  1. Ain't that always the way! HAHAHA!!!
  2. She has problems with other foods, it's not about the gluten, although with pre-packaged hams it is always advisable to read the ingredients/ google the brand to make sure it's safe!
  3. Also Vit C helps iron absorption, I take them together.
  4. I suppose, since I'm stuck with unwilling celibacy at the moment, I can be the one who takes this one for the team.... (for now.....)
  5. Honestly, most modern dishwashers get along just fine without the soap. Especially on a heavier cycle, and you had pre rinsed them anyway. I'm thinking you'll probably be just fine!
  6. The 'bravo' clapper looks like he's trying to slap you. I like sleepy computer guy. Very appropriate..... ~snore~
  7. I've been gluten free for 7-8 years, and recently I had a dream where I was a spy, and my assignment required that I eat gluten so as not to break my cover. Yeah, you'll get used to the dreams! LOL
  8. I don't think I'm desperate enough to *cough... ahem** ok I'll just stop right there.....
  9. HAHAHAHA I inflated Santa! HAHHAHA!!!!!!!!
  10. You stated in your post that you are vegan by proxy. Have you personally made the choice to be vegan or is it just out of habit because of how you were raised? It sounds to me like your food choices are very heavy on the carby-starchy side, and getting some fat and protein in there could help balance you out and slow things down. I second the probiotic...
  11. I'm trying to figure out what happens if two people try to something at the same time. If I tell something to turn off, and someone else tells it to turn on, does it make the internet exploooode????
  12. I was in a restaurant in Atlanta and they had a smoked tomato mayonnaise for dipping french fries (french fry dipping was their thing, yay gluten-free french fries) You think you gots a recipe for that, miss? I would DEARLY love to recreate that, it was sooooo freaking good.

    ARCHIVED Aroma!

HAHAHA!!! Sometimes I go all out and roast garlic bulbs and let them cool and spread the soft garlic with oil and melted butter all over the baguette before I lightly toast it..... So, off to the store on the morrow!
  14. I vote chicken- easier to control your sources and get organic. Also cheaper for the good stuff and less problems in general with allergies/intolerances to chicken.
  15. I'm not sure if this counts as a 'replacement' food, but when I don't feel good I like Kettle Cuisine's chicken noodle soup. It's just rice noodles instead of regular, so no weird stuff that winds up in baked goods that might make you feel sick. Also, I like to make my own chicken noodle soup, which of course is always better than any store-bought...
  16. Insane 'Town' Posse?
  17. I definitely get more fun out of finding that exact right thing for someone else. A friend of mine is also obsessed with giraffes, and I found a beautiful figurine at a consignment shop once that matched and elephant next to it, and said friend's mother ADORES elephants. So they got perfect matching favorite animals. I made her cry. Score....
  18. Oh yeah, cuz the girl in the photo is just all kinds of chunky...
  19. I'm sure if you make your husband squeal in any way, he will consider it a gift. Sooooo anyhoo! I think the gift I've gotten most excited about is actually something a little silly, but still. My grandmother makes needlepoint squares that spell out 'Merry Christmas' that are looped together that you hang over your mantel or on a wall somewhere...
  20. Shroomie, I swear you never cease to amuse me with your music choices. Chop Suey- System of a Down
  21. No comment.
  22. I'd love to see that show. Generally, thermography is never intended as a replacement for mammograms, it is intended to be supplemental, or helpful in cases where a woman is too young for accurate mammograms, like myself. It would likely be used in conjunction with ultrasound for someone like me, until I reach an age where mammograms would be effective...
  23. Hahaha, my mother now calls me for cooking advice. That is not how I had imagined our role reversal would start! (men- warning! girl talk follows!) Love2, I have to go next week for further testing on an abnormal Pap that came back. I am also ordering myself not to freak out! Hard, isn't it? I'm only 28, but there is so very much cancer in...
