ARCHIVED Cranberry Juice, Vitamin Supplements, tofu (And More)
IrishHeart replied to nodrog's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Why do you use " " around the word "celiacs"?? just curious. Ok, here is what I saw in this Pub Med article: " The aim of this study was to evaluate whether rectal challenge with gluten would trigger an increased local production of the gas nitric oxide (NO), a novel marker of intestinal inflammation" "20 patients with treated coeliac disease... -

I am afraid I have to disagree with you, strongly on this one (and I will get to the erroneous statement about wheat paste and wine later maybe ) . Dr. Guandalini of the Univ.of Chicago Celiac Center has written an article in the book Real Life With Celiac Disease by Melinda Dennis and Daniel Leffler about probiotics and their usefulness in treating... -
The wonderful man from Custom probiotics tells people to take them on an empty stomach. First thing in the morning or at bed time. One a day is sufficient, unless you have really bad D? (take 2 until you get it under control) or gastroenteritis. I had "the flu" last February. Just horrid. I have not been sick like that in years. fever, no appetite...

You can do it, hon! If you need suggestions for lunch...there is actually a "what did you have for lunch today" Thread! and I gave a few suggestions in this thread too https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/ plus, the easiest thing is to make extra dinner portions and bring that for lunch. Best wishes to you! hang in there... -

Meanwhile, your friend Irish was crying like a baby over that stupid chipmunk who ( & the hubs has pointed this out 47 times) is probably fine,.if he scampered off, I must have gotten him loose enough. Thanks, Ski for the extra hugs via email. I get very emotional about wounded animals, regardless of their place on the food chain. I even take bugs... -

You are so right.!...I may have misinterpreted the meaning of that sentence, thanks!! It can be read two ways, however, and commas go a long way in changing the meaning. If you read it, you will see what I mean. So sorry Kay dee!!....At first, I took it this way:. Now that I am gluten free for the most part (,).....I feel great. not Now... -
ARCHIVED Can Someone Maybe Shed Some Light On My Symptoms?
IrishHeart replied to answerseeker's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I had vitreous detachment and floaters in both eyes within months and I am not "over 65." Do I think they are related to gluten intolerance? heck, yes.! Your symptoms seem like gluten intolerance to me. And yes, it would subject you to allergies as well. In the absence of positive blood test and positive biopsy, you may well have NCGS It is equally... -

(1) "Now that I'm gluten free for the most part" hon, are you a celiac? you have to be G F 100% It's not a "the body recognizes it because it was gone".... It's the body recognizes it because it is poison! whenever it gets it. (2) My guess is yes! " gluten found its way in." How about you stop eating out for lunch every day and prepare your... -
Not entirely "flushed down the toilet", hon! ..Any leafy greens you eat are doing great work! Just because you "see some of them" does not mean you are not absorbing a great deal of them!! Keep eating them. Do not worry if you "see them" okay? Cukes are a good source of Vit K. too . Kiddo, try the shredded coconut before the nuts. wait a week in between...

I think that book is pretty fantastic too. Full of great info. You are pretty early in the healing phase, so your bowels are still a bit wonky. I think the custom probiotics will help you immensely. I was in dire shape when Dxed and they have really "righted the ship" for me. My 12 years of so-called "IBS"...history. Digestive enzymes are necessary...

I a happy ending!! I haven't had gum in a few years. Liked to blow big ole bubbles!!! My dentist yelled at me. Can't have any fun..

Culturelle has lactobacillis GG in it--which is great for diarrhea. If you do not suffer D, you do not need that one. Any other multi -strain probiotic with bifidobacteria in it will cover all the bases. I use this one Open Original Shared Link On the Align website FAQ section: When did you remove the language "this product does not contain...

Here's one for you....I go outside to rescue a chipmunk who has caught himself up in the netting around the blueberry bushes that is there to keep the birds away. He has gotten the netting wrapped around his neck and his legs--like he is hogtied. And he is squealing like mad. I go back inside, grab scissors & run (I know, I know ) and get him... -

IrishHeart replied to seraphim's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
This is almost exactly what I have been suggesting to you as well, right? I sincerely hope you understand what all of us have been telling you for so long and that you relax and stop questioning "what ELSE could it be?" and just eat whole, nutritious foods and get well. It's what many of us with multiple food intolerances have done and we're all much... -
