  2. your doctor can test you for celiac, but you have to continue to eat gluten for the testing to be accurate. many of your symptoms could be attributed to celiac/ngci, but they could also be symptoms of other things. i hope you find some answers

  6. i used flour and starch - but i cook like the swedish chef: herdy deredy derrdy herr - brown rice flour, tapioca starch, the rest of a box of hodgson mill ap baking mix, some potato starch, s&p, garlic powder, paprika (dip in egg, then flour, let it sit for a little bit to goo up, then egg and flour again) herrdy derr lolz throw salt over shoulder....

  10. yup - sorry! it was three bakers brand rye style (with caraway seeds) gluten free - i got it at kroger. somebody asked me how it was - it was frozen, then i baked it to thaw it, then i loaded it up with thousand island dressing, sauerkraut, corned beef and swiss. then i pan fried it. so, for that particular application, it was good and 'held up' <...

  12. i have a combination one from walgreens that is probiotic plus digestive enzymes that i take with food (because of the enzymes) it just says to take it once per day so it's my lunch meal enzyme. then culturelle at night before i go to bed and just enzymes with breakfast, supper and snacks. it's a wierd combination, i know, but it is working great it...

  19. how about don't go because if it is a difficult situation and even if you aren't imprisoned, if you eat the wrong thing or nothing safe is available, you become in instant burden. so, the people you are going to supposedly help have a sick person to care for? i am a Christian and would not consider dragging down a mission group. truth. if imprisoned...

  22. gosh! that is alot going on! i hope you get settled soon. when i get glutened, it lasts for about 2 weeks. headache, fatigue, muscle pain, the big D, the works. i guess since it's systemic the gluten affects your whole body so it takes time to work it's way out. i usually drink a ton of water and (you are already soaking) take long showers. i like...
  23. i actually do that - the little kids think it's a symbol for 'gluten free' hahahaa (they can't read yet) across: my bff does that hand in my snack bag thing allllll the time. my solution is to get one for her, too. if i buy chips, i get 2 bags. if i buy lunchmeat, i have them divide it in half and mark my bag (yes, skull & crossbones ) before...
  24. i use udi's and am resigned to the fact that i will *never* find the perfect (nj substitute) pizza but i also use the udi's for a gyro crust (instead of pita, i cut it in half and load it up and fold it) also, i am craving a calzone - there has got to be a way to fold that sucker to fake a calzone crust.... i don't like it 'tapioca-y' either. ...
