rid of the wee Mexican Hispanic man??

Oh, but you do! I can't remember her name--something, something WIH. I'll think of it...

Yes, lovey, this year we were thinking of flying our Lear to the South of France. But, I've heard the Riviera is sooo much better. Perhaps the Yucatan might be nice, although that flu they've had is rather droll.

BTW--my parents live on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. :greenpukeguy:

Emily, love the new av. You are beautifull!

Suze, every time I see your av I think you are still drinking  You are, aren't you?? The bathrobe sleeve is a nice touch. Looks like you're at a PJ party, painting your toenails 'er sumfin'.

Gads, doesn't THAT sound loverly?

I just came upstairs with the laundry and my daughter was watching "Open Season 2". They were singing "Just like me they long to be..." and I burst out singing "Close to youuuu". My daughter was all like, "Gah--M-aw-m?! That sounds aw-full!"

Lilly Allen has three nipples, as does Mark Wahlberg and Krusty the Clown (alongside his pacemaker scar)..........

This is compelling reading:

A third nipple usually occurs somewhere on the chest, but not always. Brazilian researchers recently reported the first case of a nipple occurring on (wait for it) the bottom of the foot. The case is that of a 22-year-old woman. Her foot nipple was fairly well developed with

Raye-chyull! Yer parents are in the Yucatan? Not a good time to be down there.. .. . .. . ...How close are they to Mexico (whoops! Hispanic) City? Any swine flu nearby?

Well, yes, they've been there for about a year or so, but their visas are up so they are due to return momentarliy. My mother is particularly at risk as she takes enbrel (sp) for her arthritis which dramatically increases the risk of infection. They just sent me this e-mail, and there tain't nuthin' silly about it (I deleted out the blah, blah, blah):

Update on Flu Outbreak in Mexico - Center for Disease Control Issues

Travel Notice for Mexico; Mexico City Cancels Classes until May 6

April 26, 2009

The U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) updated on April 26, 2009 a

notice about H1N1 "swine" influenza and travel to Mexico.

On April 25, the Government of Mexico announced that as a precautionary

measure, all schools from kindergarten through university level will

remain closed until May 6 in the Federal District, State of Mexico, and

San Luis Potosi. All government-sponsored events involving large crowds

have also been canceled, and museums and most tourist attractions are

closed...

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City will open on Monday morning, April 27,

2009, but all non-essential services to the public will be suspended...

The Embassy's visa unit will also suspend normal operations during this

week. The Embassy will reschedule all visa applications which have been

made for the week of April 27th...

All other operations at the U.S. consulates and consular agencies

throughout Mexico will continue as normal...

The U.S. Embassy reminds U.S. citizens in Mexico that most cases of

influenza are not "swine flu"; any specific questions or concerns about

flu or other illnesses should be directed to a medical professional.

Mexico City medical authorities urge people to avoid hospitals and

clinics unless they have a medical emergency, since hospitals are

centers of infection; instead, those with health concerns are encouraged

to stay home and call their physicians to avoid potential exposure.

Although the U.S. Embassy cannot give medical advice or provide medical

services to the public, a list of hospitals and doctors in the Yucatan

Peninsula can be found on the U.S. Consulate Merida website at the

following link: Open Original Shared Link.

But, my mother assures me that all is well and no need to panic :o<_<

Mornin all. Wet, rainy, (earl)grey, gloomy day. Hard to adjust to the temperature bouncing around. In the 90's yesterday (mmmmmmm, prrrrrrr), high of 58 today (iiiiiiiick, brrrrrrrr). Good day to do all the shopping that I need to do and tend to avoid as long as possible.

Niknik.....don't forget to take the socks out of the tea kettle first! :o

Psuess.......phlashing your bones at the boys when they are expecting actual cleavage is crewel and unusual punishment (but good for you!). Gave me a little giggle.

Not much to say.....or.....probably I do, I just can't phind any of it amongst the kobwebbies in my head. Another round of doctor phoolishness koming up and I just don't wanna go.

Dear gawd. . .... . ...two are enough, thank you. . . . ..

I presented my findings to DD last evening -- the stats varied somewhat, but one in fifty people seemed to be what was quoted the most. Apparently, the removal of a third nipple is a fairly common procedure in plastic surgery, for those who wish to belong in the world of the bi-nippular. . . . ....

......But on the bottom of the FOOT? So weird, I do not even have anything raucously funny to say about this. . . . . .....

remember, she is one of a handful who have called me SCHMOOZ since the age of 16, but when I was diagnosed w/ celiac, she and her hubby INSTANTLY started calling me SPRUE-ZEE *snort*

Yes, I'm still drinking. he he. No, not really, but I will pull the juicer out one last time when Karenly makes it over with the citrus - we had to postpone.

@sleuth, Has your son been checked for nutritional deficiencies?  All of those symptoms can be caused by malnutrition.  I had severe malnutrition that went unrecognized by my doctors.  Intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, and gastrointestinal distress are symptoms of deficiencies in the eight essential B vitamins, especially Thiamine B1, which becomes low first because the demand is higher when we're sick.     Celiac Disease causes inflammation and damage of the intestinal lining which inhibits absorption of essential nutrients.  Checking for nutritional deficiencies is part of proper follow up care for people with celiac disease.   Is your son taking any vitamin supplements?  Most supplements contain thiamine mononitrate which in not readily absorbed and utilized by the body.  Benfotiamine is a form of thiamine that is shown to promote intestinal healing.  Benfotiamine is available over the counter.  Benfotiamine is safe and nontoxic.   Is your son eating processed gluten-free foods?  Gluten-free processed foods are not required to be enriched with vitamins like their gluten containing counterparts.   Is your son following a low histamine diet?  Histamine is released as part of the immune response to gluten and other foods high in histamine.  High levels of histamine in the brain can cause anxiety, insomnia, and depression.  The body needs the B vitamins to make the enzyme Diamine Oxidase (DAO) to break down and clear histamine.  DAO supplements are available over the counter.  Vitamin C helps clear histamine as well.  Some people find over the counter antihistamines helpful as well, but they're not for long term use.   Nicotine has antihistamine-like properties, but can also irritate the gut.  Tobacco, from which nicotine is derived, is a nightshade (like tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and eggplant).  Nightshades contain alkaloids which affect gastrointestinal permeability, causing leaky gut syndrome.  Nicotine can cause gastrointestinal irritation and alter for the worse the microbiome. Safer alternatives to Nicotine that have antihistamine properties include Lemon Balm (Sweet Melissa),  Passion Flower, Chamomile, and Bilberry.  They can be taken as supplements, extracts, or tea.  These will help with the anxiety, insomnia and depression in a much safer way. Oolong tea is also helpful.  Oolong tea contains the amino acid L-Theanine which helps the digestive tract heal.  (L -Theanine supplements are available over the counter, if not a tea drinker.)  Tryptophan, a form of Niacin B3, also helps calm digestive symptoms.  Another amino acid, L-Lysine, can help with anxiety and depression.  I've used these for years without problems.   What ways to cope have you tried in the past?

In general if it is labelled gluten-free then it should be ok for most celiacs, however, those who are super sensitive (which is most who have dermatitis herpetiformis) may want to eat only certified gluten-free items, which are supposed to test down to 10ppm (but don't always!).
    • Wheatwacked
Have faith, you will survive. I get mine from Pipingrock.com.  500 capsules of 10,000 IU for $22.  That is almost two years worth for me.  250 caps 5000 IU for $6.69 if you only take 5,000 a day.  It's like half the price of Walmart.
    • Wheatwacked
Testing can't alone be trusted.  Else why would it take so many years of testing and retesting and misdiagnosis to finally be told, yes you have Celiac Disease. As to what to eat, I like pre 1950 style food.  Before the advent of TV dinners.  Fresh food is better for you, and cooking from scratch is cheaper.  Watch Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals for how to cook.  Keep in mind that she is not gluten free, but her techniques are awesome.  Just use something else instead of wheat, barley, rye. Dr Fuhrman is a ex cardiologist.  His book Eat to Live and Dr Davis' book Wheatbelly were instrumental in my survival.
