  1. Wow, I'll have to go see if I can see what that is!! Sounds fun!!
  2. Thanks Patty! Yes, it's been nice to get some rice back. She is enjoying the Tinkyada pasta. I am going to pick up some rice flour sometime to try that out occasionally. OBXMom, yes, she is a very happy, independent, very smart, and getting healthy girl!! We've come a very long way from that fussy, itchy baby we started out with. Unfortunately...
  3. It's fun to read everyone's stories! My daughter has had a long journey to being healthy, going gluten-free in October 2005 was one of the last pieces of her puzzle. I still think there is a bit more going on, but the change is incredible. When I brought Carleigh home from the hospital, I knew that there was something not quite right. Her skin was...
  4. Wow, I didn't realize that GM owned Cascadian Farms. They are one of my favorites for a few things. I'll have to see if the library has the book. I'd like to read it. Natalie Portman was just talking about that book yesterday morning on GMA.
  5. Different taste... I don't care for the greasy, just woke up out of bed look that he has. I said I liked him better when I only had to listen to him. Who is Tennis Boy? I never did finish watching last week's performances.
  6. Wow, your bentos are amazing!! I started making some for awhile, but I fell off the wagon. I think I'll try some tommorrow. ITA with what the others are posting about being gluten-free. My daughter's testing was inconclusive, she had 3 markers test positve. She did test positive for a wheat allergy. We decided to go gluten-free, and the change in...
  7. My dd's favorite crust comes from Carol Fenster. The recipe is at www.savorypalate.com We leave out the Italian Seasonings. The recipe makes 2 - 8 inch rounds for us.
  8. Happy, Happy Birthday to you! This would not be my choice for eye shadow, lol!
  9. OMGosh! Go look at those pictures!! Enter the contest!! I found another one for you to enter!! Open Original Shared Link Not even in the same realm as your cakes, but the "Easter Bunny" brought chocolates for my daughter made from the Enjoy Life Chocolate chips. She loved them!! http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b342/one.../Picture073.webp
  10. So true!! I have only watched part of Tuesday's performances and missed the show last night. I think Ramiele was the last one I watched sing so far. I was sort of worried about what was going to happen with Dolly's songs too. I will also say that I closed my eyes and listened to David Cook and I liked him much better. I'll have to finish watching...
  11. I checked them today at my grocery store and they still have the old boxes.
  12. Are these comments directed to me not having my kids eat in the car around town? I fed my kids meals at home. They simply don't need to have food constantly. When on trips, we DO eat in the car. I'm very offended by the comment, "I guess you need to ask yourself what is more important, kids or car. No contest for me." I spend HOURS in the kitchen...
  13. I preheat the oven to 200 while I'm mixing the bread, put the loaf pan in the oven, turn the oven off. I let the bread rise until it is just below the top the rim, checking with the oven light. In my oven, it takes about 15-20 minutes. Then I kick the oven back on to 400 and let it bake for another 20 minutes without taking the bread out while it preheats...
  14. I agree with the poster that said that you have to kind of wait awhile to forget what bread tastes like. I made quite a few bricks, cried buckets of tears, and wasted a lot of money. What worked for me was to quit trying to make bread for awhile. I started making the banana muffins from www.savorypalate.com Those worked and tasted good to even the gluten...
  15. Wow, I knew I was missing someone. I did like Kristy this week, for the same reason. at your comment about the ballads! My dd said the other night, "Why are they singing such sad songs tonight?" Really, Angie!?! That is ridiculous. Then it is all fixed, then. My hubby and son like David Cook. He just really annoys me, everything...
  16. Do you mean the everyday, running around town? I had that problem when my kids were younger. But when I got a new car, I didn't want the mess and stuff so I decided that they didn't need to eat in my car unless we were on a trip. I would always have water, but the food wasn't eaten in my car unless we were on a trip. Maybe I wasn't as busy as you are...
  17. We just returned from a short trip to the Dells. We had a great time DH found it had a 2 br condo with a full kitchen and a very reasonable rate, including the waterpark admission. We booked it several months ago. Last week, I decided to call to talk about food, forgetting that we had the cooking facilities, and was very discouraged when I couldn't...
  18. I'm so happy to see this thread! I will look for these next time I'm at the store.
  19. So, what did everyone think of Idol this week? I wasn't that thrilled with any of the performances this week. I think that Michael Johns was pretty good, Brooke was okay except her false start. I didn't like Carly, David Cook, or David Archuletta at all. I missed Ramielle, Syesha, and Chikezie. I never like Jason. Can't think of who I'm missing...
  20. Very interesting! I read your other thread, but didn't have any helpful advice to help you. I'm glad that you found something to work for you! Maybe I'll pick some up and do a trial myself.
  21. Congratulations on your sweet little grandson! Thanks for sharing!!
  22. Hey GFF, (sorry, I don't remember your name) Did you know that Wilton is having a castle contest every month? I really think you should send your picture in that you posted. It is definitely every bit as beautiful as some of the past winners!!
  23. ((hugs)) I'm sorry you are feeling so bad right now. I hope it goes away fast! that the EM hides how you are really feeling. That's great!
  24. I have tried so many recipes and Carleigh just hasn't liked any of them, or they flop for me. I did just see on another thread another recipe for me to try though. I keep trying. I think the problem is that her allergy list is so extensive that there are so many subs. Great idea! I do think that gluten-free sugar cookies could be made in the...
  25. I used Enjoy Life chocolate chips and a mold to make some chocolate bunnies, flowers, and eggs. I also picked up some Jolly Rancher jelly beans and marshmallow peeps. I've also got the Dum Dum lollipops in the cabinet. Our Easter bunny is bringing her some new sheets for her bed, lol.
