  2. I think Adelle has a very good kit....Some other foods are some gluten-free freeze- dried goods. Like the ice cream for snacking ( freeze-dried of couse) Costco's & Sam's also carry cans of meats, turkey, chicken, roast beef & wild alaskan salmon that are long keepers. Another is dinty moore beef stew, which can be heated over an open fire by pouring...
  3. I'm soooo excited !!!! I bought a bottle of raspberry Kombucha tea from Whole Foods last week.... I made two servings out of it & I've went to potty both times I drank it.... Claims states it good for all kinds of things but maybe I found a non-drug type thing for my big C......it is made from a fermented mushroom... mamaw

Mag Citrate stays in the bowel the longest so it is the good one for the big C so a dozen doctors told me. Before going to the ER I took two Fleets enemas with no luck plus ^ mag citrate...
  7. We eat gluten-free oats daily for about a year now. I would not recommend eating them if you are new to the gluten-free way of eating. I think one should be on the gluten-free diet for at least two years before adding oats (gluten-free). I think Cream Hill Estates is the best.... No one can really say if you will have a reaction--- I've had reactions to...
  8. I don't claim to know much about MS but I just met a woman in her40's with rapidly ongoing MS. She told me she was in a study with a large hospial. Taking steroids , & many new drugs to slow down her MS....At the end of her story she told me the doctors that tend to this trial & error group told her she probably would live another 20 years with...
  9. Hello & Welcome I usually use my regular recipes (wheat flour ones) & just use the gluten-free flour blend from Annalise Roberts cookbook. I never have a flop with it. By the way her cookbook is wonderful, worth every penny. There are many recipes in this section & you can spend months looking them up. I also buy the Betty Hageman four...
  10. Cross-contamination!!!!!! is what is wrong with Quaker oats or any main stream ones. There are several companies that now sell oats that are safe. Lara's oats from Canada are good & my fav. Also the gluten-free oat co. fron Powell, Wy sells them. mamaw
  11. I know I will not be attending because of my poor health at the present time...plus I live near Pittsburgh so I would need to add the cost of an overnight stay ,gas at $3 bucks a gallon . It does sound like alot of fun & of course to meet others too...... I don't know about the recipe cards as that was not addressed in the feed-back I received from...

  13. If you don't want to make these from scratch I have heard there are ready made ones that are gluten-free. I think if you goggle Noah's soft gluten-free pretzels. I don't know if they ship out yet.
  14. I read the info from the website. It appears that for $50.00 you get to watch & cheer on your favorite doctors or area chefs. Get a cookbook & that's it. I did e-mail the group to ask if any gluten-free food would be available for the attendees.... I'll post my findings as soon as I hear from them.... It looks like a fundraiser for the group.....

  21. I agree with the other posters..... one thing I might add is if you are gonna eat oats (only the gluten-free ones) start out very slowly.... A quarter cup to a half cup to begin with. I still only eat this amount at one sitting & I have been eating them since they came out.... I still can't believe I missed oats!!!! Must be part horse,,,,,,,,,,,,nayyyyyyyyy...
  22. Boy, did I get blasted from the endo doc!!!! He is a very strong advocate of synthoid & nothing else. I asked or mentioned armour & he blew his top & stated in a stern voice that it should be removed from the market immediately.. He is very mainstream & hates alternative docs or ideas. I just keep telling him that there is a place for both...
