Check out Pilgrams Pride online they show their ingredients so you can confirm it's gluten free. All their bottles are buy one get one free and I think they are much cheaper than any vitamin store/health food store in my area. I too am rather broke so I've been bargain hunting.
  4. Hi there! Just checking in to see how you are doing! Cheers, Irish

  5. Congratulations! I had similar issues and have not noticed any problems of this nature in the past couple months. (gluten-free since November 2nd 2010) So glad to be free of this and the brain fog!
  6. I am certain we all make mistakes like that one. Currently I'm kicking myself for letting someone else do the grocery shopping.
  7. I too have neurological issues with gluten. It isn't worth it to me to take any chances when I think something might be cross contaminated so I would never consider eating something filled with gluten. Observers may not necessarily see the damage done to us but it still happens and as was pointed out by another poster it can kill. Katz Gluten free...
  8. ROTFLOL Wheat would be classier but a donut would be hilarious.
  9. I've always wanted a phoenix myself. It is an excellent choice. Rebirth, rising from the ashes.
  10. Hey, I haven't had any gluten nightmares in awhile either! I usually dream I have something gluten free like say gluten-free cupcakes and someone unthinking swaps it for the gluten version. I realize it just after swallowing a bite. It's not easy being a label watch dog. I made the mistake of letting my dad buy the groceries without me and as soon...
  11. I think it's a great idea. Ravenwood is very wise in her suggestions. I myself have a "tramp stamp" which in my case is the definition of false advertising. I get upset when people judge others on there appearance so I find it amusing to have a "tramp stamp" except.....on rare occasions when creepy people see it and make rude (lewd) comments. That really...
  12. I'm taking all the vitamins Cyberprof suggested. Pilgrims Pride lits gluten free and wheat free on all of the vitamins I looked at when I was shopping online.
  13. CC is a distinct possibility. The first two times it happened I was pretty sure I had been CC'ed the last 2 times I've been clueless what could have gotten me. Of course I work at Home Depot so I'm exposed to dry wall dust and wheat straw on a regular basis. Also my dogs still eat gluten so I may be getting my self with the dog food. My Dr put me on ...
  14. Several times in the past 2 weeks now I've had a feeling of not wanting to be doing anything. Today I've tried twice to take a nap and I can't sleep. It's a feeling as though it's alarming to go do something. And I don't feel like doing anything, I just want to lie down. I don't like this feeling and it's making me feel pressured and panicked about doing...
  15. I'm 36 and went gluten free November last year. I too am still having issues. I gave up Milk in December. I had been assuming it was because my villi weren't healed yet but after reading the other responses I'm starting to wonder. The thing is I usually get migraines from gluten so I think I can rule out CC as a cause for me.
  16. I'd toss all plastic. It might be best to let the roommates have the cooker and get yourself a new one.
  17. I cleaned my house when I got my energy back too. I found a stack of mail that had dates going back two years sitting in a spot where I'd placed it until I felt like sorting it! Glad you're feeling better. Keep up the good work. PS I hope it goes well with the soy.
  18. Depends on the situation. I work at Home Depot and a couple days ago I walked into a room that had wheat straw all over the floor. Yes I know I wasn't eating it but I didn't want it near me at all. I needed to do something on the other side of the room. Thankfully a co-worker was there so I said, "I have an extreme wheat allergy can you take this over...
  19. I would buy it! It would be great if more people were educated. It would save lives if people were educated!
  20. thanks for adding me to your friends list! Hope you continue to feel better and better!! Cheers, Irish

  21. That is exactly how my calves felt. Thank you for phrasing it the way you did. Yay, I'm not insane! I feel better now, I'm 4 months gluten free. I know my gut isn't entirely healed yet but I do feel an awful lot better. I hope your symptoms all lighten up and go away soon.
  22. I had that spaced out feeling for years. Thankfully mine is gone now that I've been gluten free. I hope yours passes soon. One of my friends thought a picture of me with my new natural hair color was a photo of my mom (she's in her 70's I'm in my 30's). Another friend said, "When are you going to dye your hair again, you look old?" Oh well at...
  23. Going to get Food Inc tonight. Thanks for the recommendations.
  24. I'm not sure but I think I can narrow it down. In September 2001 there were 3 events that made me very upset all in a one week period. First my constant feline companion. my beloved Billie Jean passed away suddenly of Liver failure. I felt I had failed her. Then one week later was September 11th. The next day my best friend's mother died suddenly. I was the...
  25. Well I don't have the same problem but....before going gluten free when I was early in the stages of migraine sometimes my calves would hurt when touched. I'd wake up lying on my side and my calves felt very sensitive touching each other. My way of describing it may not make much sense but it felt like the flesh was wrapped in tight cling film instead of...
