I have also had the severe pelvic pain and mine was related to ovarian cysts. I usually get US (both transvaginal & abdominal) at least once per year to check to make sure that all is okay. I am also back on the pill, even with tied tubes, to help control the horrible pain, periods and cysts. I was a hormonal disaster area and losing way too much blood...

I love the Alice Springs Chicken and get it whenver I go to Outback. I have eaten the mushrooms with no ill effects and I am very sensitive.

This is the recipe that MIL uses to make gluten-free Carrot Cake. It does have eggs in the cake and dairy in the frosting, but maybe you could work that out. It really is a fantastic cake. Flour mix (this makes 2.5 cups): 1 1/4 cups white rice 1/2 cup potato starch flour 1/2 cup tapioca flour 1/8 cup cornstarch 1/8 cup brown rice Ingredients...

ARCHIVED Attention Decifit Disorder
wolfie replied to debmidge's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
My son has improved on the gluten-free diet. His Ped was evaluating him for ADD/ADHD last Spring (2006). This was the same time frame that I was trying to get DS tested for Celiac and the Ped wasn't going for it b/c I wasn't biopsy confirmed. Ped finally ran the Celiac panel, DS was highly positive, had endoscopy & was diagnosed with Celiac. We went... -
Hey Carla..... We eat at CIP every Wednesday and they had a new gluten-free menu last week. They no longer have the sweet potato chips marked gluten-free for some reason. I didn't ask why b/c I was eating fries, but my son pointed it out. May be something to check into.

I looked at a bag of these the other day and they had wheat in them. Not sure if some of the flavors are gluten-free. I just looked at a bag of the plain baked lays b/c we were at a cookout and the host had bought them. I hope you feel better soon!!! -

The crust is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside.....AHHHHHHH!!! I just stuffed my face with a ton of pizza. I did some with cheese, bacon and lettuce (kinda like a BLT) and the rest with marinara and 3 cheeses. My son ate 6+ pieces, DD ate 3! DS said it was just as good as Donato's (local pizza place) and that is HUGE coming from him!! If... -

ARCHIVED Trader Joe's Flourless Chocolate Cake
wolfie posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
The ingredients all look gluten-free, but there is the warning that it is made in a plant that processes wheat, etc. I don't have Trader Joe's gluten-free list anymore and can't find it online. Just wondering if anyone here has tried it. -
ARCHIVED Just Returned From The Gi With Blood Work Results
wolfie replied to samor's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My DD's Ped GI told us that bloodwork can be neg, biopsy can be neg and you can still have Celiac. The best indicator is the gluten-free diet. If you feel better gluten-free, then stay on the diet. -

ARCHIVED Could Pregnancy Have "triggered" Celiac?
wolfie replied to maddycat's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I had minor stomach issues during a lot of my life (constipation, gas), but really seemed to get worse after the birth of my children. I was told I had IBS after my son was born and to stay away from the foods that bothered me. Then 6 years later I had DD and my stomach problems got a lot worse. Unexplained diarrhea, not frequent, but enough to make me... -
ARCHIVED Had A Great Meal Last Night At Smokey Bones!
wolfie posted a topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Last night we went out with some friends to Smokey Bones and had a great gluten-free meal!! They don't have a menu online, but can print one out for you there. My server didn't know what I was talking about, so I asked him to ask the manager. He was then very helpful. Not only are their BBQ sauces gluten-free, but most of their sides are gluten-free too... -
ARCHIVED Help! Need Good Pasta
wolfie replied to Dawnsister's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Another vote for Tinkyada. I have served it many times to friends and family who aren't gluten-free and no one has known any different. Another good one is Bi-Aglut. I can only find it occasionally at our local health food store and it is extremely $$$. It is even better than real pasta IMO, but for as good as the Tinkyada is, I can't justify the...
