  1. I hear ya, Suzanna. I think a lot of us miss our old gluteny bread...and that seems to be difficult to replicate, try as we may. I'm not sure I really recall exactly what it tastes like as it's been a long while. Have you tried making gluten-free pizza yet...that is one thing I've gotten pretty good at. The cookies will probably be easier than bread and...
  2. I highly doubt there's gluten in canned tuna...FWIW, many times it does contain soy (either soy or soybean oil), which some people cannot tolerate.
  3. Please be aware that this is a very old thread and ingredients in products from 2007 might have changed.
  4. I haven't found a Larabar flavor I liked yet so have also been disappointed. But I do like Kind bars.
  5. Please note that this is a very old thread and it's highly unlikely that Jujbe will see your post.
  6. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on doing so well on your diet that all your little villi have grown back!!! But why, oh why, would you want to even think of adding gluten back into your diet when it's taken you six years to get to where you are today? Once a celiac, always a celiac...so we need to be gluten-free for life.
  7. Glad you had success with that pizza crust, Marc! Yes, it is indeed sticky. I've found it works better to just use wet fingertips to spread the batter rather than olive oil. What kind of toppings did you put on it? If you added veggies, did you saut
  8. It started as such a beautiful September day. The skies were so intensely blue with bright sunshine and warm temps. Perfect. My new puppy was about 9-weeks old. She was lying on the floor sleeping and I was on my computer. And then the phone rang. It was my daughter-in-law calling me from work, which was unusual. She asked me if I had the TV on. Well, no...
  9. ...Maybe with some light olive oil (or another light tasting oil).
  10. Did you use a Land O Lakes recipe by any chance? I just stuck a loaf of bread in the oven that called for two rises. Open Original Shared Link I've been wanting to make it for a long while. Of course, I have no clue what it will look like when I take it's baked.
  11. Is this the recipe? Open Original Shared Link I've been wanting to try it but haven't yet gotten around to it. It's unusual that it calls for two rises and the only other website I've found that specifies that is King Arthur. I'm in a bread baking mood today.
  12. This is a very old thread and it's likely the original posters aren't even active on the forum any more so it's doubtful they will even see your post.
  13. Welcome, Cougie! I had a hard time figuring out the signature thingy, too. On the left side above the place where you added your avatar, there's a place that says "Change Signature". Click on it and a box will appear that looks about the same as when you type a post to the forum. Put the info in there that you wish and *hopefully* the directions I'm giving...
  14. Only you and the mods can see any warnings that might have been issued. You have none, so relax. I don't see that you have done anything wrong. ETA: If you had a warning, it would show up as a green bar in the "Warn Status" area and you would have been notified exactly why the warning was issued.
  15. I have used Unscented Mitchum for many years...no problems with it so I'll keep using it.
  16. Maybe those flourless peanut butter cookies should be chilled before baking ???
  17. I'd be concerned about getting every speck of gluten out of it. Don't know if an air pressure hose would be able to do that plus washing the parts that you could get at...after which even thought of running a few pounds of cheap white rice through it (not to be used by you, of course). Hopefully someone will pop in here to let you know if they were...
  18. What a heart warming story, Raven! She was meant to be yours. You have a lot of love to give and I bet she does, too. I also have a Maggie...a 10-year old golden retriever/yellow lab mix that I got when she was 8 weeks old. I can't bear to think of the time I will lose her. My Maggie hated her crate right away, too. When she was little, I used to...
  19. Personally I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
  20. I thought barley was barley. Can't imagine how there is such a thing as gluten-free barley.
  21. Holy cow!!! You are really short on space! Hang onto that mixer so it doesn't end up on the floor!!!
  22. King Arthur Flour has just added golden flax seed and flax seed meal. Open Original Shared Link Certified gluten-free but I'm not sure about organic.
  23. I did without for soooooo long!!!
  24. I bet you were really cute! And does that space hold your new mixer, too? Bummer about the bread...it's always good the first day and then the second day it usually does taste gluten-free. Maybe one of these days we'll come up with a real winner. I'm waiting and waiting and waiting. Did you try freezing the bread? I usually slice it and then...
