Glutino Pretzles

I noticed that Whole Foods stocks big bags of Glutino Pretzles but at $5. I wanted to ask if anyone has tasted them and if they taste anything like real pretzles. I've spent so much on gluten free snacks that were so bad that I've only eaten them one time. Thanks!

I LOVE these pretzels! I don't buy them often because of the expense. Even my gluten-eating friends always grab some out of my bag. I think they are worth buying, but I do wish they were cheaper so I could have them more often.

$5.00 sounds like a good price to me--- I pay $6.99 a bag. All of my family gluten-free & non gluten-free love them. They I think are actually better than the wheat ones.I put hersey kisses in between two of them heat in oven ---makes a great treat for the kids.

Stawberry pretzel salad is another good one..

In my opinion, glutino pretzels are the best out there!! Before I went gluten-free I was a pretzel fiend, I was soooo happy to find these (happy dance moment!)! I prefer them to the gluten-filled variety (so do my friends but they have to sneak them because they're mine :P).

And $5 a bag?? I usually pay around $8 :o

If you like pretzels at all, BUY THEM!! You won't be sorry :D

My dd loves them too! I pay about $6.99 a bag too. Crazy!!

WOW! I'm so glad to hear what you all said! I might've understated the price - I know when I saw the $5 in the price I didn't look to see how much it was exactly. It's just so annoying to pay these prices when everone else pays .99 for a bag of ordinary pretzles.

My husb loves the Energ Wylde Pretzels. Says they are very close the "reg" pretzels and they do not cost $5 a bag.

my daughter and I both love the Glutino pretzels... last year for snack time at school, my daughter wanted to take them to share with her entire class one day, the whole kindergarten class LOVED them.

I love the sesame ones, they are killer good.

cycler Contributor

You were all right!!!!!!!

I bought them this week and they are GREAT!

They were $5.99 but it is a big bag and if I don't eat too many at one time it will last a while.

Budew Rookie

I like the EnerG pretzels, regular not sesame @ $1.80.

I guess I must be an oddball! I tried the Glutino pretzels last year and thought they were disgusting! I threw them out. Looks like I am the only person who doesn't love them!!!

The EnerG sesame ones are my favorite. Glutinos are ok, but have found I prefer EnerG. I also like that they come in smaller bags and easy for snacking on trips and carpooling and etc....

glutino pretzels can be bought on amazon .com in bulk --- you end up paying less than 5 dollars a bag which for me was excellent since I can only get them for 6.99 at the cheapest! I love the pretzels and I'm more than happy to have tons - my fiance eats them on me and drives me nuts!

Kinda off topic here but has anyone tired the Glutino break bar? It tastes just like a kit kat! Its so good that I checked the labeling again just make sure I'd read it correctly. I think I'm really lucky to get them, as I know of only one health food shop in my area that get them in (It don't think it is a common brand here in Aus) I also wanted to as if anyone has tired there savoury biscuits, the health food shop sells them in pack of 3 or 4 wich would be perfect for me as the other brand similar biscuits I buy end up going off before I can eat them. Grateful for anyones thoughts! esp on the chocie bar ( I am just ever so slightly obsessed)

All those gluten-free pretzels are great in "Chex mix" made with Rice Crunchems and Corn crunchems and some mixed nuts. One of these days I'm going to make some chocolate covered ones for that sweet/salty combo I miss. Or just melt some chocolate chips in the microwave and dunk them as I eat.

I just had to post to this one. Recently diagnosed Celiac, first time poster. My sister and 2 nieces also have it. I have only been able to find these in a little health food store in Evansville IN ( I go through there to get to my sisters'). I usually have to pay about 7.00 or 8.00 dollars for them. They are excellent.

I always save some back and use them in my meatloaf. My husband (non-celiac) has said he loves the meatloaf with the Glutino preztels in them better than when I made my meatloaf with crackers.

I also use them for a crunchy crust for casseroles. There are a 101 uses for them.

I love these pretzels. I put plain cream cheese on them. It tastes just like a bagel.

I am on day 13 of eating gluten  and have decided to have the celiac panel done tomorrow instead of Wed. (and instead of extending it a few more weeks) because I am SO incredibly sick. I have almost no appetite and am not able to consume the required daily intake of calcium to try to keep up with the loss of calcium from the high parathyroid hormone and/or the renal calcium leak.    I have spent the past 15 years working hard to improve my health. I lost 50lbs, got off handfuls of medications, lowered my cholesterol to enviable levels, and in spite of having end stage osteoarthritis in both knees, with a good diet and keeping active I have NO pain in those joints- til now.  Almost all of my joints hurt now I feel like someone has repeatedly punched me all over my torso- even my ribs hurt- I have nausea, gas, bloating, headache, mood swings, irritability, horrid flatulence (afraid to leave the house or be in any enclosed spaces with other people- the smell would knock them off their feet) I was so sure that I wanted a firm diagnosis but now- I'm asking myself is THIS worth it? esp over the past 2 yrs I have been feeling better and better the more I adjusted my diet to exclude highly refined grains and processed foods. I didn't purposely avoid gluten, but it just happened that not eating gluten has made me feel better.   I don't know what I would have to gain by getting a definitive diagnosis. I think possibly the only advantage to a DX would be that I could insist on gluten-free foods in settings where I am unable to have access to foods of my choice (hospital, rehab, nursing home)  and maybe having a medical reason to see a dietician?   please let me know if it's reasonable to just go back to the way I was eating.  Actually I do plan to buy certified gluten-free oats as that is the only grain I consume (and really like) so there will be some minor tweaks I hope and pray that I heal quickly from any possible damage that may have been done from 13 days of eating gluten.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
