I have had diegestive problems for a long time, I really began to notice it a few years ago when I noticed that I had very foul oderous gas, constipation/ and or D. For a while I was having trouble keeping any food down so my gall bladder was removed. The most recent issues I am having are....

Diagnosed with UTI- July 2007

Diagnosed with colitis - July 2008

Diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia-July 2008

Diagnosed with enlarged spleen-August 2008

Frequent Lengthy Migraines

fatigue

muscle cramps

lactose intolerance

cinnamon oil allergy

laytex allergy

morphine allergy

walnut allergy

I have had many blood tests, ct scans, they have ruled out Mono, Liver conditions, and Leukemia among many others

Dr explained to me that my mcv is 69 acceptable is 80-99

He has referred me to a hematologist, no colonoscopy or Endoscopy

Any suggestions?

Hi, :)

First suggestion------ Don't be scared---- only makes EVERYTHING worse.

Second suggestion----- to help with feeling overwhelmed----- Let this be your mantra :) " I will take one day at a time " , then pursue every avenue to wellness, but understand that it may take a while to sort everything out.

Do go ahead and see the hematologist that your doctor recommended and discuss with him your concerns about possible Celiac disease-----

ask him if it would be beneficial to have the Celiac panel done for your peace of mind ----

You may want to read "Celiac Disease, a Hidden Epidemic" by Dr. Peter Green----

Hang in there----- Hope you are feeling better soon.

My migraines are gone gluten free....there is light at the end of the tunnel. You should get tested for Celiac. Find a doctor who will do a complete Celiac panel.

Call your doctor Monday morning and ask to speak to a nurse. When you get the nurse on the phone tell her that you would like to pick up or have faxed a lab slip for a complete celiac panel. You should not need to wait for another appointment to do this. If your regular doctor refuses, which I don't think they will, call the hemo's office and ask for them to call in the request. During the same call tell them you want to be sent the A COPY of the lab results when they come in. Don't rely on just the blood test though. There are too many false negative for you to take a negative result and think okay then I am definately not celiac.

Thank you those who responded. I went to the hematologist office and she ordered a colonoscopy, endoscopy and iv iron which is a 6 hour process

They both do.  The peanuts add nutrients to the treat. Tootsie Roll: Sugar, Corn Syrup, Palm Oil, Condensed Skim Milk, Cocoa, Whey, Soy Lecithin, Artificial and Natural Flavors. But M&M's contain milk, and would not be at all like a Tootsie Roll.

I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets for disability because I show no signs of celiac BECAUSE IM GLUTENFREE! Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver. After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values.  Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  I use them as a gluten free substitute for a peanut butter sandwich.  Try her on grass fed, pasture fed milk. While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I see it everyday on my feeds.  They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts.  I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field.  Some days I would just like to scream.  So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach them properly. I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
