ARCHIVED Heres My Neg. Endo. Path Report

That might be GERd but it doesn't mention a hernia. Is there more to this? Where are the multiple intestinal biopsies? Didn't they take any? -
You are replying to a 3 year old thread. Ingredients may have changed. Not everything that is gluten-free says " gluten-free" on it. If you only eat things labelled gluten-free, you are missing a lot of fruits, veggies, rice, meats, etc.

ARCHIVED Safe Sunflower Oil
kareng replied to seraphim's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
If you look hard enough, you find people with a "reaction" to anything. It could be the product, it could be what they cooked in the oil, it could be the gluteny colander they drained the food in, it could be last nights dinner. If you think you are so sensitive that the fact that a company uses a distilled vinegar ( which is gluten-free)in a different... -
ARCHIVED Safe Sunflower Oil
kareng replied to seraphim's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
That's the mayo not the oil....but OK. I guess you will have to look for another oil. That's the one I know. Not sure if you have an olive oil store where you live? Ours has other types of oil, maybe that would work? -
ARCHIVED Safe Sunflower Oil
kareng replied to seraphim's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The mayos all say gluten-free. I doubt they have rye in them. I'm not sure what distilled alcohol has to do with sunflower oil? Open Original Shared Link Really...these seem very safe for people with Celiac disease. They probably don't make mayo and oils on the same machinery, maybe even a different factory. But if you are that worried about... -

ARCHIVED Dandy Blend Coffee Substitute
kareng replied to Ciel121's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I looked at it.....I wouldn't use it. Maybe its safe but I think its easy to avoid this product. If I have to chance something, it would be a medication I REALLY needed for a short time....not a beverage. -

ARCHIVED Trying To Wait Patiently
kareng replied to greenbeanie's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Call again. You know they have the results. Get them to send a copy of the genetic tests and the other tests, if you don't have them. They may be able to email them if the records are eletronic. Your not annoying the doctor. They may have missed the results or thought they had already called you. -
ARCHIVED Wheat Grass
kareng replied to Ciel121's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ken works with plants for his business. So, if he doesn't think its safe.....that's good enough for me! -
Eating out is always risky,. Chik Fil A is one of the better fast food places for a Celiac to eat. You are new to the diet and your gut is healing. When I first started, anything vinegary hurt. Heinz ketchup is gluten-free. Not sure if the sweet tea is sugar or a diet sweetener? Some of them give me the same bloating, etc as gluten.

That picture is completely different than : "The fridge is full of goods all with Gluten" There really isn't anything much to eat in that one. I don't see a bunch of gluten in there. I guess I would eat the cheese, maybe the lettuce if there is a little salad dressing. Looks like there might be a couple of potatoes? Could microwave them...

ARCHIVED New Here, Not New To gluten-free, But Ready To Eat gluten-free...please Don't Judge!

Get tested. If its positive, that might give you more reason to eat gluten-free. -
ARCHIVED Possible Celiac? Questions To Ask Doctor.
kareng replied to Jessi81's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I'm sorry about the miscarriages. That is horrible. You might want to take a few easy to read things to your doctor. Make sure they are from reliable sources (and that prints) like a medical facility. Maybe highlight the part about miscarriages. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link -

ARCHIVED Does Gluten Exposure Start Your Period? Help!
kareng replied to larissav's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I think we always want to jump to a problem being caused by gluten but it just isn't always gluten's fault. 3 months on new Oral Contraceptives - 3 months of longer periods .... I wouldn't jump to that being a gluten issue. -
ARCHIVED Wheat Grass
kareng replied to Ciel121's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I guess that technically wheat grass is the "grass" part so it would have no gluten. The gluten is in the seed part. The problem, in my mind, is that it is really hard to be certain there are no seeds in that grass. -

I'm not a fan of the flavor syrups, but most are gluten-free. You have to read the labels. I get lattes and iced coffees at Starbucks, often.

You mean the chicken was gluten-free a week ago! Psilly me! I thought you said the post was and I kept looking and looking.... I have been meaning to get that chicken. It would be sooo good in recipes, I'm thinking.
