  1. Well, I keep saying one of these days I should reintroduce cheese and see what happens (it's been 7 months!!). Maybe I'll make my own on a Knickiknick english muffin? It would be close.... er, closer anyway... Funny, there's not much I miss - but this sure is one of them!
  2. What I wouldn't to for a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit...
  3. Are you doing a gluten-free diet? Is it helping?
  4. Laura - sorry, I was wrong. It is Zhenders that has the new water park. You can buy a day pass to get in and play or it's free if you spend the night. Bavaian Inn has gluten-free menu and baked goods and has 5 pools - that should keep the kids busy anyway!
  5. I find mine at the local grocery store - no special trip needed. It is SOOOOOO good. My mom and I were saying we could just eat the crust, forget the filler. If you make Lemon Meringue save me a piece I've had the Gluten Free Pantry truffle brownies too -- yummmmmy!
  6. I have to get nickel free earrings. I rarely wear other jewlery so I'm not sure how I'd react.
  7. IMO it's just not worth it for me. I freak out about a crumb on the countertop!! There are lots of other good ones out there.
  8. I like to borrow them from the library. If I really like it (like Bette Hagman's Fast & Healthy) then I'll buy it.
  9. I ordered mine from Gluten Free Pantry
  10. I notice it a lot when I'm typing - I'll type an entirely different word in place of what I meant! Also, helping my daughter with her math homework - although I'm sure some of that is the fact that I haven't done "simple" math in my head in years thanks to the calculator and computer. The last time I was glutened, I was driving home from work and before...
  11. Same story here too! I went gluten-free/DF in August and was doing great until the holidays. I did have some external stresses (huge project at my job went "live", my daughter was ill, ex-husband... blah blah blah). I don't think the holidays helped either. I was afraid to eat almost anything, even foods I knew were safe. I starved thru x-mas dinner...
  12. Again, a great Bette Hagman one and it's perfect for leftovers. I make this weekly now, and just throw in the ingredients so they may not be an exact measurement - but if you like more of one ingredient use more, or less if you prefer: Leftover chicken or turkey, chopped or shredded (I use about 1 chicken breast) cooked wild rice (I use a wild rice blend...
  13. I've also found Polar brand - just tuna, water and salt.
  14. You could try taking it at bedtime or with food if it's upsetting your stomach.
  15. I take Kariva, (generic for Mircette) it is gluten-free as well as Seasonale (made by the same company). I take it because during the off week you still get a low dose of estrogen and it helped a lot with the headaches i would get during that week.
  16. I wonder if you could make your own? Can you use any of the egg-beaters or replacers? Mayo is just eggs and oil whipped together. If you have an egg replacement, you could experiment from recipes. Maybe?
  17. I know I'd like one - I tend to be typing fast only to realize later how sloppy it looks.
  18. Judy - yes, sadly, soybean oil has always been in mayo. Until now!! You'll be happy to know that Hellmann's has a canola mayo out, I've got it right here - it's very good too. Ingredients are canola oil, water, whole eggs and egg yolks, vinegar, salt, sugar, lemon juice, natrual flavors, calcium disdium edta (used to protect quality).
  19. Go out and get a cool looking thermos. (If you're putting hot stuff in it, let the thermos sit with hot water for 10 minutes before you fill it, vice versa for cold stuff). That way she could bring safe soups or broth, gluten-free mac & cheese, noodles, etc. Or fruit salad, egg salad, etc. If she's avoiding dairy (which might be a good idea) try...
  20. I hate that my boss is a hypocrite! I hate that avacado's go off so quickly and I end up wasting half of it usually. I hate that some days I live life thru my stomach. I hate the alarm clock!!
  21. We're going there next weekend for an overnight family thing, staying at the Bavarian Inn because they just opened up a new indoor water park! The restaraunt has a gluten-free menu (another reason we're going there). I'll let you know when I get back. And I didn't know about the food fair - can you send more info? Thanks!!
  22. There's also a product out called Digestive Advantage - you take just one pill a day, you do not have to take one with every meal. The product is gluten-free - I called to verify it. I tried it a few months ago as I was retesting dairy, but still had some gas. I do play to retry it soon.
  23. The Polar tuna is just the tuna, water and salt - no oil or soy. The Progresso was just olive oil I beleive - I didn't buy it, the Polar was much cheaper.
  24. I think that's called a "cranial-rectalitis"
  25. My dad got me a Valentine's Box of chocolates from the Chocolate Emporim. It's all gluten-free, casein free, dairy free, soy free and corn free! (alas, the price is far from free but well worth it!!) Open Original Shared Link It was so nice to pick from a variety of treats in one box too! Sorry - that link was for the passover page. Which...
