  1. Welcome to the forum, @florida2001, Have you changed her diet? Did you start the probiotics before or after the blood test was drawn? I suggest you stop the probiotics since her white blood cell count is high. Have you requested a Full Celiac panel of blood tests? These should include DGP IgA and IgG because children's immune systems are immature...
  2. Welcome to the forum, @susiegoldcoast. I must suggest quite emphatically that you cease the Hydrogen Peroxide "therapy". Taking Hydrogen Peroxide internally is very damaging to the mucosal integrity and tissues of your digestive tract. I am attaching scientific studies done with pictures that show the damage. Hydrogen peroxide fuels...
  3. 😉@Bennyboy1998, welcome to the forum, In the early stages of celiac disease, the level of antibodies may not be high enough to show up in the bloodstream. Gastritis can cause a Vitamin B12 deficiency which can result in anemia which can result in low antibody production. Intestinal damage may be sparse and microscopic and out of reach of the en...
  4. Getting a genetic test for Celiac Disease genes may be another way to appease people with doubts. Having genes for Celiac Disease and improvement on a gluten free diet is an acceptable diagnosis method. You don't have to consume gluten in order to test for Celiac Disease genes.

  7. @Hiawatha, Yes, I think you've made good decisions to try the steroids short term with check up in March, supplement with vitamins and minerals, and adjust your diet. Steroids can be useful to rein in wildly galloping immune systems. Supplementation and diet changes help provide a less inflammatory condition and promote healing. Steroids...
  8. @ItchDrivingMeCrazy and @hayley3, Very curious if either of you had a vaccination for Covid-19 prior to your rashes and itching started. I've found some interesting literature where a reactivation of certain viruses (chicken pox (shingles), herpetic viruses, Epstein-Barr virus) have been reactivated after inoculation with Covid vaccines may occur...
  9. Yes, once triggered by gluten, the immune response can last awhile. Antigluten antibodies increase with exposure to gluten and may remain for months, but they should come down without repeated exposure. The antigluten antibodies mistakenly attack our own cells. Keep us posted on your progress!
  10. Other vitamins and minerals are needed to correct iron deficiency anemia in addition to iron. Riboflavin B 2, Zinc, Thiamine B 1, Pyridoxine B 6, and Vitamin A in addition to Cobalamine B12 and Folate B9 are needed to grow new red blood cells. Consider supplementing with B Complex, Zinc and Vitamin A to correct iron deficiency anemia. It worked...
  11. Would you tell me what exactly are you eating now? Meat, veggies, fruit, low fodmap, but which ones? Dairy? Which vitamins were you taking? And how much (dosage on label)? When (every day, sporadically)? How long? Do any contain thiamine mononitrate? I understand what you're going through. There's nothing worse than feeling yourself dying...
  12. @Hiawatha, My family is the same way...😼 Not much information available about sugar and EOE may be because there's a simple solution that doesn't require pharmaceuticals.
  13. @NicJ, Your son may be used as an example of High Calorie Malnutrition. High Calorie Malnutrition occurs in people who eat a diet high in carbohydrates without sufficient Thiamine Vitamin B1 necessary for our body to turn the carbohydrates into energy fuel for the body to utilize in normal functioning. When there's insufficient Thiamine...
  14. Hello, @Hiawatha, This article explores how EOE may be connected to a thiamine insufficiency.... http://www.hormonesmatter.com/eosinophilic-esophagitis-sugar-thiamine-sensitive/
  15. I can't tolerate phenylalanine which results in tyramine excess. I avoid tyramine foods, too. So don't take Tryptophan. Take the Benfotiamine and Theanine.
  16. Hi, @lydialoo, How long have you been taking the oregano oil, ginger, and garlic? Oregano oil has the side effects of nausea, vomiting and gastrointestinal symptoms when too much is taken. Ginger has side effects of mouth and throat irritation, stomach upset, and diarrhea. Garlic can cause heartburn, gas, and diarrhea. You would...
  17. This study found that some Celiacs on a gluten free diet have fluctuating tTg IgA levels, and some have decreasing levels. Riboflavin Vitamin B2 is as important in correcting iron deficiency anemia as B12, Pyridoxine B6, and Folate B9. Riboflavin intake and status and relationship to anemia https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3601876...
  18. @hayley3, I've tried that brand, but didn't like it. It's got whole rice flour listed as an ingredient, including the rice bran. Mine smelled like the bran had gone rancid. I couldn't eat iceberg lettuce without a lot of gastrointestinal distress. I switched to Romaine lettuce. Romaine is a veggie that has thiamine! When I was down...
  19. Blood tests are NOT accurate in measuring deficiencies. Blood is a transport system! Blood levels of vitamins can reflect how much and which vitamins you absorbed from dinner yesterday. Blood levels have little to do with the amount of vitamins inside cells of the body where vitamins are actually utilized for cellular and organ functions. The...
  20. Correcting vitamin and mineral deficiencies is very important. Hypothyroidism Complicated by Vitamin C and Thiamin Deficiency in Surgical Patients https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37278003/
  21. @Kwx525, One of my doctors excused my brain fog as a type of migraine. Not 100% scientifically and technically accurate, but more acceptable to the uneducated masses and doctors clueless about Celiac. Do consider supplementing with vitamins and minerals. Subclinical deficiencies in Thiamine B1 Pyridoxine B 6, and B12 Cobalamine can help clear...
  22. I wrap half of the loaf in waxed paper, put it in a freezer safe plastic zip lock bag, and chuck it in the freezer. The rest of the loaf or several slices, I wrap in waxed paper and store in original packaging or another zip lock bag in the fridge. I can't eat a whole loaf before it goes moldy.
  23. That's sad the VA has no nutritionists available. I like the brand Life Extension Bioactive Complete B Complex, also available from there. Yes, there are some vitamins that are smelly due to the sulfur content in a few of them. I take mine as I sit down to a meal. With food behind it, there's less burping. Are you taking Vitamin D 3? Vitamin...
  24. @emma1semrad, I've experienced the same things, the anxiety, panic attacks being in public, and more. (Visit my blog for more of my story.) My doctors put me on antidepressants, but they only made everything worse. Antidepressants can worsen the inflammation and damage in the small intestine. What worked better was to correct nutritional...
