				ARCHIVED Fried Green Tomatoes
purple replied to GRUMP 1's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
As for what to do with them... I made green tomato salsa with a variety of peppers/onions...really good. I put mine in a box, covered them with newspaper (you can wrap individually) then put the boxes in a cold spare bedroom. I get a few each week. When they start to turn red I put them in the kitchen. If you get too many red ones, just wash them and... -

ARCHIVED Best Way To Freeze Foods
purple replied to MKat's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I usually wrap like you do but also put the bag in a freezer bag, then I reuse the outer freezer bags. Or I wrap and put the bags into plastic containers. Depends on what I freeze. Containers stack up while bags fall and are not flat. You can recycle your plastic. Cool whip or larger yogurt containers are mostly what I have on hand. If you buy any be sure... -

purple replied to jello5's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Yesterday I made my dd english muffin mini pizzas. She likes refried beans on hers with olives, jalapenos and pineapple. The recipe is easy, I fold over tin foil for the rings and store them in a plastic bag to reuse a few times. Shes 18 but I had fun making a smiley face with the olives and pineapple...lol.
