  2. Indeed...I used to make flour once in awhile but they turn to mush too easily.. ...must be the lack of access to the Flux Capacitor or a Tardis
  3. hmmmm...that looks a bit messy...well that is the way we cook...throwing bits of whole food together.....let me know if you can't replicate and I'll try to clean it up a bit. Still have dif kids grabbing instruments down below me --- so I am in heaven!!!
  4. Oh boy...late to the party..... BEST ENCHILADAs EVER and ya we've been eating them awhile in this neck of the woods.... Any left over steak, pork, chicken...or make sure you bake a few thighs to have meat! 5. You are correct...weight doesn't show the whole picture...I dropped about 45 pounds over the past 4 years...most came off the first year and a half gluten-free -- the last ten has come off slowly -- but here is the thing -- during this last ten I look like I lost much more than the larger weight loss as I no longer am swollen everywhere. Inflammation is...
  6. Forgot from my earlier post -- I did get Almonds back last Fall Still can't do any other nut or seed -- but Almonds are great...I snack on them grind them for flour and grind them more for almond butter.
  7. Yep....I completely understand your frustration! I also think you are doing the next best thing by strictly removing gluten. Hang in there...and come vent here anytime --- you are sure to find many of us have been there and simply wish others were not walking similar paths. Here is another HUGE electronic hug for you

  11. Made it to fireworks -- up on the rooftop...we can see several coast displays...IF the smoke gets blown out to sea -- ah ya -- this is kinda like ol' puxatony phil -- the smoke rarely gets blown out to sea -- yet to be up on the roof while my men are trying not to blow injure themselves with short fused fire crackers is something I have missed these past...
  12. Hey...miss a couple days and miss important intel! Drinks in Ireland with Gem and DS....can I tag along???? On a serious note...I did read the thread and strongly second Gemini....you know your body better than any doctor. Keep a symptom log....anything serious...go to the doctor...they chased me away far too many times...never again. I know better...
  13. My grandson is 5...gluten-free for over three years...when he has run into gluten at school...sudden D comes back....horrible for these kids when they can't prevent
  14. Welcome Lasse! I think I understand what you are saying. Here is what I would suggest to one of my kids.... Keep eating what you know to be "clean" foods for you for a bit more time. Then try ONE of the foods you would like back....since you see results in the skin I suggest eating the item -- let's say rice for a few days and then wait at...
  15. I think you have answered your own question. While removing grains you feel better. Up to you. Life is so much better when your body is functioning properly. I do not recall if you were ever tested for Celiac Disease -- to me -- it does not matter. You have found you are healthier without grains which likely means you should remove all gluten. ...
  16. Kinda cool. More importantly - IMO - researchers are putting gliadin in petri dishes!!!! I am looking forward to the day when we find a solid way to test a person for Celiac Disease by placing their samples in a petri dish rather than waiting to see if more symptoms arise in hopes that they will test positive to the currently available testing options....
  17. Our family loves....Udi's, Canyon Bakehouse and Glutino. If you are new to gluten-free breads...may I suggest -- trying to toast Udi's before you toss it? There is always baking your own -- we did in my early days as we could not afford Udi's for a family with multiple celiacs. Thankfully....prices have come down a bit.
  18. Peachy dessert changed to easy pineapple upside down as I had a pineapple committing suicide on my porch....tomorrow something peachy. Enchiladas still on...hoping Ill make it to fireworks....all this floating made me sleepy....enjoy for me East Coast peeps!
  19. Sounds yummy...what is Cheezely? Ah ya...on the silly kindle and quote didn't quote and spell correct is messing with me as per usual.....the yummy was directed to CDwM's yummy post.
  20. Hootenanny across the Pond....I am in...can we invite royalty? Perhaps we should send the formal invites after Independance Day The floating with wine is doing wonders today....I am staying put until fireworks
  21. Id vote for the coloring....one of my sons does cocoa pebbles find and bloats up with fruity.
  22. We use racks -- my honey doesn't mind them being touching...but i have a teeny tiny space between every jar when i do it. then steamer racks in between layers....works great with fish because you have to do it for some time and it is a stinky event -- finally learned to do it outside on the burner attached to our bbq a few years back --- much more better
