I learned that gyros are gluten-free on this site, and the meat is quite easy to make at home. It's not to difficult to make your own gluten-free meatballs (or loaf). Speaking of which, even though I had uncontrollable D before all this happened, the multi-vitamin with iron made me have C. I really like cumin for an iron source. You can make it in flat breads or tea or grind it up in a bread mix. It's good and good for you, and has been used for centuries. -

My neuro stressed the importance of exercise too. I don't work out like I used to, but if I'm brushing my teeth in the morning and I feel pretty good, I get in some squats. I appreciate this thread because I've been wondering about whether or not to get one. I'd be more interested in a "morning after" recovery pill for when there are pitfalls, but I don't reckon that's going to happen. I associate gluten with poison, so I wouldn't be interested in taking a pill that will allow me to poison myself without side effects. -

Hi Apple, welcome to the forum...your knives and forks should be just fine after going through the dishwasher. Some of us prefer to have gluten-free households, some get by just fine by being careful (even if they don't have a dishwasher.) It's more important to get rid of the gluten protein that might be lurking in your kitchen, like in your silverware... -

Regarding dairy, it wasn't a lactose intolerance in my situation, but of course that doesn't mean that we'll have similar reactions. I had to avoid the casein protein. Hi Gfh, Another couple of foods to look out for if you feel rotten is corn and soy. Soy is in mayo, most vitamins and vegetable oil, practically all processed foods (even tuna). I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but I like the rice wine vinegar from oriental stores, not sure if Wal-M sells it. It is really tasty in salad dressings or as a substitute for wine in recipes I've tried. Wish you well, hope you feel better tomorrow!

I checked every ingredient in the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser again today and it appears to be gluten-free.

Yikes. I'm just using the cetaphil gentle cleanser soap, which I thought was safe. Should I 86 the cetaphil? The derm. told me I didn't have DH, and mentioned he's only seen it about four times. Thanks for all of the great advice. IfI shouldn't use cetaphil as a facial cleanser, I'd be grateful for recommendations on something safer. Thanks...
