  1. Alfredo Sauce (sorry not calorie friendly but excellent) 16 oz sour cream Juice of half a lemon
  2. The only thing I haven't found to eat that isn't gluten-free is a phyllo dough. I'm not interested in making myself so I'll just wait until someone makes it frozen. Other wise I have found replacements for everything I enjoy. I'm gluten-free and the cook so my kitchen is gluten free. If you eat at my house you eat gluten free. I have yet to have anyone...
  3. You should be able to find out something from the place that featured this gluten-free weekend event. Open Original Shared Link
  4. I would file a report about them with the BBB. The more complaints places get the happier resturants will be to alter how they serve their food. For USA and Canada: Open Original Shared Link
  5. I have had these when I visited Oslo. We asked for the broken pieces at the bakery since that was less expensive. It was excellent. At the time I wasn't eating gluten-free so I didn't know it was! It make a very pretty cake. Making all the circles is a little time consuming but well worth the effort. Open Original Shared Link

  7. Please share your doctors name in a topic with you town and state so others can make an appointment. It's rare to find a doctor who understand celiac! Each patient can determine what tests they want done according to their way of thinking.
  8. Here's your answer. I just email my questions to them. Since things can change so often it good every now and then to ask again. So to be safe just buy the Salt Free one. 10. IMO: As soon as the medical field can genetically alter my digestion system then my body will be able to process all the genetically altered food.
  11. Home Testing Results The cinnamon chex does make me sleepy but not the Honey nut or the plain Rice Chex. All boxes were labeled gluten-free on the front. I tried just the cinnamon and also mixing the cinnamon with the plain rice: always was extremely fatigued within 30 minutes. I tried just the honey nut and then mixing it with plain rice and tried...
  12. I buy the ones offered at Wal-Mart. I do peel off the skin but I've never had a problem. I know at my Wal-Mart they will go check the ingredients listed for me on anything I buy in the deli.
  13. I am so proud of you for standing up for yourself. I think you will find that this will be a building block that will help you all your life! I hope the paper will let you share your story with this board. RESO, the "d" can stand for all of those (or others) depending on how well you like the person that day. lol usually stands for "darling" in my circle...
  14. Yes, I say go with the Bento boxes too.
  15. The last of the cinnamon chex was eaten today. I'll eat just the Honey nut for the next two days to see if I get worn out. Then I'll try eating just the Rice Chex. I usually mix a box of each together because I'm not a fan of sweetened cereal. I always have some protein with my cereal so I'll try to keep on the same routine over the next week.
  16. I've brushed my teeth with Hydrogen Peroxide and baking soda for over 30 years without any ill effects. Usually when I go to the dentist they always say something about my health gums. But I certainly wouldn't want to drink it.
  17. What a great photo. My first thought for a title was "Dog Gone Scrapbooking". I just refuse to see the Christmas gifts.
  18. Years ago (many many) I breast fed both my little ones. I eat healthy from all the food groups with whole grains. Both kids had horrible diarrhea that would run out of their pampers and drip all over. I carried extra clothes for baby and myself. They also spit up all the time. So both kids were reacting to the gluten I was eating since they were not getting...
  19. Just send them a pleasant note by certified mail that you will be holding them legally responsible for any medical problems you may have from eating in their mandatory food program. Make sure to include the doctors letter. CC it to the president and/or administrator of the school. I think they may reconsider your case. It sounds like they didn't read what...
  20. Glad to see the article but not so glad to see the "diaherra and losing weight" as the symptoms.
  21. I'm sure soy will work. Soy Evaporated Milk recipe here: http://www.godairyfree.org/Recipes/Milk-Su...-Recipes-I.html
  22. When this topic of problems with the Cinnamon Chex posted I thought to myself, "well, they don't bother me". But then I got to thinking I'd only eaten the Rice and Honey Nut gluten-free cereal. So last week, being out of cereal, I pull out the Cinnamon Chex that said gluten free across the front. I've eaten it three different times within the last week...
