  1. Beans could be causing her trouble, or corn. Corn is a more frequent offender around here. Sorry she had such a hard night. Digestive enzymes might help her digest some foods and break them down for her intestine if it's an intolerance. Take them when she starts eating or just before.
  2. I'll post tomorrow....
  3. Yes. My son isn't gluten-free but lately he has started showing GI troubles. He tested antibody negative in Dec., we are playing the testing game too. I am testing milk with him right now. He gets sick after eating cheeseburger/fries/shake. Tonight is gluten-free and df version of all that.... He did better yesterday on lactose free ice cream. We are...
  4. I'm glad you're taking them back. I would probably risk it but I'm not as sensitive as you are. I've had cashews from shared equipment (only ones I could find) and was ok. If you would have broken out I'd hear the scream all the way in AZ.
  5. I have some small loaf pans and they are perfect for gluten-free baking. More crust!
  6. Yes, it's amazing what happens. Stuff you thought was normal. Listened to my 10 year old song the song about how he was sure his D was "normal" or just a bug. It would have given me a heart attack a few months ago, but I can deal now. That's the other thing it changes - your brain. A lot rolls off my back now, and I can deal with stress better now...
  7. I didn't know there were so many gluten-free beers out there. Hmmm...
  8. Actually, I wouldn't...since half the population can't correctly identify produce at the grocery store. They are better than most mainstream cosmetics companies on this brand. Origins is very good at using "regular" names on labels.
  9. Tonight is gluten-free cheeseburger and fries and chocolate coconut shake night...so I can see if that sends that kid screaming to the bathroom like In-n-Out.
  10. They tell you more than most. And they do say gluten-free on the website. You'll have to ask about the soy - but last I checked soy was a legume.
  11. I use my 9" most often. I've even thought of buying mini ones because it would be easier to make mini cheesecakes and freeze them since I now make 99% of all my desserts...and if a whole cake is there I'll eat the stupid thing. If you make German Apple Cakes or stuff like that you may need the bigger ones. Mine came as a set. Last time I was...
  12. It's really not a close enough picture to accurately see the lesions... But all I can really say is that DH looks different person to person. But it tends to act very similar. Is it responsive to gluten/gluten withdrawal, iodine, salicylates? Does it itch more at night than during the day? Does it itch like crazy? Does it seem to go in some sort of 2...
  13. I'm sorry to hear about your niece. Very sad news, indeed.
  14. No experience but if you washed (soap), skinned, roasted it would be the best bet? Roasting is usually done around 350, do that in itself wouldn't kill the gluten. Open Original Shared Link Have no idea if the soap will give it a flavor but if you roast them in a seasoning it may cover it?
  15. I have no idea. I got a low grade fever once with mine when the lesions got BIG.
  16. I would get all blood testing done first since you can get the doc to do it. Take that to the derm and GI. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link Personally, I think your better bet is the gi route. Her rash isn't "classic" so the derm may turn you down. I see how it could be DH (is circular and a blister is healing) but not all Derms...
  17. Tests: Open Original Shared Link As far as the rash it could be DH - the blisters degrade quickly sometimes leaving that "burned" look. You can biopsy for DH, you need a good dermatologist who has successfully done it before. It is a punch biopsy - and it would be on her face - preferably two samples. Since she is showing indications through blood work...
  18. E.l.f. Makeup is supposedly gluten-free and available @ Target. They process it on shared equipment but I'll give it a whirl.
  19. As far as the rash goes - keep it lubricated and use ice packs. If you take a pain reliever use Tylenol instead of an NSAID. Read through the DH forum for tips and see what you can do in your situation. It may not be worth trying to hold out for testing - meaning if they won't give you the appropriate testing why continue the pain?
  20. Fluid: Open Original Shared Link As far as fiber there are fiber products on the market. I don't know which ones are gluten-free, so check and see. Water helps, too. Hopefully you'll be able to eat more veggies soon.
  21. Okay, I asked if he went to the bathroom again and he said yes. Asked if it was like Sunday night or had D and he said no - regular bm's. He definitely isn't as crampy as Sunday night - not on the couch in my lap taking about how sick he is. So, tomorrow we'll try the gluten-free burger and coconut shake.
  22. I know. I understand. Been there to a lesser degree (my son couldn't do milk or soy at birth - so I had no milk or soy during bf'ing). Now it's looking like he still has a mill issue and perhaps gluten. Sigh.
